For sale I have my personal 2006 BMW E60 M5. The vehicle is equipt with the naturally aspirated, collectible 5.0 liter v10 which produces 500 horsepower, matched with the smg transmission which was made specifically for this vehicle! The vehicle starts/runs/drives flawless with absolutely zero issues whatsoever. If a buy it now is selected, a 12 month powertrain warranty will be provided which is good at any registered repair facility including BMW dealerships. I own a car dealership and purchased this vehicle for myself personally a year ago in Florida which is where the vehicle has been most of its life. I purchased the vehicle because it was a certified pre owned car which was pampered and maintained its entire life. I personally have owned two e63 m6's, and four e60 m5's and believe in my opinion that there is no better all around sports car for the money. The e60 provides space for the family, luxury for the business man, incredible power and speed for the enthusiast and is the most reliable choice for vehicles within similar performance class. The rod bearings were replaced on the vehicle at 92k miles which is a very common issue for these cars. This is normally a $3,000 routine maintenance job. The vehicle has two brand new rear tires that have less then 30 miles on them. The front tires are in great shape. The brake pads have been replaced within the last 500 miles with Hawk performance pads. The oil was recently changed with liquimolly 10w60. All normal routine maintenance was performed by my good friend at European auto in Schenectady Ny. He works on all german vehicles, but like myself, has a passion for BMW's. The vehicle also has had a muffler delete which makes the car sound absolutely amazing and I will never drive another m5 without it! (I do still have the stock mufflers) The vehicle has a clean carfax and autocheck history with zero accidents. The interior and exterior of the vehicle are in amazing shape for the year and mileage of the car. The exterior is near perfect with just a tiny chip in the removable rear spoiler as seen in the video. Two of the wheels have some minor curb rash which I can repair before the sale at $75 per wheel. The interior is in great shape with no holes, rips or tears, just minor and normal wear as shown in photos. I can be reached personally at 518-242-6085 I am selling the car for what I believe is a steal of a deal, but there is always someone out there that is cheaper. When purchasing a high performance exotic vehicle such as this I urge you to seek a quality, maintained machine such as this one rather then the cheapest one on the internet. Royal Red 2000 BMW e39 M5.Only 87 e39 M5s were finished in Royal Red. This one is even more special being that it is fitted with Complete (stitched doors and dash, alcantara pillars, package tray and headliner) Caramel leather and the large screen Navigation system. This is a higher mileage m5, but just as strong as the day it was new. These cars are meant to be driven... and this car is proof that they are even better for it. It is not perfect, but is extremely striking and an absolute joy to drive. I would get in this car and drive it anywhere. It's that solid. If you haven't seen Royal Red in person, its staggering. The color can change depending on lighting conditions. You can see in the pictures... some of them it actually looks like a different color. This car carries a clean South Dakota title. No check engine light, but as of this moment it will not pass California emissions because of the common SAI carbon build up issue. I have built an SAI simulator to stop the light but the monitor is not complete. I have a coding cable and have been planing on coding it out.... but haven't gotten around to it since the sim deleted the light and there is no functional or performance drawback. If you can do coding, or do not live in California this is not a problem at all.. and most likely I will have coded it out myself by the end of the auction. Paint is great... but not perfect. There was some fading on the rear bumper where the coloring is a bit off, and there are rock chips on the hood/fenders from normal driving. The worst part of the body/paint is the passenger side front door has a dent. Its about the size of a dime, and can be seen in the pictures. Interior is good but there is wear and cracking of the front seat leather. There is some wear in the back, but I think that even a good conditioning treatment can have the back looking new again. Motor, trans, etc is fantastic. It does burn some oil like most s62s... about a quart per oil change. Adjustable shocks is the only Non OEM modification to this car apart from the SAI SIM. The style 65s are painted gold (not my first choice, but I got them that way and it actually looks pretty dang good) and wrapped in brand new Hankook Ventus tires. New brakes and plugs. Recent oil, coolant, ps, brake and clutch fluid replacement... as well as less than 10k on a new clutch/fw.I welcome anyone to come look at the car.... bring experts, mechanics etc... but I WILL NOT let anyone drive it until I am convinced you aren't wasting my time. 2008 e60 M5. General info below:-Exterior: 9.5/10 -Interior: 10/10-75,xxx miles-5.0L V10 engine-7 speed SMG III transmission-Registration valid until January 2018 I originally purchased the M5 knowing that the engine wasn't in the best of shape (ran rough, knocking, etc), so I took it to Castro Motorsport, a reputable shop with a long track record (North Hollywood, CA). The issue was initially identified as being VANOS-related, so we went ahead and replaced all four VANOS solenoids. Unfortunately, this didn't fix everything, and we soon found out that bad rod bearings had taken a devastating toll on the engine (as I had initially suspected). With few options remaining, I decided to go through with a complete engine rebuild. In addition to machining both cylinder heads, the following parts were replaced (brand new OEM): -Crankshaft-Camshafts (on national back-order, imported from BMW Germany)-Pistons & O-Rings-Valves & Lifters-Rod bearings-VANOS assembly-VANOS oil pump-VANOS gearbox-VANOS solenoids-Coil packs-Spark plugs-Water pump-Engine mounts-All belts, pulleys, filters, etc-All cooling hoses, fluids, etcWe also inspected the entire drive train while it was out. We refilled all fluids and replaced anything else that looked sub-par, such as the clutch pressure plate, etc. Upon physical completion of the rebuild, the car was taken to Gintani (Van Nuys, California) for tuning and final touches (currently in the process of scheduling a dyno session). One more trip to Castro for some custom exhaust work, and the M5 was finally ready to go. I was given specific break-in instructions, which I have just recently finished by reaching 2,000 miles on the new engine. Though it pains me to do so, I'm selling the car because I need to free up some additional funds for a business project. The rebuild comes with a 1 year/12k mile warranty from Castro Motorsport. Additionally, all of the above-mentioned parts come with a 3-year warranty from Beverly Hills BMW. I have receipts for all parts and labor; these will be given to the new owner.Now, for the bad part. Since the engine was giving the previous owner so many problems, he ended up lemon-ing it. The M5 now holds a salvage title. Though I am aware of the fact that this hurts the car's value, I'm hoping that potential buyers find solace in knowing that this car is in great condition. Up for sale is my 2006 M5 which I custom ordered and purchased new in January 2006. The car has had no modifications except for deleting the charcoal filters in the air-boxes. There have been no accidents or paintwork at all. There have been no significant mechanical or electrical issues over the last ten years except for the normal z-pulse steering sensor, a steering lock actuator, a thermostat, a water temp sensor and a voltage regulator. All maintenance was professionally performed at the dealer (through 2010) and at an independent BMW shop (2010-current). It has had a clear bra installed since day one although I recently removed the hood section to redo it but have not reinstalled it. The car has spent very little time parked in the sun; it was either covered or parked under a carport while at work. Since it is a North Carolina car, it has never had a front license plate.
