We've discovered the following for Triumph and MG convertibles is strong, and the British crowd is even larger and just as enthusiastic as the Italian car devotees. Don't worry Italiani's---there's no shortage of love for pasta around here. But vintage British convertibles are certainly an alternative to Italian classics for some buyers, and have a unique appeal all their own. While a bit less sophisiticated than their Italian counterparts, this is a plus for customers who choose to do their own repairs. There is clearly a hierarchy in British sports car fandom, with Aston Martin and Jaguar E types currently enjoying their position on the top wrung. Classics like the Austin Healy and Triumph TR6 are not far behind as more affordable options. Classic MG's are quite popular too. The TR6 in particular has a huge following. Although many of these lovely cars have fallen victim to rust devils, the few solid chassis that remain have become quite valuable. Certain model years like the 72-74 vintage are highly regarded--reflected by NADA prime values approaching $50K! VIN NUMBER IS CC81709U AUCTION JUST CHANGED TO NO RESERVE--CALL WITH REALISTIC OFFERS! Roadster Salon currently has seven other TR6 convertibles in stock ready for restoration with low miles from 1971-1975. Colors include BRG, Magenta, French Blue, Red, Orange and Yellow.Rare overdrive versions available too! Ask your salesperson for details History and Restoration Strategy This particular example was a dry chassis from Utah that a customer had started restoring several years ago. The car had also spent time on the West Coast. Upon arrival at our shop, we noted work had already begun on the interior. The paint was original and rust free, but a little tired. Rubber gaskets needed to be replaced, and although running well, the car required our golden touch. From a mechanical standpoint, we were impressed. Many of the more expensive basics had been covered. Initially, we were undecided how far to take this particular car. For example, "Avanzato" level Fiat spiders represent our mid-range price approach and start at about $40K. The "Avanzato" restoration is the least expensive full cosmetic and mechanical rebuild in our program. Our quandry was that many customers would have been satisfied with the car as it stood--looking like a classic example of a solid "driver". The problem with the restoration of any vehicle is that the number of man hours and materials needed to do the job properly can easily exceed the value of the car. For example, even at a nominal labor rate of $100 per hour, a shop can easily spend 500-600 man hours restoring a single car. High-end projects can reach double that time, with some companies charging over $150 per hour for their services. Consequently, there is always a question of time versus return that must be considered with every project. Ambitious folks who buy cars in need of restoration with the intent on doing most of the work themselves have become our best customers. It is easy to get overwhelmed by projects where expertise and resources quickly go beyond the most dedicated enthusiasts. The model year, condition and potential of this TR6 made a proper restoration easy to justify.Put simply, the better the starting point---the better the outcome. The bones were excellent, miles low and previous service history known. Over $6000 in recent receipts were provided by the previous owner. The entire sub structure was amazingly clean for a 40 year old car. All considered, we decided to take a conservative approach to the restoration to keep the price in line with the better examples in the market. To keep the overall budget within a comfortable range, our strategy was to prioritize the paint and mechanical aspects of the project, and limit time with the interior. This was relatively easy, because the previous owner had already made headway there. We added fresh burled walnut to the dash, along with new carpets, insulation and other cosmetic details. Mechanical and Driving Impressions Engine was dry with no leaks. Our service technicians checked compression, rebuilt the carbs and tuned the motor. Fuel delivery and tank were checked and cleaned. Wear components like brakes and suspension members were freshened. Clutch had been done by previous owner. Rear end checked for leaks and re-sealed. Cooling system also checked and freshened. Budget was kept in check by limiting time with electrical system, but all gauges work and car starts without complaint or hesitation. Some electrical upgrades are available, but would be at an additional charge. The driving experience was pleasant. The character of a six-cylinder British engine is very different from an Italian twin cam. We can certainly understand the appeal. A TR6 is a fun drive. Very few vintage cars can match its combination of performance and relative ease of upkeep. These are simple cars with huge upside if kept in top condition. During our test loop, the car was well behaved, and showed no signs of irritability. Acceleration, braking and handling exceeded our expectations. Solid Car! Cosmetic comments The nice thing about driving a professionally restored classic is not having to worry about the basics. Paint, interior and mechanical are all well done, and ready to enjoy. In all candor, we probably went a bit overboard on the paint. The car was fully dis-assembled and stripped prior to the re-spray in the original color. Prep time, material and finish work was comparable to $10-12K job. Really well