desUp for auction here is a really heavy-duty, extremely rare 1986 Chevy diesel 4x4, K 30 1 ton pickup truck. In 1986 they made very few of these trucks in this combination. A very small number of these Chevy trucks were diesel 1 ton dually 4-wheel drives. I have seen a lot of Chevy pickups from the 1980's, and I have never seen a 1 ton 4x4 dually diesel like this one, let alone one that has a body this straight, and with a Gear Vendor overdrive installed in it. These gear vendors cost thousands when new. If you are not familiar with these overdrive units, here is a link that helps to explain how they work, and their advantages. https://www.gearvendors.com/4x4gm3s.html This is a no reserve auction, and I am starting it at $1 because I don't have the room to store this truck, so it has to go. The high bidder gets this truck no matter what it sells for. It does need some work before it can be driven on a daily basis. Most of these items are straight-forward, uncomplicated repairs, but I am very busy working right now and just don't have the time to fix them. Below is a list of the good points concerning this truck and the items that need to be repaired: The Good: 1. Really great running 6.2 diesel that burns clean, even when it first starts and is cold. (The photos in this auction were all taken while the truck was running.) I was told it has just under 108,000 original miles on the odometer, but I have no paperwork to prove this. 2. Four wheel drive was tested and works great. 3. Super heavy duty Dana 60 front end with manual hubs and Dana 70 rear end. 4. Other than the rusty spots, the body is very straight with no dents that I can see. 5. Equipped with the highly sought after Gear Vendor overdrive. 6. Has a newer (installed in 1996) heavy duty turbo 400 transmission. 7. Is very highly optioned, especially for a 1 ton dually pickup truck. Comes equipped with PW, PB, PS, tilt, air, deluxe interior, sliding rear window, full gauges, Dana 60 front, Dana 70 rear, NP 205, GV overdrive, turbo 400 trans, CB, AM/FM cassette, etc., etc.. (Take a look at the photo of the factory options list I have included in this auction!) 8. New starter 9. Drives down the road smoothly and solidly as it should. 10. Floor carpeting, door panels, etc. in very nice condition. The deluxe interior is very nice for a truck this age, and the dash and seat are very solid, although there are some minor cracks in the dash and a few small tears in the seat. Also, the grab strap on the driver's side door needs to be reattached. (See detail photos for close-ups of these areas.) The Bad: 1. There is a problem of some kind with the wiring in the truck. The headlights and dash lights work sporadically. No power to Gear Vendor overdrive, radio, and A/C. The alternator works but doesn't charge the batteries. There must be a bad connection somewhere. I imagine when you find and repair the loose wire (or whatever might be the problem), most or all of these problems will be fixed. 2. There are a number of areas where there is surface rust that someone tried to hide with white spray paint, and two small major rusty areas that have rusted through at the rear bottom area of the cab. (See detail photos for close-ups of these areas.) 3. Starting problems. When you first start it, you have to keep the throttle up to a very fast idle or it will die and then won't start until you open the valve on the top of the fuel filter housing to release the air in the line. After this, you need to crank on the starter, let it rest, then let a little more air out, then crank again and repeat this until it starts. After it runs for about 15 seconds or so, it will run great the rest of the day. (There is air getting into the fuel line somewhere between the filler and the tank, I think. It probably would be an easy fix with some new fuel line, but I just don't have the time to fix it.) 4. The front windshield has two cracks in it and needs to be replaced. 6. Needs new harmonic balancer pulley. (It makes a rattling sound.) 7. Needs new front disk brake parts and rotor on driver's front side. 8. Needs new exhaust. 9. Some tires need to be replaced. 10. Oil drips from engine. There is a leaking seal on driver's side of rear axle. 11. Needs new lug nuts with washers for a dually. The previous owner put the wrong kind of lug nuts on it. Well, that's about it. I did my best to write an honest description, but in case I missed something, take a close look at the photos and please feel free to send me an e-mail with any questions you have, and I'll do my best to answer them. With a little work this would be a really nice, very dependable and rare truck. 1984 Ford F-350 2 door pickup 1984 Ford F-350 1 ton 4x4 Manual Pickup Truck

Here is a really solid and tough 1984 Ford F-350 one ton Ford pickup truck with a 4-speed manual transmission, and I think a 427 or 428 gas engine. This truck has been in my family for quite a few years and has been a solid and dependable truck until the 460 that was in it had some mechanical issues. My Dad decided to put a different engine in it, so he pulled out the 460, and had a guy put in what I think is a 427 or 428, I’m not sure which. I don’t know the original mileage of the engine, all I know is the guy he bought it from told us it was a really solid, great running engine, but he wanted a different engine in his truck (maybe a diesel, I can’t remember), so he decided to pull this one out and sell it. The problem is, the guy who put it in for Dad was apparently not as good of a mechanic as he thought he was, because after the engine was installed, he couldn’t get it to run past a rough idle. (We think he did something to the timing.) It could be an easy fix, but I don’t know. Dad put a better bed on it, planned on getting the engine running and painting it so he would have a