This was a daily driver until hit by a deer. It runs good but the AC line is broken where it connects to the compressor. As you can see from the pictures the front end, front fenders and windshield have damage. Odometer only works for the short trip counter. The main counter has broken teeth in the mechanism so does not turn over.Mileage is over 150,000. Not sure how much. Other areas have normal wear and tear issues. It can be driven to where ever it needs to go given that it only has one headlight. The drivers side of the front end is push back a couple of inches but nothing is hitting the fan. Three tires have about 3/32's(thin) of depth and one is around 7/32's (good). I replaced one engine mount and have another in the box. The water pump was replaced three years ago. As well as the alternator and starter. It does have a hook up for XM radio with an antenna. Front windshield is cracked. Rear seat is covered in blue crushed velvet upholstery. This is a very well preserved Volvo 240 sedan. It was the last year of manufacturer. It is in very nice shape and I have spared no expenses in bringing it up to my standards with a ASE Volvo certified mechanic at an independent repair facility. What has been done recently: timing belt, water pump kit, spark plugs and wires, crank sensor, K&N air filter, new horns, A/C service, transmission service with filter, oil change with filter, trailor hitch and wiring, new rear brake pads, voltmeter guage, oil pressure guage, front strut/shock inserts, rear shocks, new muffler, new tail light lens/bulbs, brake flush, radiator flush, wiper blades, and alignment. New side pockets on both front doors. New electric antenna motor and rod. New glove box lock. Tires are very good. It drives well, tracks well, and there is no shimmey. The A/C blows cold and all controls work as they should. The interior is in very nice shape without signs of heavy wear. Non smoker car. This would be a wonderful low maintenance car for your son or daughter for college. It is safe, well made and the red block B230F engines are known to run for hundreds of thousands of miles. The car does not smoke and I get 5500 miles per 3/4 of a quart of oil. I use 10-30 Mobil One. No accident history and no rust. Underside is clean. The car does have a few dents that are not bad and will not photograph well. A good "Dent Doctor" could remove them. I am selling this car for I just do not use it enough to justify keeping it. Do remember that this is not a museum piece or show car. It has the usual wear and tear for a car of this age. In summary, a very nice reasonably priced last year Volvo 240. These are bound to become classics if they are not already and the color of dark charcoal grey makes this car a standout. I have the owners manual and 2 sets of keys. I am listing this beautiful car locally and reserve the right to end the auction early.
