rebuilt 1200 engine has less than 200 miles on it. new fuel pump, new gas (2 gallons). new rubber gas lines. new vacuum line. brakes should be bled and wheel cylinders replaced if/as needed. hand brake works fine. newer headliner (original style) over old one. they didn't cut a hole for the dome light. one head light works. 3 turn signals work. car has been repainted a few times (currently sun bleached yellow) and was originally gray. collision damage. fair tires for towing and rolling. no spare wheel tire. clean trunk and spare well. newer seals on windows. good upholstery. no radio. still 6 volt system. car is a great starting and running car, but needs some brake work, then you can drive as-is or spend time on cosmetics. very tough to find these old 6 volt bugs, now. original interior (rear quarter interior panels may be repro?). seats are original and not ripped. wiper switch or motor is bad, one or the other.

GREAT RUNNING, STOPPING, and DEPENDABLE 1974 Super Beetle. Solid Floors with no holes, even battery tray area is solid. recently replaced battery. engine has plenty of compression to go up hills and on highway and shifts very well. headliner is black and is in nice shape. seats have been redone in plush gray as well as matching interior panels and are very comfortable and firm (you don't feel the springs like many older bug vinyl seats). brakes work fine. good tires. german exhaust. all lights and turn signals work. i doubt the rear defroster works. the circulation fan doesn't work. the windshield wipers do not work. it could be fuses, switches, or motors or connections. also generator light glow when engine is running. i have driven the car for months with no problems, so i think the connection is not right for gen. light, and believe battery is indeed charging. 4 hubcaps. carpet dash cover. dash is cracked. interior dome light doesn't work, but i think it's the bulb.no radio. speedo works fine. odometer does not work. i believe car has a rebuild engine since it's doesn't leak more than a couple drops of oil when you park it and has plenty of power. I cannot tell you how many miles are on the engine though. many people love this car. it does have some rust in lower rockers and quarters, but is a very dependable bug! some bubbling behind vent on passenger side, too.very old repaint original color. came from blacksburg, va. its a great spring fall and winter car, I just have too many vw's. if you coordinate shipping, I am happy to work with your shipper, even internationally. recently sold a car to gentleman in Austratlia and one in Sweden and another to New York State. happy to help out! mileage is approximate. odometer stopped at 87XXX. at time of last titling, had 105712 on car total; we've put about 1000 miles on it over the past number of years. valves are adjusted. runs great locally and on highway. note, it has 73 and before bumpers on it. starts right up on cold and warm days. you can not drive it for weeks and it still starts right up...no pumping or multiple tries...it's a very nice starting and running car. make it show car or drive as is. i was going to pull the engine out and put it in my bus, but didn't want to waste such a nice running car for someone.
