I've had this car for five years now. It was with me through my last university year and my first job after I graduated. It always received maintenance on time at a specialty shop in Houston. The only reason I am selling my Jetta is because I am moving aboard, otherwise I would keep it. It has normal wear and tear on the body. I've photographed what needed to be pointed out. On the left front fender there are scratches that happened a year ago when I got a flat tire. The tire scratch the fender as I was pulling over. I never bothered to get the scratches buffed out. The windshield has a little pebble size crack that happened a few years ago. I called around to get it fixed and I was quoted $150 I just never got around to it. The car has 150k miles on it. They are mostly highway miles, my work required that I drive from Houston to San Antonio, a lot. The vehicle is in good shape and as I mentioned before, I would keep it if I wasn't moving abroad.

1-Owner Jetta 2.5… My friend called me a month ago and asked if I’d be interested in selling his car for him before he shipped overseas to take a job with the government and I volunteered, so up for sale is his 2008 Jetta S 2.5 with a 5-speed manual transmission that he bought new from the Flemington VW dealer. The car is exceptionally nice with dealer service records since new, all service performed at correct mileage intervals and is just out of my brother-in-law’s shop with new back brakes and upgraded wheels and tires. I flipped the title into my name and have been driving the car for over a month on a daily basis and it’s as mechanically perfect as I can describe. The mechanicals are all excellent with a quick and quiet 2.5L motor. The 5-speed manual transmission feels excellent with a strong clutch and nice tight gearbox with no play, no pops, and no grinds. The brakes feel excellent with new rotors and pads as I mentioned. The suspension rides tight and the car tracks straight as an arrow. It is sitting on a set of factory 17” GTI wheels with very nice matching Falken tires all around, better than 75% tread life. If interested, I have the 16" steel wheels with a nice set of Goodyear tires that you can swap out for winter wheels. The only warning light illuminated is for tire pressure and it is probably just a sensor as they hold air fine. The car passed a pre-sale inspection at a local shop before he handed it over to me and it went through with flying colors. I have taken the car to upstate New York and it has been used locally as my daily driver and it’s a true pleasure to drive. The car doesn’t leak or burn any fluids. The inside is like-new without exception. The cloth heated seats are immaculate, carpets are spotless, headliner perfect and no surfaces show any wear and tear or major marks. All the power options work correctly including the A/C, heat, cruise control, windows and locks. The car has never been smoked in. The body of the car is a very nice. The black paint shines nicely with no fading or peeling of the clear coat. There are no dents. The only cosmetic flaws are one scuff on the driver rear bumper that scratched the paint, normal stone chips on the noise, and a couple small dings and scratches but certainly an above average and beautifully kept car head-to-toe. A few small rust bubbles have formed on the edge of the front of the hood. The wheels provide a nice special appearance. I have a complete CarFax for it. It shows it as a two-owner car because my friend had his parents co-sign when purchased it new. Every service receipt from the VW dealer shows his name since new and it is a one-owner car. When he moved to Washington D.C. for work, he re-registered the car in his own name. The car is being driven daily until a final sale. It is being sold with a clear Pennsylvania title in my name. It can be seen in the New Hope, Pa. and Lambertville, NJ area. You’ll simply love the car! I'm listing this vehicle for my daughter who is an extremely conscientious driver and meticulous about keeping her car clean and serviced. She's never had a traffic violation, nor an accident. The car has no body work done on it. As stated earlier she was a teacher and had a fairly long commute for past 5 years. Her new job requires more space and more travel in all weather thus an SUV will be more able to handle rough weather and give her the space needed. This will be a fantastic car for anyone looking for a beautiful, reliable, economical, car that has a very peppy engine and fun to drive. The 5 cylinder has great low torque yet very economical. Makes for a safer feeling when you have to get on a freeway or get out of someone's way. There's no skeletons hanging in this closet.
