I've owned this car for seven years. I The car is garaged and has never been driven in the winter. I'm selling the car because I have four cars at the moment and I have recently purchased a different "fun car". I don't anticipate driving the M3 much anymore, so unfortunately, it makes sense to sell it. The car has been maintained by the pros at Munich Motorsports in Windsor, who specialize in M3s. They are the best in the business.I have spent a lot of money properly maintaining the car. It needs nothing. I guarantee it drives better than any other E46 on the market with more than 50,000 miles.The car includes a custom tablet-based (Nexus 7) infotainment/navigation system. It's nicely installed in the dash. Looks and runs great. I even have it connected to the steering wheel controls. I also havre the original head unit and can re-install that if you aren't interested in the tablet.Recent maintenance history: 2016 NEW SMG PUMP. The original finally needed replacement. This car is in essentially new condition as I have taken great care of it from the very beginning. Its been driven only by its original owner and has averaged less than 4000 miles per year in a smoke-free environment. I bought the new car in Dayton, Ohio and added a hard top roof in 2013(in Ridgefield, CT) to experience the alternate from the soft top convertible. The car comes with a SMG feature which means it can be driven either in automatic or in a clutch-less manual mode; in the latter, it drives like a true manual gear shift car and of course it comes with steering wheel paddles to change gears. I expect the buyer to make full payment before picking up the vehicle in person. If shipment is required, buyer will take full responsibility to make all the necessary arrangments.

It is difficult for me to let this car go, as I have fallen in love with the E36 platform over my past 3 years of ownership. After purchasing this car in July 2012, I drove it down to Miami, where it was kept until I moved back to Connecticut this past August. The car was able to make three separate 1,350 miles trips between CT and Miami with absolutely no problems whatsoever. During one of the trips, I even drove straight down without stopping (besides for food, gas, etc.) for 20+ hours, and the car did not overheat or experience any issues. The cooling system is fantastic! This M3 had an intermittent starting problem when I first purchased it. After about a year, it would not start at all. I replaced the starter, but the issue soon returned. I suspect it has something to do with the aftermarket alarm system, which I could never figure out how to use. The problem was solved by installing a “push start” button that wires power directly to the starter motor, and now it starts every time with no problem. The car WILL NOT start unless the key is in the ignition, so this DOES NOT make the car any more susceptible to theft. The oil was changed approximately every 5k miles with Castrol synthetic oil. I have all of the service records and receipts from my period of ownership. I am the 5th owner, which is not bad for an 18 year old vehicle. I have done a lot of fixing up, but the car could still use some TLC. I have eBay links to various affordable parts that I could provide to the buyer in case he would like to fix up all of the remaining issues (such as replacing the dented passenger fender, missing glovebox trim, etc.). There is currently no check engine light, and everything is functioning properly. This is by no means a show car, but it is still a quick and powerful M3 for someone who isn’t too picky! This causes the pedal to pop out of position under heavy acceleration, causing the revs to get stuck momentarily. You will need a new gas pedal (~$20 on eBay), and some metal work to cut out the rust and fabricate a new bracket. - Leaks oil / power steering fluid(?): Not exactly sure where the leak is coming from, and can’t tell if it is oil or power steering fluid. - Rear wheels rub / blown struts(?): Under heavy acceleration and cornering, the rear tires rub against the inside of the fenders. I thought this was because the DDM Tuning springs were too low, so I replaced them with Intrax springs, which aren’t quite as low. However, that did not fix the problem, so I assume the rear struts are blown. Or maybe the car just needs an alignment? - One stripped thread in passenger rear wheel hub; missing one lug bolt. - Rear tires are cording along the inner edge from camber wear and need to be replaced. - Dents on passenger front fender due to vandalism. - Small 1cm hole in trunk lid. Currently sealed with a rubber gasket to keep water out. - Window seals and trunk seal are chewed up but still function properly and keep water out. - Driver’s seat back is stuck and will not recline or lift forward. The motor still works fine, but it needs a new gear (~$15 on eBay). - Oxidation forming on hood, roof, and trunk lid, but this could likely be buffed out. - “Check coolant level” warning (needs new sensor). - Driver’s brake light bulb burnt out. - License plate bulbs burnt out. - Needs misc. small interior pieces. - Normal wear and tear on interior pieces and some scratches / chips / dents on exterior. *DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE* - $400 OFF asking price (new total = $6,850): I have a set of regular non-M 3-Series front and back black seats that I could swap into the car instead of the current ///M seats. - $150 OFF asking price (new total = $7,100): I could remove the 12” subwoofers and enclosure, as well as the 1200W amp and custom amp mount. This is an m3 coupe roller. The chassis is an 04 M3 Coupe. The body is in great condition, and STRAIGHT. The secondary air pump caught fire and burned up some parts under the hood. Aside from the light fire damage, there is no damage to the car. Complete with most external panels, doors, etc. Interior is fairly complete, aside from seats and some misc stuff. This chassis would make a good an excellent project to for a motor swap. It would also be a great chassis to start with for a swap from a car with significant damage. The roller does have an NY Salvage title. The roller is exactly as pictured, and will be sold as pictured. I do not want to sell any pieces from the car, or sell the roller any more stripped. The car is worth 2-3X my asking price in parts alone
