The car offers the best of both worlds, the later, more refined, 1976 body, paired with a 1974 Tii, 2.0 fuel injected motor. The Fjord blue paint is excellent, with a deep luster, and few blemishes. The shock towers, both front and rear are solid and free of rust. The interior blue leather front seats have been restored, and the rear seats are original and likewise in excellent condition. The dash is in good condition with no rips, tears or stretching. We just installed a new heater core, and a new Clarion radio. She was recently tuned, runs well, and doesn’t leak or smoke. The 4 speed transmission shifts well, and the clutch works as it should. The tires have less then 3000 miles on them. The car has A/C, it is currently inoperable, but could be fixed. The brakes are new, as is the battery. She breathes through a new Stainless Steel exhaust system. She just got new BRAKES, including calipers and rotors as well as a fluid change, a new thermostat and belts. She wears the correct Tii dash clock and badging below the decklid. Overall this 2002 would allow its new owner to get in and go. She is an excellent "driver quality" car, with great bones. Non of the common problem areas on these cars exist on this example. This stunning example is executed to near perfection and would be welcomed in any high quality collection or modern BMW showroom. While documentation on this car is scarce, a walk around will demonstrate the high level of thought, knowledge and artistry that were present on the execution of this iconic Tii. All metal appears to be original including floors and rockers. The paint is the original color of Verona Red and has been applied to show standards. All bright work on the car is excellent with small amounts of hazing on the rear bumper guards. All seals and glass are as new. The suspension has been upgraded with Suspension Techniques components including shortened springs and larger sway bars with Bilstein shocks. The ride is supple yet firm which gives the car an instantaneous feel while driving. There is a close ratio steering box which adds to the exacting driving experience. Upgraded 5 speed Getrag transmission with limited slip differential provides spirited acceleration and the ability to cruise at highway speeds effortlessly. Stahl headers, upgraded aluminum radiator all add to the free revving engine and the stainless exhaust provides a note unique to the Tii. The interior is exceptional with no cracks in the dash, replaced headliner, period correct Sheel adjustable seats, modern stereo system integrated into the console and a working clock.
