This is a twenty year old vehicle with the potential to be restored as a VW classic. It has a manual 5-speed transmission, which is increasingly rare in this day and age. The body overall is in adequate shape; there are no major dents or rust. The roof has no tears or holes. This is a mechanic's dream. The only thing needed is a replacement engine, but everything else on it works just fine. Smooth ride, decent body (some nicks here and there, but hey, it's a 20 year old car), clean interior. Many people say they hate parting with the cars they're selling, but I truly hate the fact that I have to sell this thing. I'm no mechanic. I replaced this car with a Volkswagen Eos, and every time I see a 90s VW Cabrio on the road, it burns me up inside. I'm hoping I can sell this to someone who can do a better job looking after it. And if I see you on the road driving it, I'll be pleased that you're enjoying it, but I'll also be a little jealous too. The car is being sold for $1950, but I'm flexible. Reasonable offers only. Don't try and pull the 'fifty bucks' routine. Given the fact that the car is inoperable, the buyer is responsible for towing/transport. As I have indicated, I am willing to negotiate the price taking into consideration its condition providing it is reasonable. A very clean and well maintained example of this beautiful "Hot Pocket". Very low miles and has been maintained by the dealer under extended warranty till very recently. No accidents and very reliable. The car does have some small nicks which Ive tried to show and also the windshield has a streak from an old wiper but its surface. The interior is very clean and has never been smoked in. I am torn in selling this car but I have been posted overseas so regretfully she has to go. Please contact me if you are serious.
