Stock#979-LOU Vehicle is located in Memphis, IN. 16 miles north of downtown Louisville, off I65. $24,995.00 1957 Ford F-100 812-294-1555 Engine: 302 CID V8 Body: Truck Transmission: C4 Exterior Color: Gray Interior Color: Black/ Silver Metallic Mileage: 5000 (Unknown) Aluminum Wheels Custom Wheels Leather Interior Power Steering Radial Tires Seatbelts Tilt Wheel This 1957 F100 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. In 1957 Ford introduced its new, completely redesigned, third generation F-Series. Following after its competitors, Dodge and GM, Ford widened the front bodywork while integrating the hood with a clamshell design. This feature would be part of the F Series design for the next two decades. The biggest change still was the option of two different beds, the normal step side bed which had the flares over the wheels and naturally a much curvier shape. The other, as this truck is known as, would be the Fleetside. Since everything seemed to be going more streamline in those times it was a natural fit. Some would say that the Fleetside truck was the reason Ford beat Chevy in sales for the first time in their storied career. This 1957 Ford Fleetside is a great example of what these trucks can turn out to be. The body is one of the straightest I have seen with the custom touches like the rear end's tail lights being recessed into each side of the bed. The antenna has been frenched into the side of the cab and looks as if it was to come from the factory that way. The fitment of the panels are as good as they come with the grey having a satin shine making this truck an awesome looker as is or ready to apply your own personal touch with a simple paint job with hardly no prep work involved. The front end has a modern Camaro clip underneath it with power steering already added this truck is a breeze to drive. The stance on it makes it look like its ready to attack while the staggered wheels only add to the effect. Under the hood is a well built Ford 302 that has a decent cam. Yes it's actually an all Ford drive train which makes this little hotrod that much more desirable. Backed up by a C4 transmission controlled by a LOKAR shifter this rare truck has nothing but the best parts. Hit the button on the remote popper to get the shaved door to open and you will find a luxurious black Ultra Leather bench seat has been added while the custom Grant GT steering wheel on the tilt column makes getting in and out easier. Look down and you will see a complete set of Dolphin white face gauges staring right back at you. The dash and trim have all been painted silver with heavy flake while a black accent runs throughout the truck. The custom chrome handles finish off a very clean yet understated interior. If you want a super rare quality build that is sure to turn heads at every cruise and run you attend look no further. Options on this 1957 Ford F100 Fleetside include; Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Leather Interior, Seat Belts, Keyless Entry, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped in Radial Tires. Selling a 1957 Chevy 3100 Pick Up. Great running with a strong motor and newer rebuilt automatic transmission. Car does freeway speeds no problem. Lots done to the truck by previous owner and myself, but just not getting used like it should here in San Francisco and hate seeing it sit in my garage. Now is the time for me to pass to someone else and use the funds for other projects. Here are the details:ENGINE AND BODY 1957 Chevy 3100 small window/shortbed pick up Clean title in my name and registration paid until December 2014 Chevy 350 V8 rebuilt by previous owner (not sure about mileage...but I have only put about 2000 miles since I bought it in 2006. What can you say, San Francisco is a pretty small city) Rebuilt THM 400 automatic transmission Just had new top end done with new head gaskets, rebuilt cylinder heads, valve guides, hoses, plugs, etc. New big fan and fan shroud helps this truck run without getting hot. New Edelbrock intake manifold with new thermostat and carb gaskets (2 barrel carbs) New Bosch alternator and Bosch starter New engine motor mounts New brakes and hoses Newer exhaust front to rear Brand new (less than 100 miles) Firestone Destination LE tires all around (P215/70/R15 Fronts - P235/70/R15 Rears) New rear chrome bumper / Rechromed front bumber Newer chromed hood and fender ornaments and side step plates / door handles Fairly new chrome wheels all around New, larger engine fan All windows work well, all glass has no cracks, windshield does have some wiper blade scratches on passenger side Recent tune up with new spark plugs, timing checked, new serpentine belt, hoses, fluids New turn signal lenses and newer chromed headlight rings. Truck does NOT have power steering or disk brakes (drums all around) Paint looks good from 10 feet...but there are scratches and touch ups around truck and in bed (I used it to move motorcycles and parts...it got used as a truck when