- Gorgeous Fastback!- Excellent Paint!- Two Tone Pony Interior!- 289ci Ford V8!- Automatic Transmission!- Same Owner for the Past 8 Years! The first Ford Mustang rolled off the assembly line on March 9, 1964. On April 17, 1964, the Mustang was introduced to the public at the World\'s Fair in New York. Before the day was over, Ford had secured 22,000 orders for the vehicle at dealerships across the country. As such, the Mustang was considered an instant hit with consumers.Contrary to popular belief, the first model year for the Ford Mustang was 1965. Mustangs produced between March 9th and July 31st of 1964 are often coined the 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang by enthusiasts. Initial production of the second round of Mustangs began on August 17th, 1964. Both the original production Mustangs and the second run are technically considered 1965 Mustangs by Ford. That\'s not to say there aren\'t differences between the two. The first Mustangs produced feature unique characteristics that set them apart from those produced after July 31st, 1964. For instance, the 1964 1/2 Mustang features a generator charging system for the battery as well as a generator charge light. It also features either a U-Code, F-Code, or D-Code engine. Additional highlights include a horizontal speedometer layout (also found on 1965s), similar to the one on the Ford Falcon. The Mustang was, after all, based on the Ford Falcon. Thus, the early models carried over some of these features.MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present yet another iconic and stunning 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback, complete with true two tone Pony interior and a 289ci V8. The car you see here is gorgeous inside and out. This stunning gold car appears to have recently had a high quality paint job and is in excellent condition with a bright luster and only extremely subtle, minor imperfections. The chrome bumpers appear to have been re-chromed and have only minor imperfections. Overall, this is an absolutely breathtaking fastback!Inside the Mustang, you\'ll see that the interior is in fantastic shape! The two tone, tan and black vinyl Pony interior bucket seats are in beautiful shape with no notable imperfections, as is the backseat. The carpet is in great shape and shows no signs of imperfection. The dash appears to be the original 1965 dashboard and is in good condition as well, showing no cracks or fading. This particular fastback also has an AM/FM radio installed in the dash. It\'s not every day one can find a Mustang that is as sharp and clean as this one!Under the hood, this Mustang has the 289 cubic inch, two valve V8. Pushing the ponies to the pavement is an automatic transmission. The wheels appear to be the original 14\" steel wheels with Mustang \"knock offs\" and are wrapped in P205/70R14 white stripe tires. The VIN number is 5F09C397196 and the mileage currently shows 18,894. It is being sold on a clean and clear, mileage exempt Illinois title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>
