If you are looking at this ad you probably already know that this is one of the great automotive unicorns. The 6-speed second generation V70R is the last of the great European manual transmission wagons available in the US. Made from 2004 till 2007, fewer than 1000 were brought into the United States. What make this car so special? Try 300 horsepower, 295 lbs/ft of torque, 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission, multi-mode adjustable suspension developed by Öhlins, big Brembo 4 piston brakes, Haldex based all-wheel drive, and a 0-60 time of 5.9 seconds. I bought this car from its original owner in San Francisco. It came with an impressive stack of service records and all the original books, and window sticker. He had done most of services at the Volvo dealer. It was the perfect car for my family at the time with a 2-year old, and parents who liked to drive a car instead of mindlessly commute in one. Well, we've decided to go full electric at the house for our daily drivers. So out with the Volvo and in with a Volt and Fiat 500e. I have serviced the car very well over the past couple of years as you can see below. I worked on it with every intention of keeping it. Most work was done by A&E Motorsports in Santa Cruz, who are V70R experts. The only changes I've made from stock are the addition of chassis stiffeners front and rear (to eliminate the weird side-stepping these cars are known for), K&N air filter, IPD strut bar brace, and the IPD cold-air intake. Nothing boy racer, just things to make an already enjoyable even more enjoyable. Also added factory mud flaps, and Volvo heavy duty floor mats. In the photos the rear headrest is out so I can fit a child seat. It comes with the car, as do the original factory floor mats, a rear privacy screen. Registered through 2016, and garage kept since new. The V70R came with all the goodies, including the touring package, premium package, subwoofer, integrated booster seats, parking assist, heated front seats, and rain sensor. It does not have the 3rd row seat. It does have 114,000 miles, and is ready for many more. It gets between 20-26 mpg depending on your right foot. Work in the last year: New clutch New turbo New timing belt New water pump New Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires New front control arm bushings New ignition coils New spark plugs New alternator and serpentine belt New valve stem seals and head gasket
