Take a look at that angular body. These are the iconic lines of the last of the great cruising Cadillacs. After 1985, the Eldorado coupes shrank to nearly compact car proportions and lost many of Cadillac's distinguished features. So this one is the youngest year you can pick up the last of the genuine Eldorados. These coupes have just the right amount of chrome that cascades down the waterfall grille, and then naturally flows to the front bumpers, spreads to the lower valances and pools on the rear bumper. The perfect compliment to this is the shine of the blue metallic paint with full pin-striping. This one also still has all its great original Cadillac styling cues from the clear lenses in front, to the wire wheels with Caddy's crest logo. The interior demonstrates what personal luxury is all about. The plush blue leather seating is intact and rivals the best living rooms for comfort. Everybody has their own individual space separated by an armrest, and the front wheel drive layout means a flat floor, where each person has limo-worthy legroom. Everything you'd expect from Cadillac's flagship model comes in this coupe, including the automatic climate control with its air conditioning still blowing cold, power windows, power locks, power seats, cruise control, tilt wheel, and a trip computer. Even the original AM/FM/cassette premium sound system is intact. There are so many adapters out there for modern music players that we think it would be a shame to spoil this unique atmosphere by replacing this very original radio. The driver gets a nifty digital dash readout. There's even a driver information center, which was quite cutting edge because the computer was constantly in contact with Cadillac's "High Technology" engine. Cadillac's 4.1-liter V8 was cutting edge for its time. It utilized lightweight aluminum construction and fuel injection to give it the kind of brisk acceleration that keeps this coupe worthy of its Eldorado heritage. These cars are designed for all-day comfort even on the highway, and so the motor is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The feeling on the road is that incomparable Cadillac cloud, thanks to an all-independent suspension with air shocks out back. Four-wheel disc brakes were also standard equipment on the Eldorado, so it has better capabilities than you'd expect in a coupe with such a cushy ride. These Eldorados are becoming sought-after as they cross the threshold into true classic car territory. This one has big V8 power, a stellar interior, and averaged only about 2,500 miles per year during its lifetime. It's the ultimate affordable collector's Caddy. The 1976 Cadillac Eldorado was the end of a legend, and this one has been taken care of like a shrine to the big classic American drop top. 1976 shut the door on the traditional American convertible that was big, roomy, and floated over the road in complete comfort. That legacy is why a Caddy like this, that's approaching its 40th birthday, is still in such superior condition. The lower fenders on these classics are notorious for falling victim to unseen curbs, but this one still has all the straight lines and firm creases that it was given at the Detroit factory. Take a look at the plastic panels that fill the area between the metal body and the front and rear marker lights. These wouldn't have survived nearly four decades without a loving caretaker. But the best part has to be the color. Most of the '76 convertibles were the white on white special edition, which are great cars, but we already see plenty of them. The sparkling blue paint, and tan cloth top, offer a distinctive look that grabs attention at car shows, and also looks contemporary enough to fit in during a night on the town. Just like the tan folding roof, the leather seats have a cool modern khaki look. The extra wide benches have seatbelts for six people, but not even the driver's seat shows any real wear. The interior has the kind of luxury that made these Cadillacs so special when new, and exceptionally desirable today. These are the features that you would even want on a brand new car, such as power windows, power locks, power seats, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, power convertible top, and air conditioning. The three-spoke wheel still feels soft to the touch, and all of the controls have a cool classic look and feel, but best of all, every feature functions perfectly. A Cadillac is a cool cruiser, and there's a lot going on beneath the metal. Just as this was promoted as the last American convertible, 1976 was the last year for the monstrous 500 cubic-inch V8 motor. Emissions regulations of that era had taken out some of the horsepower, but this Caddy has no trouble moving because it still makes about as much torque as a modern V8 Chevy truck! The cruising attitude is heightened by a smooth-shifting three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes