Sold as is knowing it has frame rot and crack issues... no refunds!!! buy it to fix or buy it for parts or scrap etc...1999 Dodge Ram 3500 Van the maxi extended version with seats for 15. It has a 5.9 360 engine, 46re automatic transmission with overdrive/lock up transmission and the upgraded option 4000lb heavy duty axle. So here's the bad... The frame cracked right where the steering box is and has rust in the same area. I believe it's repairable or use any and all parts you need then scrap the rest. Let me start with this, I own 4 of these vans and this one by far mechanically was the best. The engine and transmission have both been gone through and run amazingly! Tires (Firestone) are all near new, the battery is near new (about 1 year old), the seats are in very good shape from front to back. Respectable Van inside and out, privacy glass all the way down both sides. The air conditioning is all intact and was working up until last year and I believe it just needs a couple cans of 134a recharge? No check engine codes, and the emissions are up to snuff with a perfectly working catalytic converter and O2 sensors. It is still Rhode Island state inspected till I believe the end of July and I was using vehicle just up until several days ago. Unmolested interior ( missing windshield surround plastic trim ($30 at pick n pull salvage), floors are good etc etc. the engine and transmission alone are worth it! I can't stress that this was a turn key Van that idles fine, shifts fine, runs strong coasting along at 75mph. Just has the front frame issue. Babied vans are rare! $1500 or trade of equal value, clean registration in my name! If it doesn't sell I'm pulling the engine and tranny, seats, rims and tires, battery etc. and scrapping the rest. The seats individually sell on eBay for $400 each! It's not a perfect Van and needs attention from a decent welder fabricator OR again you get a complete Van that's known to run smooth and strong with a strong transmission and rear end, excellent Firestone tires.
