I got this truck on a trade and apologize for not knowing much about its history. Please don't ask for more pictures as a friend took them and this is all that's available, thanks. Ive been told this is a Very Rare truck being a Original Shortbed Fleetside, Custom Cab, Big Window! It has a straight 6 Cyclinder with a 3 speed on the floor and runs and drives good. It has a Sony CD Player with speakers and nice whitewall tires. All the lights and blinkers work well. The body has some minor cancer, and some patches in the floors. Good news is that I was told the truck has always been a West Coast truck. Overall, this is a COOL TRUCK that will need some finishing and will hopefully find a new, caring home. Please have ALL funds in place prior to bidding, thanks. This is one of the nicest un-restored original paint 1986 Chevrolet C10 SHORTBED Fleetside pickups available in the World. With Only 53k original miles, un-restored, and stunning! This truck was a special ordered truck by the original owner and took 6 months to arrive before the original owner took delivery of his new truck. I have all documentation on this truck including the owners manuals, etc. Many collectors strive for this documentation and few achieve it. This 1986 Chevrolet C10 shortbed is the one you dream of owning for all the hard core Chevy enthusiasts that demand a nice factory black original paint, cancer free truck being ROCK SOLID inside and out. It's guaranteed to be a standout in any event or serious collector's stable. It has the kind of patina that makes you wanna lock up the minute you lay your eyes on it. To say the least, it looks super impressive for being almost 30 years years old! Don't buy a restored one that you know nothing about, there only original once. The truck has been lowered to achieve a perfect stance, new dropped spindles, tie rods, springs, and everything else regarding the front suspension were replaced to ensure a proper ride. In the rear, we used used air shocks to enable the rear to be raised in the event you want to put something heavy in the back and still maintain the perfect look and ride. The air valve for the rear shocks was conveniently placed in the fuel tank door for ease of access. The truck cruises on the highway like a new truck. The exhaust is all new from the headers to tail pipe and sounds great. It has 1 Chamber flowmaster so it sounds super aggressive. This is a highly optioned truck, when special ordered new it was fully loaded including, power steering, power disc brakes, power locks, tinted glass, tilt wheel, original am-fm stereo and speakers, Dual gas tanks, working ice cold air condoning, cruise control, along with nice hot heater, and awesome looking 20" Boss Wheels all the way around. It runs and drives great. All chrome, trim, and bright work are present and nice as well. It has a beautiful stance. It's extremely dry with no cancer, the undercarriage will surprise you with how clean and dry it is. This truck is a Federal truck, meaning it won't pass CA emissions as the smog parts were removed. The truck has always been a garaged East Coast truck therefore never needing a smog check. This roadster must have been an exotic sight sitting on the show room floor of Anchorage Studebaker, Packard, Mercedes-Benz. The lucky man who drove away with the rare treasure was Dr. William Sedwick. For the next 42 years the car would make a welcome traveling companion through the Alaska countryside for Dr. Sedwick and his wife, driving the 65 miles from Anchorage to their vacation home on Nancy Lake. In 2003, after only 45,000 miles, the car moved on to a new owner, Gordon Apker of Seattle, Washington. Mr. Apker enjoyed the 300 SL for one year before deciding to press forward with a complete concourse restoration. That daunting task fell on the renowned 300 SL restorer Rudi Koniczek of Victoria, British Columbia. Over the next 3 years Rudy & Company completed a meticulous nut-and-bolt restoration. During that time the decision was made that the bare metal refurbishment would be finished in Weissgau (white-grey) with a complementing darker shade on the rare factory hardtop. Completing the look are the dark green leather interior, factory soft-top, and matching luggage. Undoubtedly one of the most elegant color combinations, the result is absolutely spectacular. During the restoration it was noted that this Roadster was equipped with the sought-after, high performance drum brakes. The full floating, twin cylinder, steel shoe design was a significant improvement to the earlier single cylinder, aluminum shoe design, and was the ultimate development of the Mercedes drum brake, which set new standards of effectiveness and reliability. Many a seasoned 300 SL owner will say they prefer the tried-and-true drum brakes to the relatively untested technology of the early discs, especially for extended events such as the Colorado Grand or the Copperstate 1000. In 2010 the 300 SL changed hands once again to Terry Rafiah, owner of Mercedes-Benz Baltimore and Wilmington, Delaware. A collector of numerous 300 SLs over the past decade, Mr. Rafiah knew exactly what he was looking for and found it in this exceptional Roadster. The correctly finished engine compartment, rare Rudge wheels, European headlights, gleaming chrome, carefully burnished paint and sumptuously finished interior create an overall