We are pleased to offer this recently restored 1973 Porsche 914 1.7. This is a 2 owner California car. We have restored this Porsche to above driver level condition. The exterior color is the original Phoenix Red, the seats have been recovered with Black Leatherette. The engine is the original 1.7 litre with only 56k original miles. This Porsche fires straight up, no hesitation. The engine runs smoothly with plenty of power from the 4 cylinder engine. We have serviced this engine, also all lines and hoses have been replaced. The trans shifts smoothly and correctly, the clutch is smooth and correct. The suspension is firm with good shocks on the all round. The brakes work as they should, all electrics function correctly. The body is in excellent condition with no dents or scratches. We have inspected this Porsche all over and there are NO signs of any accidents or rust issues, this as solid a 914 as you will find. The interior is in excellent condition. New carpets, seats have been recovered, a couple of cracks in the original dash but nothing major. All weatherstripping has been replaced, also new windshield. Pretty cool little car, one of the best available at this time. Just jump in, crank it up and off you go. We purchased this Porsche from the 2nd owner who had the car for 2 years, before illness forced sale. This is an original Signal Red 356. We removed all interior, windows, doors, trunk, hood and engine. We then used rust protector, and sound proofing throughout. We were impressed how solid and rust free this 356 is. All floors are original, We didn't find any extensive rust. This is as solid and original 356 as you will find. The car has resided in California its whole life, and has obviously been garaged. We replaced all weatherstripping, we had all original chrome-rechromed, new carpets, recovered front seats, replaced headliner, and much much more. The engine has been rebuilt, the clutch is new, most suspension and bushing parts have been replaced. This is as nice a driving 356 as you will find. Engine purrs, transmission is smooth and correct, suspension is firm, and brakes work as they should. We have all original date stamped wheels that will come with the car. The wheels on the 356 at this time are replicas. The first owner of this car was an engineer at a Aircraft Manufacturer in Los Angeles. He drove this car back and forth to work throughout his career, making sure that all oil changes and so forth were carried out in a timely manor. Let it dry for a day or so and then sound proofing will begin. Gas tank removed. Took pictures of the underside before Porsche going to body shop. Back from body shop. Porsche looks great. We are listing this Cadillac, that must be sold, to settle an estate. It has only 90,000 miles on it. Incredibly it has only been driven 6,000 miles since 1998! The owners pampered it! It is in very nice condition. Everything works including A/C and heat, auto/delay headlights all windows, door locks and power seats function as they should. Always garaged. Never smoked in. The body is nearly perfect with no dents or dings. There are a few minor nicks in the paint, barely noticeable. The interior is very nice too. The seats and carpets show almost no wear. The dash and door panels are excellent. The headliner has a few saggy spots, due to age. The 4.1 L V8 engine runs excellent. It is so clean, under the hood, that you could literally eat off of the motor! I just had it smogged. The tags are good thru 12/2016. The battery is brand new. The tires and brakes are almost new. This is a one owner Cad. It was owned by an older couple who have both passed on. I do have a copy of the original title, that we just had to surrender, to remove it from their names, to clear the estate. I have the original owner's manuals etc and lots of documentation over the years. The estate administrator has set the price at $3500.00 or the highest offer near that amount. We also have a 1973 Mercury Marquis 4 dr hardtop with 77,000 genuine miles for $2750 and a very nice 1973 Chrysler Newport with under 72,000 miles. Looks and smells new! $8500! I have a 1979 Ford Thunderbird Convertible that I have decided to let go. I have about 20 vehicles sitting here and I always think that I will get to them soon. That never seems to happe. In 1979-1981 Detroit did not build convertibles. There was some safety issue they were dealing with. Americans love their convertibles so an LA based shop converted TBirds, El Dorados, Lincolns, Camaros etc. in to open cars. They were not cheap but solved the problem This TBird was built by Custom Coach Works out of SoCal. I looked up the production numbers a while back. I don't remember the exact numbers but there were not many built. This was a barn find. It has been stored since 2001 and has less than 82,000 genuine miles on it! Even with the low miles it needs some attention. It runs and drives great. The top needs to be replaced. The driver side window and power seat do not work. I am sure that it is due to a bad connection. The interior is in very nice shape. The seats and carpet look good as does the dash. The body has no rust but the paint is oxidized. I can not get the heat or A/C blower to work. Again I think that is a connection issue. There are no DMV fees due. I have started the paperwork into my name. It has been out of trhe DMV computer so long that I have to take it in to have it verified. Other than that it is ready to go to the new owner. I am selling a very restorable 1958 Ford Fairlane for a friend. It has a good running 292 CID V8 engine. I put a battery in it and some gas in the carb and it fired right up. It does not pick up fuel from the tank. I added 2 gallons. Maybe it is still too low or needs a fuel pump or the