This is probably the best car I ever had in terms of reliability and performance. It is my second Passat, which I liked just as much. No trouble, great pick-up, good gas mileage. Always garage kept, serviced at a reputable shop that specializes in repairing European cars. It has been in no accidents, but experienced minor damage to the rear bumper due to a parking lot mishap, which was repaired. Two of the tires are about a year old, the others are approximately 6 months old. The timing belt and water pump were replaced this year, not as a necessity but as a preventative measure.
