The Touareg, designed in conjunction with the Porsche Cayenne, possesses a timeless, luxury design inside and out. No one ever believes me when I tell them the car is a 2004, and I cannot blame them. The design of this car makes it relevant today and for many years to come. It pains me to sell off this amazing piece of German engineering. Unfortunately, it is the fourth car in our family and does not get driven nearly enough to justify owning and maintain it. If the Touareg is driven on a regular basis, you will love it. If the car sits idle for weeks on end, problems will likely arise. With proper care and maintenance, this Volkswagen Touareg can last for many, many years to come. I bought it this way and, since it is a non-essential system, I have not addressed it. · Paint on wheels has worn off in some places (see pictures). · Top compartment of center console does not latch closed and does not shut fully, but does not pop open due to being glued shut (see picture). Bottom, larger compartment is still functional. · Minor wear on interior buttons. This is extremely common for Volkswagen products of this time. · Cracks in wood inserts.