done. Market Report The following data was taken from NADA classic car guide, which shows values in the $42-$46K range for a top quality car that is driven and shown. This does not include premium values for 100 point show cars that are transported and not driven on the street. Trends for this model are consistently higher, with 72-74 versions showing particular strength. Our asking price is below the current market for comparable '72 TR6 models, not the higher restoration cost. LUXURY AUTO GROUP/ Internet remarketing solutionsBuying a car at a dealership can be daunting. High pressure salespeople.Limited selection. Adversarial negotiations. Not much fun. But buying a car on the internet has its own unique challenges. The most obvious concern is an online shopper's inability to test drive and evaluate the car in person. While internet pricing can be attractive, some feel that the unknowns outweigh the benefits. Horror stories about flawed vehicle histories, incomplete documentation, misrepresentations, selective disclosure, and title problems make many potential buyers cringe. The staff is your eyes and ears. We are marketing company representing our own inventory, sourced from some of the finest luxury car dealers in Chicago. Our commitment to complete customer satisfaction is unwavering. Internet Marketing PhilosophyIn our changing marketplace, internet sales have become a vital component to every dealer's sales profile. The internet provides us with a low cost venue to sell select inventory at near wholesale prices without compromising the resources of a dealer's retail sales operation. Internet car sales can take several forms, such as online classifieds and auctions. The most popular, and arguably the most challenging, is Internet sales. Our listings are generally offered on-line between five and ten day time frames. We have represented over 1000 fine automobiles on the internet during the past ten years. The vast majority of these vehicles were sold without the buyer seeing the vehicle prior to his commitment. How was this possible? Our success can be directly attributed to our unique ability to evaluate inventory with consistency, insight and professionalism. This talent extends beyond our hands on assessment of a vehicles cosmetic and mechanical condition. It also includes our research of various data bases to determine past road history and service records. More than half of the vehicles we are asked to represent are rejected immediately because of obvious defects or concerns. An additional percentage fails to make the final cut following our research history. Our company randomly collects/studies data from past internet transactions. We have surveyed customers about their online experiences. Direct interviews and focus data are also compiled in an effort to better understand the Internet consumer. We have worked tirelessly to upgrade and improve our services, from the way our vehicles are screened and selected for Internet sale, to delivery and aftercare procedures. The lessons learned are insightfully applied to our Internet Marketing Program. Only the most fully sorted pre-owned vehicles in our inventory are presented through our Internet marketing program. In conclusion, regardless of venue, it all comes down to the quality of the inventory represented. While cliché, you can never pay too much for a great car. It also follows that a bargain price does not assure satisfaction. Luxury Auto Group knows the difference. Italian convertibles in North America, our foray into British cars has only been in recent. This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. LUXURY AUTO GROUP/ Internet remarketing solutions Buying a car at a dealership can be daunting. This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->

Vin # CC66596 L CALL TODAY 773-267-2684 WE SHIP WORLDWIDE! PPI's WELCOME OFFERS WELCOME! Evolve Motors is pleased to present this 1971 Triumph TR6! Exterior: These cars sure do look handsome in British Racing Green. This car received a fresh coat of British Racing Green paint just last year. Paint is B quality; it shows very well but in the inside corners of the truck there’s slight evidence of the Signal Red paint that the car originally wore. Paint presents well; the only spot to note is a light scuff on the driver rear quarter (see photo), which very well may buff out. There are no dents or dings, the car has clearly always been babied. The convertible top and boot are in great shape, with no tears or significant scuffs. Chrome is in good shape and shines well, though there is a dent on the bottom of the center of the chrome front bumper. Wheels are in excellent shape, and are one of our favorite styles here at CCC. Interior: Interior also presents well. The driver’s seat was reupholstered earlier this year. There are no tears, scuffs, or cracks to be found anywhere throughout the interior. Wooden dash face is in good shape, though it does shows slight aging. Gauges are all functional and intact, with no patina or cracking. Underbody/Under the Hood: Having spent it’s entire life garaged in Montana, the car is phenomenally well-preserved. Please look through the underbody and trunk photos, there’s no rust to be found anywhere. At the very front of the driver’s side frame rail we do see evidence of some sort of repair – there’s a weld in place, which is documented in the photos. The car runs and drives very well, better than the large majority of Triumphs I’ve driven. Shifts are quick and smooth, suspension