visual presence that makes this Roadster a true standout among the finest restored examples. The car comes complete with its original set of manuals and tools. With the 300 SL a must-have on many collectors' lists, genuine low-mileage, two or even three-owner cars have become rarities. Finding a roadster that has been restored and finished to such a high standard truly represents an opportunity not to be missed. Cobra Chassis Instruction Book, Shelby factory invoice, and period brochures. Comes with original tools, tool bag, jack, soft top, side curtains, and tonneau cover While working as an aerospace engineer at Douglas Aircraft in 1964, John Hector began his search for a Cobra. He had driven a classmate's Cobra after college and had become entranced by the prospect of owning one himself. He inquired after a few used cars, until he came upon a new 289 Cobra in Utah. Walter Larson Ford in Murray, Utah was anxious to move their Cobra before winter set in, so a deal was struck and on December 23, 1964 Hector boarded a plane and set off for Utah to collect his car. The original sticker price was $6465, and the final sale price was only $5299. Quite the deal indeed. Unfortunately they had not beaten the onset of winter in Utah, and snow had started to fall. So Hector did what any young American would do with a new Cobra in the snow, he fitted a set of rear winter tires and began the 800 mile drive over the mountains to his parents' house in Portland Oregon. He was turned back at the Cascade Mountains because he had inadvertently planned his trip during what would become known as the "The Christmas Flood of 1964", the worst storm the Northwest had seen in recorded history. Thankfully Hector and the Cobra survived the journey, and they made it to Portland on Christmas Day. Hector would bring the Cobra home to Anaheim, California, and would go on to use the car as his daily driver for the next two years. During that time he would compete in a few autocross events in LA, San Diego, and Portland. In 1973 the car would be repainted in its original red. That same year Hector would move to Oregon, and the Cobra would be set aside, and driven infrequently, except for occasional local vintage sports car rallies. CSX 2337 has never been in an accident, and the aluminum body remains completely original. The engine, transmission, and rear end are original to the car. Even the original spare tire, which has never been used, is included with the car. This 9,429-mile 25th Anniversary edition expresses Horatio Pagani's interpretation of the striking Marcello Gandini design. A very well kept collector car, in 2007, at 14,463 km, the Countach had its complete fuel system refurbished from the gas tank to the fuel injectors, as well as the brake calipers rebuilt and brake system restored, and a new alternator and climate control module installed representing over $10,000 worth of work. Since arriving at Canepa the Countach has been completely cosmetically detailed and mechanically serviced. The engine was tuned, and every mechanical system in the car was evaluated and repaired if necessary. Over 200 hours was spent on the exterior and interior detailing alone. No expense was spared on this low mileage, original car, and the Countach has received anything required to bring it to 100% condition. As it sits now the Countach is impeccable both mechanically and cosmetically. And for those who miss the rear wing, have no fear ... the car comes with its original rear wing in excellent condition, and ready to be reinstalled if wished. About the 25th Anniversary Countach 5167 cc V12 Horsepower: 449 Torque: 369 ft/lb 0-62 mph: 4.9 seconds Top Speed: 183 mph Named to honor the company's twenty-fifth anniversary, the 25th Anniversary Countach was mechanically very similar to the 5000QV but sported much changed styling courtesy of Horatio Pagani. The rear air boxes were restyled and enlarged, while the vents behind them were changed so that they ran front to back instead of side to side. In addition, a new air dam and side skirting, both with air intakes, were fitted, and the taillights were restyled to be narrower, with body-colored panels replacing the upper and lower parts of the previous large taillights. The styling changes were striking on the 25 year old design, and had the added benefit of improved the engine's cooling, a problem the powerful Countach had always struggled with. The Countach also featured 345/35R15 tires; the widest tires ever available on a production car at the time. The Anniversary was produced from 1988 to 1990 when it was finally replaced by the Lamborghini Diablo. The trip from Germany to Italy was just the beginning of the car's international history. After two Milanese owners, 120564 arrived in California, where it resided until the famous Matsuda Collection (The Porsche Museum of Japan) purchased it in the 1980s. When the collection broke up in 1999 the Carrera 2 returned to the West Coast of the United States to be put into the private collection of esteemed car collector John McCaw. He would end up selling the car a year later to Douglas Atkins of Seattle, Washington with 73,137 kilometers (45,445 miles). In January of 2001 Atkins had the car stripped down for a cosmetic restoration by Rudi & Company. During the restoration the car was found to be rust free, and still had its original floors and body panels. 