nice-looking, dependable truck again, but decided that he didn’t need a truck this stout and bought a ¾ ton Ford. As you can see, it even comes with a really nice Warn winch bumper with tow hooks, etc.. Also, the trim on the bed has been removed since the photos were taken, so the truck does not have the bed trim on it now and will be sold without it. Since the cab doesn’t have any trim the buyer would probably remove it anyway. The odometer says the truck has 64,727 miles on it, but since it starts over as soon as it reaches 100,000 miles, I am pretty sure it has gone over at least once, so I am not sure of the original mileage on the truck. Other than the engine problems everything else worked great on the truck when it was running. We pulled horse trailers, equipment trailers, etc. (it comes with a heavy-duty hitch), and it never made any noises. The transmission, rear end, front end, and transfer case all seemed very solid. It also has the optional dual fuel tanks, instrument gauges instead of idiot lights, a brake controller for trailer towing, and a few other options. Unfortunately, after sitting for a while, now it won’t even idle so now it needs to be towed or hauled on a trailer. From what I can see, the body has some minor parking lot dings and some dents in the front corners of each of the front fenders. It also has a small rusted through area on each side of the bed on the bottom rear corner on the outside and rusted through areas at the front of the passenger’s side floor board. Other than some tears in the outside edge on the driver’s seat, the seat looks pretty good, as does the instrument panel and the rest of the interior, other than the dash which, as is usually the case, is cracked. Fix the engine that’s in it (or put your own in), and you will have a very stout, solid truck. Take a close look at the photos, and if you have any questions, just ask. It comes with a clear title. Here is a 1984 Ford ¾ ton 4 wheel drive truck with a stock 6.9 diesel engine and a 4 speed manual transmission. This truck has kind of a unique story behind it. I bought it a couple of years ago from an older gentleman that, from what I was told, bought it in the early ‘90’s. He then proceeded to put tons of money into it. (He provided me with over $7,000 worth of receipts in parts and labor!) From looking at the receipts, it appears this work was all done in the mid ‘90’s. The truck, which had a camper on it at the time, was taken on a few camping trips and then parked. I talked with the son of the truck owner, and he said that after he quit going on trips in the mid ‘90’s, he didn’t think his dad ever drove it any farther than to the local grocery store or post office. He said he didn’t think his dad put any more than 10,000 miles on the truck since he bought it. About two years ago I bought it. I then removed the camper and flat bed, and planned on putting a longer, wider flat bed on it, but now my plans have changed, and I just need to find a good home for it. Now that you know something about its history, I’ll tell you something about the truck itself: I have only put about 2,000 miles on the truck since I have owned it. Below is a partial list of new and repaired parts that were put into this truck that have 12,000 miles or less on them: • Transmission & Clutch: New ring gear, clutch plate, pressure plate, release bearing, etc. (I noticed that the steering wheel has cruise control on it, and there are some cruise controls under the hood, so I think the truck originally had an automatic that was replaced with a 4-speed manual. A couple of guys, however, told me that some manual transmission trucks also came equipped with cruise control.) • Brakes & Wheels: New shoes, pinion seals, wheel cylinders, axle seals, carrier bearings, races, etc. • Misc: Some new fuel hoses, bulbs, wipers switch, power steering pump, heater hose, u-joints, front drive shaft repair, right rear grease seal, glow plugs, starter, etc., etc. (There are lots of other parts that have been replaced or repaired, but you get the idea. As I mentioned, I do have the receipts for all of the work done.) It also has really nice Warn manual hubs on it, and a manual glow plug switch to extend the life of the glow plugs. (You only push the switch to turn the glow plugs on when you need them. They don’t come on all of the time like they would in a stock system.) Unfortunately, the previous owner parked it in a canyon where it sat for years and was only driven occasionally so now it needs a lot of work. As you can see in the photos, the floorboards are rusted out in places, the windshield is cracked from a limb recently falling from a tree, and the brakes work well but have a leak somewhere so you need to add fluid regularly. There is a small exhaust leak up near the engine, and there is a leak around the windshield on the driver’s side corner. Also, the transfer case works great except, for some reason, it makes an occasional clunking noise when pulling heavy loads up a hill. You can feel it make a small jerk when it does this. The transmission, front end, rear end, and 4x4 work great and don’t make any noises. The truck is currently not getting fuel to the fuel pump, so it does not run. It was running strong and smoke-free down the highway, then it suddenly started smoking a little, but then it smoked more and started cutting out while going down the road, so I parked it and asked some guys who know these older 6.9 diesel Fords what they thought was wrong. They told me it was probably a fuel problem and that the fuel lines, seals, etc., are old and probably need to be replaced. I was also told the fuel pump could be going. With this in mind, I put a brand new fuel pump on the truck, then I took the fuel line off where it goes into the fuel filter and had a friend turn over the engine