is solid and confidence-inspiring, and braking is straight and consistent. Overall, this a very nice, rust-free example that drives even better than it looks. PPI's WELCOME OFFERS WELCOME! Evolve Motors is pleased to present our gorgeous 1960 Triumph TR3A. Originally delivered in California (as identified by firewall tag STC-61), the car spent the better part of its life on the west coast. We have complete documentation that has followed the car almost since new. At some point, prior to restoration, the owner moved to Minnesota and the title was transferred to Minnesota. The car was back to California in 1992 with its owner and that is where it was restored. The titles was transferred back to California with the same owner and that is where the car was up until 2004 when it made its way back to Minnesota to the garage where it has sat since. The 27k miles is accurate as we can confirm with all the records on file. We show the car with 22,358 Miles in 1983 on the California registration. Furthermore in 1991 it showed 25,723 Miles and in As was the case with most Triumphs of this era, this cars title denotes a 1961 while the vin tag decodes as a 1960. Technically the car is a 1960 however, since it was sold in 1961 it is title as such and accompanied by the firewall tag STC-61. We were pleased to find this car for a number of reasons. First and foremost because its California life shines through everywhere. It is extremely dry and one of the most solid TR3's we have laid eyes on. The sills, firewall, trunk and spare tire compartment are surprisingly solid and free from rust issues. This supporting its proper storage in Minnesota as we expected. This late prodcution TR3a has its original motor in tact and in good running condition. We spent a good amount of time and money getting the mechanicals sorted and turning it into an excellent runner and driver. As you can see in the pictures, we had our reputable techs at the Sports Car Store spend a bunch of time dialing this TR3 in all around. The body, as you can see, shows like a true California native. We believe it was restored in the mid-90s however it wasn't completely reassembled until we got our hands on it. This tell us that, consistent with what the owner told us, the car sat in the garage of his house collecting dust for last number of years. We were quite pleased with how the car cleaned up and because of its overall condition we elected to leave it the way we found it. It truly is a stunner and shows nice and straight. We note the quality of the globe wheel centres. We refinished all 4 of the wheels in black and it really sets the car off nicely. As you can see we do have the original boot cover, side curtains (in need of recovering and sliders), spare tire and wheel, original dzus key, top frame and covering. The car has add-on side glass deflectors which really look nice and function well. Inward the interior is well in tact and extra clean. We had a full carpet kit professionally installed along with new door panels. The dash shows the perfect amount of patina and all gauges function properly. The original turn signal and horn trafficator is in place and functional which is mounted to the original steering wheel. The seats are in excellent condition, free from wear and damage, further supporting its days spent indoors. It has normal blemishes as we detailed in the pictures. Our digital paint gauge tells us that the rockers are original and solid, free of rust and not covered in filler. We also not that the trunk panels and seams all show nice and dry. Under the hood we not the quality of the firewall as well as the bottom of the battery tray. Making our way around the rest of the car we detect some repair spots on the fenders and quarters that were addressed when restored. We do not detect and impact sites or structural repair areas. The body shows quite nicely and has normal blemishes as you would expect from a car sitting in a garage. Please view all pictures as we have done our very best to disclose everything properly. Under the hood sits the original engine in great condition with original ignition system and wiring. We serviced the car mechanically and restored many of the systems including the original heater core, which is in good working order. The cars were rebuilt along with a laundry list of other service items (see above). The engine compartment shows very nicely, dry and clean. The wiring is all properly routed and shows brilliantly. The underside of the car is fantastic as you can see. It has solid pans, straight rails, and nice body mounts. The underside shows the true quality of this time capsule. The car runs and drives wonderfully and all lights and indicators work properly. We note that the trafficator, while working, does not hold its position so we manually move it as needed. The car tracks nice and straight and stops straight as well. The new exhaust system sounds fantastic. We note a common 1st gear and reverse noise, indicative of a tooth burr or chip. We elected to change the fluids and service it rather than rebuild as this is a common occurrence. We do believe this to be the original gearbox as indicated by the stamps on the side of the housing. 2Nd , 3rd, and 4th gear are as quiet and smooth as you would expect. Overall this is a wonderful driver that is an absolute blast to sprint around in. This is a unique opportunity to own such a well documented and well situated TR3a with much originality and provenance. 