tank is plugged. The owner says the clutch , brakes and trans are all in good shape. The body has no major dents or dings and never has had any. There is very little rust anywhere except in the floors. This car was born red and white from the factory. I bet it looked really sharp! The top goes up and down as it should. Once in a while it needs a little coaxing. All of the exterior trim is present and decent. The passenger side piece that is missing from the outside can be seen in the passenger side of the car interior. It was removed for some reason. Also included in this auction, if you want it, is a 1958 Ford Fairlane 4dr sedan for parts. I have a bill of sale only on the 4dr. It has no engine or trans. Most of the parts will not fit the convertible. The front end, bumpers & dash are the same on both cars but the floors will not work on the convertible repair. The front and rear seats have already been recovered in original fabric. They are very nice. The wide white walls are expensive virgin rubber tires! The guy that owns the car has over $10,000 in it. I have a nice little 1986 Fiero for sale. It has the 2.8 V6 with an automatic transmission. I had been looking for a V6 Fiero for ever! Every time I saw one sitting I would stop to check it out. They were all the 2M4 2.5 L 4 cylinder cars. I had one and much prefer the V6! I bought it from an auto shop in Santa Barbara California. It has been in SB all of it's life. It runs and drives. The engine has a noise in it that sounds like a rod knock. The guy at the shop said that they think it is a stuck injector. I am not enough of a mechanic to be able to tell. It starts right up and sounds good. When I rev it I can hear the knock but it does not seem to be at crankshaft speed. It does not smoke. It seems to have good compression. I took a picture of the gauges with it running and you can see the oil pressure is good. I have driven it up and down the street where I live. The trans shifts well and the steering and brakes are fine. The cruise control works . The windows both work well . The sunroof does not leak. The interior is real decent. The driver's seat has a couple of tears. See pics. The A/C is intact but needs to be charged. I was going to add Freon but it is an R-12 system and I only have R-134. The tires are not too bad and have a lot of tread left. The mechanic said that they just installed a new computer and did a tune up. There is some paperwork for an after market suspension upgrade in the box of extra goodies that come with the car. I do not know enough about it to determine if it has been installed. I just kind of laid the brand new bra on the front to take the picture. I do not think it has ever been installed. It has the Fiero insignia on it. The body panels are all good. No cracking or broken pieces anywhere. The Fiero is still wearing the factory paint job. The clear coat is failing in spots. I have the California title from the seller. I have not transferred it to my name. He told me that there are back fees. I do not know how much they are. If it is registered outside of California they will be deleted. There is a California DMV rule to remove back fees from antique, classic and special interest cars that I have used on other vehicles too. I am sure that the spare tire and jack etc. have never been removed. they are intact and the trunk area looks almost as new! I found this rust free 1981 GMC in the California Central Valley. I live on the coast near Pismo Beach and we see a lot of rust in vehicles around here because of the salt air. I was very glad to find this little Jimmy without any rust. I always liked the lowered stepside pickups with a huge set of tires under them. This one was a fleetside and I think the previous owner drove by braille. The right side of the bed was all caved in from bouncing off of whatever got in his way. He did tag the lower right door lightly, but the dent popped right out. It was not easy to find a GMC stepside bed but lo and behold there is one on it now. It is the same as a Chevy, except for the tailgate anyway. I had planned to use a bumper from an El Camino or may be a station wagon that has the tail lights in it already so there is no rear bumper at the moment. The interior was switched to green, possibly by the same blind guy, that ran into everything. It is hideously ugly and I was already committing a couple of paychecks to the LMC truck parts catalog to rid myself of the green. The old gal runs half way decent, at the moment. The 250 CID straight 6 cylinder engine and the 3 speed manual transmission both work just fine, but were not in my plan to keep. I was hoping to install a nice small block Chevy with a Car 4 speed to make a little hot rod out of it. In my rush to get started on the project I guess I completely spaced on the California smog laws and that put a damper on my plans. So I have decided to look for a 1975 or older truck that doesn't need to be smogged and let this one go. Maybe you live in a state that you can actually follow through with my plan. Or just drive her the way she is. THE TIRES AND BRAKES ARE GOOD. THE CLUTCH LETS OUT JUST BARELY OFF OF THE FLOOR SO YOU MUST BE SURE IT IS ALL OF THE WAY IN.THE MUFFLER IS BRAND NEW TOO! I have a California title in my name. The truck will not currently smog, in California, due to a part for the choke being broken on the carburetor. I have located another carburetor for $100.00 if needed. This is a no frills truck no power steering, no power brakes, no A/C, but it does have see thru windows and rotating tires, summer heating and winter air conditioning if that's any consolation. I can deliver the truck for $1.00 per mile round trip up to 200 miles or so. Or I can assist (loading/unloading) with shipping.