120564 was painted in its correct silver, and a new, green leather interior from Autos International was installed. Being a Rudi & Company restoration the work was impeccable, and the car was completed in June of 2002. After its restoration Atkins drove the car to Monterey from Seattle for Speedsterfest in the 2004, where it performed flawlessly. The Carrera 2 was maintained regularly, and has only covered 6700 miles since 2000. Since arriving at Canepa the Carrera has been fully mechanically serviced and cosmetically detailed. The original four-cam engine, one of the most complex and exquisite engines ever designed, was fully rebuilt. The unique annular disc brake system was also completely rebuilt including new wheel bearings and pads. The Carrera is completely road ready, and the current mileage of 84,037 km (52,186 miles) is believed to be true and original. The car comes with a rare and correct tool roll, books, and all records since it 2001 restoration. Here is an excellent opportunity to own a sorted and correct example of the pinnacle of 356 production. About the Carrera 2 Introduced in the autumn of 1961 at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the 2-liter Carrera 2 became the first Porsche production car to have disc brakes. Numerous additional cooling vents were among the recently introduced improvements, but most attention was focused on the new 1,966cc four-cam engine. This produced 130bhp (DIN) at 6,200rpm, and while the Carrera's top speed increased only slightly to around 125mph, there was a marked improvement in acceleration despite the newcomer's greater weight, the 0-100mph time being cut from 33.5 seconds to 27.2. The Carrera 2 had been introduced part way through 356B production, and continued virtually unchanged after the 356C's arrival in 1963. The Fuhrmann-designed Carrera 4-cam engine, Type 587/1, with 130 hp, was very complex, and it took an experienced factory mechanic using brand new parts nearly 100 hours to assemble. This was an expensive venture for any car company, let alone one as small as Porsche. The 356B Carrera 2 Cabriolet cost around $8,000, almost twice the cost of a similar pushrod-engined Cabriolet, by far the most expensive road car Porsche had ever produced, and probably the most costly to build. As a comparison, a new Cadillac Eldorado convertible cost just over $6,000. Obviously, this was a hard car to sell at those numbers, which accounts for its scarcity and exclusivity today. "The car's acceleration is truly exhilarating," enthused Road & Track magazine. "The clutch takes quite a bit of throttle without protest, and when one finds that it is time for 2nd gear, down comes the stick in a flick, more acceleration, and other cars pass as in reverse. High up in the speed range this is it-the effortless superiority of the true high-performance machine." 1,966 CC DOHC Flat 4-Cylinder Engine Dual Solex 40PII-4 Downdraft Carburetors 130 BHP at 6,200 RPM 4-Speed Manual Gearbox 4-Wheel Annular Disc Brakes Independent Front and Rear Suspensio Contact Automobile Sales on 408 656 1491 to discuss this exceptional motorcar. Owned by Steve Hall of Novato, CA through the early 70s, it would resurface in 1988 when Cliff Gilbar brokered a deal for Ken Gimelli of Santa Cruz, CA on the car. It was located in Los Angles and belonged to a gypsy couple that read fortunes for a living. Ken, a long time Cadillac collector, would pick the car up, and discover how all-original the Eldorado was. In its original blue paint with white interior, it appeared the car had never been touched. Around 1991 Gimelli would sell the car to Steve Marini, owner of GM Sports in Stockton, CA. An Eldorado aficionado, Marini drove the car often, and became so enamored of this particular example decided to do a complete, body off, nut-and-bolt restoration. At the cost of over $150k the Eldorado was rebuilt from the ground up using as many original parts as possible, and substandard items were replaced with NOS parts from Marini's collection. The result was a show-winning car that made multiple appearances at numerous concours and car shows across Northern California. In late 2007 it was time for the Eldorado to move on to a new owner. Although the new owner loved the vehicle, he did not love the original Azure Blue paint and interior. In early 2008 he took the Cadillac to Jerry Hjeltness of Hjeltness Restoration in Escondido, CA. Having done an award winning Mercedes-Benz 300SL restoration for him in the past he knew that Jerry was the man for the job. Hjeltness disassembled the car and took the body down to the metal. Over the next 6 months they would repaint the car in its stunning Norman Grey paint, recover the interior in a vast expanse of red leather, and recondition all of the bright work. They approached the project as the do all of their Pebble Beach winning automobiles, and the result is a cosmetically stunning car that wouldn't flinch being called a work of art. Always pursuing to perfect the Eldorado, in 2010 the owner took the car to another Pebble Beach winner, Butch Dennison in Puyallup, WA. This time the mechanicals were the focus. There at Dennison International Motorsports the car was treated to a complete mechanical refit of the driveline, brakes, and suspension. Now at Canepa the Eldorado has been fully inspected and serviced. As