with discs at all four corners the first and only year for this feature on Eldorado convertibles. The suspension in this car must be experienced. You would think Cadillacs from this era are referred to as boats because of their size, but after you drive it, you'll swear it's because how it floats down the road. This legend is big on space, big on torque, and big on luxury. The only thing small about this Caddy is the price. General Motors was the final holdout of The Big Three to offer a full-size convertible, and the 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado was its Alamo. These were promoted as the "Last of the Convertibles". While it would take it to the next decade for all three Detroit automakers to get back into ragtops, GM was not a really misleading with this Eldorado. Cars like this ended the era of the traditional American convertible that was big, roomy, and floated over the road with complete comfort. That legacy is why this Eldorado was kept in such pristine condition to this day. The body is as straight as the day it left Detroit. The great color bronze paint with original black hubcaps is as cool to collectors today because it has that popular retro feel. While all of these elements show this car has been well maintained, Cadillacs of this era have telltale signs of true care. Take a look at the plastic panels that fill the area between the metal body and the front and rear marker lights. These wouldn't have survived nearly four decades without a loving caretaker. And the owner really cared for this beauty, take a look at the included folder that comes with original window sticker, warranty card, bill of sale, dealer invoice, owner's manual, and full maintenance records. Inside is the kind of luxury that made these Cadillacs so special when new, and exceptionally desirable today. You will find the kind of options that you would expect in a brand new car, such as power windows, power locks, power seats, cruise control, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and air conditioning. All of these controls have a cool classic look and feel, but best of all, amazingly every feature functions perfectly. The stereo is even an AM/FM cassette model. There are so many adapters out there for modern music players that we think it would be a shame to spoil this unique atmosphere by replacing this very original radio. The white leather seats show very little wear, and are so pure that you will for sure ban fast food trips in this Caddy. The power folding top matches this upholstery, and is as well, just as immaculate. A Cadillac is a cool cruiser, and there's a lot of good going on beneath the metal. Just as this was promoted as the last American convertible, 1976 was the last year for the monstrous 500 cubic-inch V8 motor. Because this convertible has been about authenticity so much already, it should be no surprise that this is a numbers matching car. Emission regulations of that era had started to take out some of the horsepower, but this Caddy has no trouble moving because it still makes about as much torque as a modern V8 Chevy truck! The cruising attitude is heightened by a smooth-shifting three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes with discs at all four corners. There will never be another drop top cruiser that seats six people comfortably in such a luxuriously cool way. It's your rare opportunity to grab a pristine legend that is as nice as we have seen in our showroom. The upper motor need to be assembled!!!!! The motor is in good condition but I really need the money at the moment for school purposes. I have owned this car for 2 years now and its a great car when everything is assembled.. I just recently got the heads refinished and was in the process of restoring the engine but fell short of funds, my lost you "gain". All new parts are included starting with the ignition switch, starter, fuel pump, fuel filter , Water pump, battery, left break pads and caliper, carburetor, hood hinges, and full tune up.. It need a push rod on left side. I noticed one was missing once my mechanic unassembled the engine. I might add the windshield is cracked and that's due to the old hood hinges, reason they were replaced. A paint job and a little restoration this can be a great. This is the only silver and black 77 Eldorado you will ever see! Cadillac came out with 2Tone paint options in 78 and this one was custom painted.. In my opinion, this would be one beautiful Elderado when restored. There are no dents and the body has no rust... A mechanic can really enjoy this toy!... Its my lost and your gain!!!!! If I had the time and funds to put it back together I would keep this car. I just want someone to purchase and restore it original... ALL THE PARTS ARE UNDER THE MOTOR INCLUDING THE ELDERBROCK CARBUERATOR WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVEN BUT ONCE WHEN IT LEFT THE SHOP Type in Silver and Black Elderado in the Search Engine of YOUTUBE and the car video will come up. This video was uploaded in October 2013. I really didn't drive the car but on Saturday and Sunday evenings.