working on the house).INTERIOR Bench seat gone through with new dense foam, springs fixed where needed and new upholstery Uncut original dash / gauges and speedo non op / dash lights work as well as interior cab light B%26M floor shifter Brand new under dash gauges (Volts/Water Temp/Oil Pressure) with copper lines New sound dampener and black molded carpet kit New kickplates with speakers built in. Just never got stereo put in New glove box insert New seat belts / sun visors / rearview mirror / headliner insert Aftermarket turn signals and horn on steering column Gas tank located behind bench seat in cabTHINGS TO NOTE: Though the radiator was gone through and repainted a few years ago, a new small leak has just appeared. Will work with buyer to remedy that. There are some minor rust areas under doors (common) and in the inner front fenders/wheel wells and inside cab edge (not cab corners) Doors still need some aligning and adjustingYou can see more detailed/larger photos through this flickr link (copy and paste into a browser):https://www.flickr.com/photos/126290382@N08/with/14931685296Here are a few videos of the truck starting (starts right up with the turn of the key) and engine running/idling. "No other car in history has captured the heart and soul of American design and forward thinking than that of the 1957 Chevrolet. A classic icon of American style with a timeless look that everyone recognizes. It brings us back to a simpler time of Doo-Wop's and Drive-In's, Levis, rolled up white T-shirts, and black leather jackets. For your consideration is an absolutely beautiful example of what we call a show car driver. A high end restoration that looks like you spent $80,000 at a fraction of the price! This car is highly detailed, but not overdone to the point of a trailer queen. This machine was built to show and go! This Chevolet is powered by a small block 350 V8 335 hp crate engine and mated to a 350 Turbo Hydra-Matic Auto Transmission, with a B&M 4 speed" looking automatic floor shifter. The engine bay has enough bling to make even Mr. T jealous. Edelbrock Performer Intake and Edelbrock Performer 600 CFM Carburetor both with Endurashine Finish (Chrome). Polished Aluminum Core Support with Integrated Aluminum Radiator, Dual Spal Electric Fans, Polished Billet Hood Hinges by Eddie Motorsports, Hedman Silver Ceramic Coated Headers, Chevy Performance Aluminum Valve Covers, Polished Aluminum Hood Cross Support, March Performance Billet Serpentine Pulley System, Wilwood 4 Wheel Power Disk Brake System w- Chrome Booster, and topping off with an awesome March Performance Air Cleaner assembly. The Restoration on this car was done about 3 years ago with approximate 500 miles since completion. The Base Coat-Clear Coat Turquoise (or Teal) Paint has a brilliant finish. All of the chrome and stainless has been either replaced with new, polished, or re-chromed. The doors close like they should. The hood and trunk close and fit very nicely. All of the weather stripping and glass are new. Windows roll up and down freely. New wheels and tires plant this machine to the ground. Note: I have a set of low profile tires and chrome 18" rims that we could swap out if the buyer preferred that look. The body was off the car during restoration. The frame and floors are painted satin black with no undercoat. Just steel and paint! There were new floors installed under the seat areas. The work was professionally done and all correct stamped steel was used. Posted are multiple pictures of the undercarriage to show the integrity of this bowtie. No rust, corrosion, soft spots, etc. Very solid car. Everything is new underneath including fuel tank, shocks, brake lines, fuel lines, cables, etc. A new Optima Battery and cables have been installed in the trunk with a Billet battery holder. Trunk is solid, painted the car color, and has a new custom mat with Chevrolet embroidery. This interior is one of the most comfortable I have come across in a classic car. Much like the rest of the car, not overdone. But sharp, clean, impressive, and simple. The seats are out of a 2000 Chevy truck and have been newly reupholstered. The rear seat fabric matches, and also has a custom tweed headliner, carpet, and matching gray door panels. The bucket seats have folding armrests. Whether the driver is 5 foot or 6 foot tall, the interior provides maximum comfort for any size. The dash has been painted two tone gray and turquoise, and looks great. New street rod VHX analog gauges have been installed from Dakota Digital. This includes the speedometer, temps, pressures, RPM's, volts, and odometer. A new mahogany & chrome Billet steering wheel, and a Retro Sound AM-FM radio with USB card reader and iPod aux imput to cruise with all of your favorite music! Note: the car does not have power steering. It drives quite nicely with manual steering, and has a great old school feel. It's a fantastic driver, tight, solid, and delivers ample acceleration while taking it easy in the wallet!
