1979 MGB 38K miles – VG overall but bad brakes
My friend inherited this from the original owner - her Mom. They enjoyed this British sports car until it had a small engine fire last fall. The first 3 pics are before the fire. The one picture shows the damage to the top of the hood. British Motors in Merrifield VA is repainted the hood at some $1400. They have a very good rep and did a very nice hood repaint. The later pictures are after they finished.
The engine does run now, carb was not damaged. Turns out there was a rubber hose sitting on an exhaust part – not good. Some of the soft parts (hoses etc) were damaged. The engine bay pics are after fire.

1974 Mg Mgb Iii 1974 MG MGB III. 1974 MG MGB III model in mint condition-An excellent example of the Marque this MG MGB model has been in the same family since September 1997. Driven less than 99000 total miles it was initially acquired as an excellent car with a strong straight chassis. The owner has had multiple MG MGBs over the last several decades with this being by far the best of the bunch and his most prized possession. Restoration was completed in April 2000 and has been driven less than 900 miles since. All records since 1997 including a repair order showing the odometer at 91915 on 10297. The color was changed during restoration from the original Old English White to Flame Red though it had been previously repainted a light blue. It has not seen rain since restoration. The car is complete with all parts in good working order and too many new parts to list.. * New radiator water pump and thermostat battery ignition harness and electronic ignition-* Electrical contacts cleaned.