[email protected] 5527 Lakeview Road, Charlotte, NC, 28269, US 1954 Cadillac Eldorado National Award Winning Eldorado Convertible 331/230 HP V8 4 Speed Auto PS PW PB Year: 1954 Type of vehicle title: Clear Primary color: White Mileage: 84580 Transmission type: 4 Speed Automatic Engine: 331 V8 Interior color: Red Vehicle info El Dorado, the mythical city of gold, lent its name to perhaps the most luxurious, beautiful, and expensive of all Cadillacs. Changed from two words to one by GM marketers, the Eldorado convertible was a cost-no-object for celebrities and wealthy businessmen who wanted the very best of everything. Proof was the $7,000+ price tag that the Cadillac Eldorado wore... in 1954. Meant only for the elite, only 2150 were produced in '54. Understand that in the 50s, when Cadillac was still the undisputed Standard of The World, owning one meant that you were positively at the top of your game. I suppose that sentiment still holds true because this stunning Series 62 Eldorado is for the well-versed connoisseur who enjoys quality, value, and prestige above all. As an official member of the rare 2,150 cars assembled during the second year of Cadillac's most storied nameplate, this pristine drop-top is an investment grade example of one of the rarest and most desirable collector cars ever produced. If you fancy the ultimate classic to park at shows and parade down Main Street, this professionally restored masterpiece will bring your dreams to life! With production of Cadillac's '54 Eldorado numbering just into the thousands, this stylish cruiser is a factory-accurate rarity. Before we get to far though, In the name of authenticity, we'll go ahead and break down both its vehicle identification and cowl tag numbers. VIN: 5462*****54 - 1954 model year62 - Series 62* - Sequential production number COWL TAG:STYLE NUMBER: 54-6267SX - 1954 model (54) Series 62 (62) Convertible (67) Eldorado (SX)BODY NUMBER: FW73 73rd Eldorado body assembled at GM's Clark Street (FW) manufacturing facility in Detroit, MichiganTRIM NUMBER: 38Y - Red and white (38) leather (Y) interiorPAINT NUMBER: 18C- Alpine White (18) exterior paintACC: E-H-R EZ Eye tinted glass (E), Heater (H), Unknown option We all know trim is what makes 50s Cadillacs so cool, and WOW is there a lot of chrome on this Eldo. Put it this way: if you want to look at this vintage drop-top under the lights, be sure to close the shades because the reflection from your garage will probably wake the neighbors! At the front of the car, T3 headlights and chrome-trimmed parking lamps visually dissect a cellular chrome grille that's positioned low enough to emphasize a road-hugging stance. Below that grille, a wraparound gull-wing bumper features prominent chrome guards. And above that grille, a brilliant hood goddess overlooks a fresh Cadillac crest and slim-line "V" emblem that inspired Cadillac's current performance moniker. At the top of the car, a stainless-trimmed cowl intake panel rides between Cadet Visor headlight bezels, a low-profile hood, and bright stainless wipers that clear a stainless trimmed EZ-eye windshield. At the sides of that windshield, Eldorado-exclusive emblems ride between new-for-'54 vent wings, traditional chrome door handles and a power-operated top. And below that windshield, Eldorado-exclusive emblems are perfectly aligned between stainless trim spears, air-slot fender breaks and fluted rocker trim. At the back of the car, a rolled trunk hangs a block-lettered "Eldorado" script above a second gold V and new-for-'54 bumper guards. At the sides of that trunk, squared off fins feature modern-looking tail lights. And below that trunk, a second wraparound bumper features cleanly integrated exhaust tips. Powering this spectacular cruiser is an original 331 cubic inch overhead valve V8 that wears a correct VIN stamp, creates a stout 230 horsepower and cranks out a stellar 330 ft./lb. of torque. That's plenty of chutzpah to move this Eldorado down the boulevard with authority, and the big mill is buttery smooth with a distinctive rumble. At the top of the navy blue block, a familiar Cadillac air cleaner swirls wind though a big 4-barrel carburetor. In front of that carburetor, a tagged and rebuilt generator spins fresh V-belts around pliable hoses and correct squeeze clamps. And behind that carburetor, a correct points distributor shoots spark through correct manifolds via high quality Packard Suppression wires. Nothing has been overlooked in this top notch engine bay, and the professionally finished powerplant is complemented by a full assortment of well-planned and well-executed details. Fire is provided by a