I'm selling our 1968 Type 1 VW Beetle, 1500cc with the Automatic Stick Shift. The car was in storage (garaged) for the past 9 years. It has a new fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, oil screen, battery, and fresh gas & oil. It starts and runs, the engine sounds & runs good. Will probably need the carburetor cleaned and/or adjusted. The front brakes have been converted to disc, and the rear brakes are drums. Tires are new. The body is in very good condition, see pics for the small amount of rust on the front hood. The paint looks good, sometime long long ago, it has been repainted. It looks great from 5 feet away & good up close. The floor pans were replaced and are in great shape, just need a little paint touch up. Seats are all good. Head liner is good. Interior parts, including a new carpet kit, need to be put in and interior will be drivable. This Beetle ran and drove great when it went into storage 9 years ago. It was a semi-daily (toy) driver. currently the auto-stick is not going into gear. The transmission is good, the shifting problem is possibly shifter or solenoid related. (i'm in the process of trying to figure it out) It won't take much to get the car back to be a fun daily driver. Or, it will make a great candidate for a complete restoration. Private Owner.