with all of our cars the Eldorado has been treated to a complete concours level detail, and is ready once again to grace any show lawn, and win. About the 1953 Cadillac Eldorado The Eldorado has a limited-production special convertible body that is quite unlike the standard 1953 Cadillac Convertible Coupe, Style 53-6267. The four fenders, trunk lid and floor pan are the only major body panels that are shared intact with the standard convertible; the hood, cowl, doors and body shell are coach-built by the craftsmen of Fisher/Fleetwood. The new, for 1953, wrap-around windshield was a precursor of a major forthcoming styling change to the entire General Motors line of automobiles. The long, low appearance of the Eldorado is not an illusion created by the low-cut doors and belt line. The 5 5/8 inch road clearance of the Eldorado is one inch less than the standard convertible, and the overall height is three inches less, at 58 1/8 inches. Numerous subtle features including a padded dashboard, unique interior upholstery treatments and a completely disappearing convertible top, distinguish the Eldorado from the standard convertible. The substantial amount of skilled labor and individual bodywork involved in building each Eldorado was expensive. It is likely that Cadillac lost money on every 1953 Eldorado, but made up for it in publicity, prestige and public interest. It certainly did not hurt their reputation to have the new President of the United States, Dwight D. Eisenhower, parade through the streets in a new white 1953 Eldorado during his inaugural parade. I had the truck sold, and found it has 175k miles. Offered is a extremely original, and excellent original example of a first generation 1981 Toyota 4WD Short bed pickup truck. This is a 100% original paint truck, only paint work is in the bed to clean up scratches in bed from light use. It had a camper shell on it for years so this really preserved the bed. All of the rest of the paint on this truck is absolutely original, and in really NICE shape. It was garaged since new and traveled only 175,650 original miles in 34 years. There are minor paint (chips, scratches, dings) flaws due to it being a 34 year old survivor, but it's a great looking little rig. It gets looks everywhere, people even stop to take pictures of it, while at a local event, I was approached by a editor of a magazine wanted to to an article on it, I declined as I was planning to sell it and know that some people prefer keeping t here collections private, it's just that nice. Same goes with the interior, it's excellent all around. It has excellent carpet with some wear, seats, Even the visors and headliner is nice, Only thing I'd do inside of it is replace the dash pad as it has some wear from sunlight, Even behind the seats is super Clean. No cracks or issues with the center console, no sagging or ripped headliner, I've looked at all components, and as far as I can tell everything works, original radio, perfect door panels and original speakers, everything. Oil is fresh as well, and not due for about 2500 miles, it has been maintained, and cared for very well. It's been fully serviced by my friend who's a retired Toyota technician, it has new suspension, and new tires with less than 100 miles. It even has the original date coded wheels original to the truck! Please copy and paste the link for 40 high resolution pictures on this auction http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/q638/my81toyota4x4/image.jpg1_zpscm6zmiiv.jpg I cant say enough about the truck hence the long description. I wanted to take several pictures to show the quality of the truck http://i1167.photobucket.com/albums/q638/my81toyota4x4/image.jpg1_zpscm6zmiiv.jpg Its NEVER been in any accidents, etc. Still wearing its original California Blue License Plates front and rear. It still retains its original date coded Toyota wheels (Still have original paint with a nice original spare as well. Its driven occasionally so the miles may increase due to driving, Its a true garage find. The truck is very clean top, and bottom. There is no cancer issue with this truck. It has always been garaged, and that shows in all the pictures. There aren't any of the typical rust issues on this one like is found on the typical daily driver pickup truck from this era. I've driven the truck a little, not a lot. But, it drives like a new Toyota, and drives perfectly. Selling as I found my dream 1985 Toyota 4x4 a week later so this one has to go. This truck is a true survivor 1981 Toyota 4x4 Shortbed truck as you can tell, No a/c on this one, but the windows roll up and down nicely, and back window has the slider option. This is a once in a lifetime find, there just aren't that many left around in this kind of survivor condition. Lets face it, they're only original once, and not many still look, and smell new inside at 34 years of age. No leaks, doesn't drip anything on the driveway. The truck was professionally detailed yesterday, and is ready for it's new owner. Look at the pics, the truck really speaks for itself, nothing hidden here. If you have questions please email, and I'll answer pretty quickly. I prefer wire transfer or cash in person. Thanks for looking, bid to win, this truck is awesome to say the least, and I'm sure the bidding will likely reflect that, so bid to win if you want it. Thanks!