reproduction Delco yellow cap battery. A glass washer reservoir hangs behind brains for the car's Autronic Eye system. Adding to the appeal and uniqueness of this ride is the warranty card centered on the radiator cradle. And the car's solid inner fenders, fully finished hood and factory firewall are covered in a smooth coat of correct Alpine White paint. Throw this Caddy on a lift and you'll find a super clean undercarriage that's no less spectacular. The car's beefy X-frame , displays a nice coat of gloss black paint. The blue V8 throws torque through an original Hydra-Matic transmission that wears a correct 1954 (54) Cadillac (D ) build stamp. Ahead of that stellar drivetrain you'll find an independent front half that's been painstakingly restored to factory specifications. Behind that stellar drivetrain you'll find a rebuilt rear end that's centered on leaf springs. Braking is handled by four big drums that bring the car to a power-assisted stop with surprisingly little effort. Factory power steering reinforces turns and greatly improves slow speed navigation. And a fresh flex-pipe exhaust system sounds muscular yet luxurious. Above those fully sorted mechanicals, solid, over-restored floors are painted a nice shade of burgundy and provide an excellent backdrop for fresh stainless hardware and new stainless brake and fuel lines. At the corners of those floors, four substantial wire wheels spin meaty white wall rubber around classy Cadillac crests. And all the small details like leak-free shocks, a big stainless fuel tank and a correct starter have been painstakingly located and professionally installed. Loaded with virtually every option in the book, this classic Eldorado's correct red and white interior features a perfect mix of outrageous style and traditional American luxury. The front power and rear bench seats are stuffed with fresh padding, covered in correct Cadillac-embossed leather, and trimmed in pristine stainless brightwork. In front of those seats, a darker red leather-topped dash hangs a contoured instrument panel and a rebuilt electric clock between GM's advanced Autronic Eye system and multiple chrome accessory knobs that, among other things, operate the car's optional heater. At the base of those seats, like-new carpet is anchored by slick sill plates, protected by stainless-trimmed floor pads and flanked by intricately detailed kick panels. At the sides of those seats, red and white door panels hang new chrome handles and chrome power window switches between bright white toppers and sculpted armrests. In front of the driver, a two-tone steering wheel spins a chrome horn ring around a chrome steering column, and chrome gear selector. Behind the passengers a fiberglass parade boot rides over a fully restored trunk. GM designers definitely knew what they were doing in 1954. And all of this car's unique details were restored, right down to the cool Eldorado crests at the base of its seats. The sale of this stylish Caddy includes a vintage luggage trunk, a correct tag bracket and a small stack of historical documentation. It has also claimed it's fair share of awards. In 2008 it picked up the AACA 1st Junior award, and the Cadillac & LaSalle Club Senior award. Both awards are affixed to the car, the AACA on the grille, and C&S award on the back of the rear view mirror. Even today, there is no car that says "you've made it" better than a Cadillac Eldorado. In 1954, this world class convertible was well on its way to being one of the most prestigious automobiles money could buy. Today, its near universal appeal speaks of the fabulous wealth and high style that characterized the golden age of Detroit. With production numbering only 2,150 units, this pristine Caddy is a very rare piece. And with strong international demand, old school American iron is one of the hottest segments in the global collector car market. That means pedigreed restorations are only going to increase in both value and exclusivity. So don't miss your chance to own this spectacularly beautiful classic! I have had this car for 2 years now and it is a great car.. I just recently got the heads refinished and was in the process of adding on more parts.. The car has several new parts starting with the ignition switch, starter, fuel pump, fuel filter , Water pump, battery left break pads and caliper, carburetor, hood hinges, and full tune up.. I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING SOME NEW PUSH RODS AND LEFT MANIFOLD WHICH IS CRACKED.. THE MOTOR IS STILL GOOD BUT THE CAR JUST NEED A PUSH ROD AND ROCK ARM ON THE LEFT SIDE... I might add the windshield is cracked and that's due to the fact that the mechanics who installed the hinges on the hood almost fell on top of him... THIS WOULD BE AN EASY RESTORATION AND AWESOME CAR AT THE END... A paint job! and a little restoration this can be a great car for someone to invest for re-sale.