1980 Triumph TR7 Buick V6 Conversion Very Customized This Triumph TR7 is a show winner and a very fine example of the V6 conversion. It started as a stock RUST FREE TR7. No body work was done. Although I'd like to say restored, it would be more appropriate to say reconditioned and customized. I felt since the paint and body was so nice as original, I left it. While its not perfect, it has bragging rights as is and get much attention at car shows. It was buffed and waxed but any original scratches and dings were left. And you'll have to look hard to find them. This project has taken me over 7 years to get it where it is and like most cars built to this extreme spent way more then I'll get back. Here are the details (I'm sure I'll miss some): Engine Compartment & Drivetrain: Repainted and detailed John's V6 conversion kit Rebuilt Buick 3.8L V6 231cuin motor (I believe mid 80's non-turbo Regal) with New headers, Holley 450 and automatic choke, alternator, lightweight starter, hoses, plugs, sensors, etc. Was rebuilt when purchased with no paperwork but mostly stock. Rebuild 200R4 automatic transmission Reconditioned purple torque converter 65-15g-10 New custom balanced driveshaft and u-joints MSD 6AL Ignition control and MSD Blaster 2 coil MSD billet distributor and MSD 8mm Heli-core wire kit. Xtreme output lightweight starter Dual electric fans with automatic temperature sensor and manual over-ride switch. Reconditioned Radiator with extra core. New water pump and thermostat All new gaskets, no leaks Suspension & Brakes: Front disc brake conversion with new calipers, rotors, pads, braided hoses, proportion valve. Rear brakes freshly done too. New Front struts, springs, poly bushings, front sway bar & poly kit, Anti-dive kit, bunch of misc. replacement/upgrade parts.Rear shocks, sway bar & poly kit, poly bushings. 4 new tire, Aluminum rims and new lugs. Alignment Other Stuff: Gas tank flushed, new gas lines, sending unit and electric fuel pump. Headers, new real dual exhaust with X pipe and chrome hot rod side pipes. Battery relocated to trunk, main disconnect Added newer style fuse boxes. One in trunk and one under glove box Train air horns hidden under front fender with compressor mounted in trunk. If the standard weak British horn doesn't get respect, then blast them with a big bite. Detailed trunk with lots of goodies and hidden compartment. No space for spare tire! Interior: New carpet with sound insulation, new seats New custom interior panels done in black leather like vinyl with orange stitching Leather wrapped steering wheel with orange stitching Reconditioned factory TR8 speedo and tach. Tach was adjusted for conversion. All other stock gauges where replaced with custom blue LED gauges including Clock, Oil Temp, Voltage, Water Temp, Fuel, Oil Pressure, Vacuum and Air/Fuel. All gauges light up and work. Custom panel with auxillary gauges, 5 LED switches, 2 Push buttons, USB, Charger and stock Hazard switch. Double DIN entertainment system with radio, CD/DVD, GPS, Bluetooth, USB, Rear backup camera. Custom cut in speakers front, rear and subwoofer in trunk. Amp. Electric antenna Custom shifter fit into stock shifter console with leather boot. Racing harness seatbelts, LED floor and dash lighting Exterior: Original paint, no rust! Rear spoiler painted to match exterior New sport mirrors 70's style stock graphics package New perfect front and back bumpers Front spoiler New German made cloth top with inside liner. Not a cheap repro style but top of the line. Leather boot to cover back when top is down. Top is manual. Working factory stock running lamps LED blue accent lighting hidden behind hood louvers and front grille. Switch from interior switch All lights and flip up headlights work as they should Undercoated wheel wheels Undercarriage degreased, power washed and painted Ok so now the disclosures. Yes I will list everything I can think of that would bring this to the next level. Being picky here: Things to do and comments: The exhaust looks great and sounds perfect but it sits low enough that you have to watch for bumps and curb clearances. I worry too much about that so I'd go back to pipes out the rear. Although everything was replaced on the brakes and disc brakes added to the front I feel the peddle is soft. I think a new power master cylinder would wake the braking up. I don't have the carb dialed in and you can get an initial bog on heavy acceleration The motor is too stock for me. I'd like to beef up the internals and heads to give it a real punch. It does ok but not as fast as I would expect for power/weight ratio. A Gran National turbo motor would make this the ultimate surprise! Radio has a wiring issue (my mistake) I routed the speaker wires on the same side next to the amp and battery power wires. This creates radio noise. Also while the radio is nice and has many functions I feel its cheap (I got what I paid for). The tuner doesn't pick up as many stations as I'd like. I have the GPS micro chip but haven't installed the maps. Battery will drain when sitting for long time. I'd install a battery disconnect. I think the radio is the cause. The clock uses very little power. Rear trunk needs a new strut to keep it open. I use a stick. Would be even nicer wet sanded and rebuffed. I'd keep the original paint. No climate controls. The heating system was sacrificed for the bigger radio and custom panels. Would not drive this in the winter anyways.Car is for sale or trade locally so I reserve the right to end this auction if it becomes unavailable.

