Up for sale is my 1985 BMW 635csi. I have enjoyed her for nearly 3 years and it is time to move on. The car is very original and unmolested. It has the most desirable combination of black leather sports seats and a 5 speed manual stick shift. It is pretty well sorted with and drives extremely well. It starts easily and settles into a nice idle. No smoke, noises or leaks. Plenty of silky smooth BMW inline 6 power and the steering, brakes and gearbox operate correctly. It has a recent R134 air conditioning conversion. A recent clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder as well. The body is almost entirely rust free and has a fair amount of original paint. There is a small speck on the roof where a previous sunroof deflector had been. The paint is very good driver's quality. Should be left as is unless you want a show piece. Drive this car guilt free! Everything works inside. A/C, lights, windows, radio, etc. The seats look good. The seats side plastic could use a little attention. Previous owner installed lowering springs and sport struts and shocks. The ride height is perfect. Slightly lower than stock and no rubbing or bottoming out. For sale is a very nice '85 BMW 635. The car is from Florida and the DC area and I have owned it for 8 years and have put about 20000 miles on it. It has been used mostly for 2-4 hour interstate trips. It runs nicely and looks great. It starts easily in all weather, doesn't smoke, doesn't over heat and has plenty of power. It has never been hit and all the gaps on the doors, hood and trunk are good. There is no rust in the car. It has a fairly new paint job that looks nice.It has been well maintained through my ownership and has caused no problems. Last month I did have to replace the exhaust system.The camshaft and rockers were replaced 15000 miles ago. The instrument cluster was replaced soon after I purchased the car with a good used one which shows higher mileage but I do have certification on the correct mileage. The automatic transmission shifts easily with no problems. The tires have 3/4 of their tread left. All electrical items(except the electric antenna) work as they should including the sun roof. The interior is in good condition although the dash does have some cracks. The drivers seat has a non-original seat cover and the passenger seat has a tiny(1-2 cm) hole in the seat area. The trunk area is in good condition and the original tool kit is still in place. This is a great running classic BMW 635 which will not disappoint the new owner.
