Here is a chance to build a BMW 850 the way you would like it. We have owned this car for about 10 years and we were devastated when the engine clattered to a stop. It was always an incredible driving experience. Even though this is a 25 year old design it is still a head turner. Just read the comments from other sellers. Rather than fix the engine I wanted to fit the later 5.4 liter engine. I had read it was a much improved design. Now my plans have changed and the car is for sale. You will see many 5.0 and 5.4 engines for sale here on ebay and not expensive for an exotic V12. Alternatively almost any engine could be fitted. This car would be a perfect candidate for a big horsepower engine as it car has the suspension, brakes and aerodynamics to handle any power. It could be truly unique and not just another cookie-cutter hot rod. Body is straight but the clear coat is failing on the original paint. This color was the classy choice 20+ years ago but I think would look killer with a modern touch. Again it's your choice to make it just as you would want it. Interior is still looking good, a really comfortable 4 seater GT. No problems with the electrics as some of these cars had although some of the pixels are bad on the display. RARE 6 Speed manual 850i (only 847 Manual transmission cars were imported into North America 1991-1997) with true "Collector Potential" in the near future as these cars are becoming more and more difficult to find in great condition. No rust and No previous body/chassis damage. Paint has depth and lustre. Interior and Exterior in overall excellent condition. Well maintained by previous owners. I recently replaced the front bushings, Master and Slave Cylinders, and new Clutch. Car looks and drives amazing and turns heads wherever she goes! No fluid leaks . Thank you for your interest. I am selling my 1991 BMW 850i (E31) with 90,410 miles on the odometer (mileage might be slightly higher at time of sale). This car is in excellent condition for a 24 year old vehicle and has been very well taken care of. The body is very clean and free of rust and dents and has a shiny burgundy color (with only a few blemishes in the paint). This BMW has never seen snow as it was a Florida car that I bought a little over three years ago and which I picked up in person and drove back to Pennsylvania without any problems. It has been stored during the winter months and was never driven in snow. The V12 engine is very strong and runs smoothly with no engine oil consumption at all. The automatic transmission shifts well from one gear to the next without any jerks. Suspension and brakes are in excellent condition as well. The interior is light brown and very clean with a new headliner and new A, B, and C pillar coverings. The rear seats look as if no one ever sat in them (and how could one with so little space?), the passenger seat is very good, and the driver’s seat has a few minor blemishes (see pictures). Everything works just the way it should. I purchased this vehicle in November of 2011 with 88,365 miles on the odometer, and to this day I have only put a little over 2,000 miles more on it. It was supposed to be my sunny weekend driver, but I just haven’t had the opportunity to use it much. It is now time to part ways. Questions are, of course, always welcome, and should you require more photos, please let me know. Personal inspections and test drives are encouraged, provided you are seriously interested in purchasing my BMW. There is no warranty of any kind! The car’s title is in my possession and will be transferred to the new owner at the time of full payment.