while I watched. No fuel came through the line, so I am pretty sure it is what they say it probably is…a leak in the fuel line somewhere. Also, the last time it was running, I did notice a few drops of diesel dripping from somewhere under the truck, but I wasn’t thinking and turned the truck off before looking to see where the drips were coming from…not a smart move. If I could find the drips, it would probably be easy to fix and solve the problem. It could be an easy fix, but I am very busy with work and just don’t have the time to fix it right now and need the space in my yard. It also comes with a clear title in my name. Well, I guess that’s about it. The truck has had a lot of work done to it, but now it needs a lot of work again from just sitting. You can fix it up though and it would make a great truck. I have owned (or looked at) quite a few of these trucks but have never seen an all-original, 4x4, diesel Pup with a body and frame in this nice of a condition. This little pickup truck has a straight frame with no rust or dents any place that I could find. It even has its original paint! I was told that the truck was garaged most of its life, and when it was not garaged, it spent much, if not most, of the rest of its life being towed behind an RV. It even still even has the tow hitch brackets on the front of it. Everything looks really great on this truck; even the chrome bumpers are nice, which are almost always beat up on these trucks! The running gear looks great too! (Even the CV boots on the front axles are in great shape!) It also has really nice wheels and all terrain tires. The truck comes with a red stock tailgate, and the tailgate net that is currently on the truck. As you can see, this truck even has a nice deluxe interior with a console, bucket seats, etc. Usually the seats, door panels, etc, are beat up in trucks this age, but these items are in good shape. Even the dash is in good shape with no cracks! The only thing this truck needs is to have its new engine installed. The previous owner had a serious problem with the engine and it ended up over-heating and seizing. The engine block was severely damaged (cracked cylinder walls), but it will be included in the sale so you will have extra parts if you want it. Fortunately for me, before I bought the truck, I had already located a really solid Isuzu C223 engine (the same model diesel engine that was originally in the little red Pup), and was able to track down all the parts to rebuild it (not an easy task), had it professionally rebuilt, and ready to install in a little Isuzu truck. (For a more detailed description of the engine, see the description three paragraphs down. The odometer says the truck has 118,960 miles on it, but the previous owner told me it quite working about 20,000 miles ago, so the truck basically has around 138,000 original miles on it. However, like I mentioned earlier, the truck was towed around a lot, so the transmission, etc., actually has a lot fewer miles on it. Don’t forget, included in this sale is a very nice, professionally rebuilt Isuzu 223 diesel engine that is just like the one that was original to the truck. I have had the engine for a while and have been searching for a vehicle to put it in, so I was pretty happy to find such an incredibly nice truck to put the engine in. Unfortunately my work now requires that I pull a tandem axle trailer with my full size pickup truck. Also, my work schedule is so hectic, I just don’t have the time to finish the project. It really bothers me to have to let the engine and truck go because I will probably never again find such a great Pup body / engine combination in this fantastic of a condition. However, it just doesn’t make sense to keep them in storage any longer when someone else can get them on the road again and give them a good home. Now for some information on the engine: This 2.2 Isuzu diesel engine was professionally rebuilt (with receipts) and was originally in an early '80's Chevy Luv pickup truck. It took me weeks to find the parts I needed to have this engine rebuilt. After many hours on the phone and many more on the internet I found what I think was the last .40 over pistons in existence. I had them shipped in from overseas, then I found some of the bearings and rods from a place in the Midwest and a gasket kit from back east, etc... I literally bought the parts I needed from all over the world! If you have ever tried to do a complete rebuild on one of these engines then you know that it is practically impossible to find ALL of the parts to do it. As far as I know I have the only one that has been bored out with new pistons, rods, bearings, valves etc.. It is a complete rebuild, not just honed out with some new rings put in. It is complete with its radiator, starter, injection pump, and all of the goodies you will need to get the truck up and running again, with the exception of maybe a few nuts and bolts for a bracket or something. As you can see in the photos I left the head off of it and took photos of the cylinder walls, tops of the pistons, and valves on the head so you can see the cross hatching of the pistons and see that the pistons and valves are new. If you know much about these little engines, then you know they are a commercial grade engine, used on generators, semi-truck refrigeration units, etc. They have a cast iron head and are very, very tough, built to last many hundreds of thousands of miles (and do!). This is an incredible opportunity to build one of the most highly optioned, nicest, most dependable, and mechanically sound Isuzu Pup diesel 4x4 trucks you will ever find. Don’t forget that with proper maintenance, these little diesel truck are legendary for going many hundreds of thousands of miles without any major repairs, and get incredible mileage doing it!