1971 Triumph TR6 convertible with overdrive, restored over the past two years and now recently completed. I purchased this car nearly two years ago and began what became a significant restoration process. Much of the car has been either repaired, replaced or otherwise restored to original condition. It had an electronic ignition unit that I left intact, as it appeared a recent upgrade, and this is virtually the only non-standard functional feature on this car, other than the addition of a J-type electric overdrive unit which is more durable than the original A-type unit. Improvements, replacements, restorations and repairs include (but are not limited to) the following:Rebuilt engine, to include replacement block (old one was cracked), new standard size rings, rod and main bearings, ground and lapped valves, head resurfaced, new hoses, new 12-volt battery, battery cables and battery blanketNew radiatorNew headlights, chrome headlight rimsNew door and trunk locks, keysNew heater coreNew custom built 3" diameter steel dual radius roll bar that does not impede the vision of the driver's rear-view mirrorNew fan shroud, fan beltsNew motor mountsNew stainless steel exhaust pipe and stainless steel mufflerNew carpet New seat upholstery, to include foam and fabricNew convertible top along with new vinyl top boot to dress up the looks of the car when the top is down (which should be most of the time)New windshield with sealNew red line tires, including spareRebuilt transmission and added a rebuilt J-type electric overdriveNew clutch disc, new throw out bearing, pressure plate resurfacedRebuilt speedometerRepacked all greased fittings, to include front steering, front wheel bearings, rear CV joints, new rear end gasket, fresh gear oilNew hydraulic inline rear shock absorber conversion kit, new front shock absorbersNew transmission and driveline PVC tunnel unitsFresh 'signal red' exterior paintToo many minor components replaced to mention (the restoration file is approx. 2 inches thick with receipts, diagrams, etc) While I have endeavored to return this vintage European sports car to original condition, a few minor components may be of slightly different configuration/design, but the intent was to keep it original looking, and I believe I have achieved this goal. The frame has been repaired at some point prior to my purchase of the vehicle at the pivot point on the driver side trailing arm, in addition to a few other places, and is solid. The previous welder, however, did not replace the trailing arm bushing bracket as far up on the frame as should have been, as that would have required removal of the body to access that point for correct welding. Accordingly, this bracket is approx. 1 inch too low, but I have added coil spring spacers to bring the car back into level, and I don't believe the geometry of the trailing arm has been affected to any significant degree. Also, the idle once the car has warmed up runs at around 1200 rpms, which does not really affect the operation all that much, but to many this may be an annoyance that would require both Stromberg carburetors to be rebuilt. The carburetors run perfectly fine throughout the performance spectrum, so I have left them as original, with only the diaphragms and gaskets being replaced on both units. No manner of warranty is offered on this 44-year old car, nor any guarantee of any kind. Sold strictly on an 'as is, where is' basis. To the seller's knowledge, however, this car has been restored to a high degree of mechanical operation, and should perform admirably under normal driving conditions. Additionally, NO PERFORMANCE CLAIM OR WARRANTY ON THE CUSTOM DESIGNED ROLL BAR is stated or implied. This steel roll bar has been welded by a professional welder, and is bolted to the car's frame using (8) 3/8" carriage bolts, and will probably (but not guarantee) increase the likelihood of surviving a roll-over accident over the previous design of the car without any roll bar whatsoever. I highly recommend, however, that the ultimate purchaser not roll the car over at all and put this custom-designed roll bar to the ultimate test. It is a convertible, after all, and getting involved in an accident that results in the car rolling over is going to be rough on the passengers regardless, roll bar or no. Please only submit your offers with intent to purchase. Once your offer has been accepted, it is a binding contract. Down payment of non-refundable $1500 deposit via PayPal must be made within 48 hours of the accepted offer or 'Buy it Now' function having been selected. Balance of the payment will be due within 7 days of the closing of the initial sale date via whatever secured means that guarantees the seller full valid payment. Release of the car for transport will not occur until all funds are secured and verified as valid within seller's bank account. No exceptions, sorry. If you wish to use a wire transfer, please note that buyer will be required to pay ALL of these transaction fees, to include those by both sending and receiving financial institutions, and these fees are exclusive of the purchase price. International buyers are welcome to submit offers. I will assist in the shipping if possible, for additional fees, to the point of debarkation or export (west or east coast of the U.S.).

ALL ORIGINAL - 1 OWNER - 17,813 DOCUMENTED MILES - SERVICE HISTORY - MANUALS 1976 Triumph TR6 Vehicle Information Type:UsedYear:1976Make:TriumphModel:TR6Trim:Stock3952 Exterior Color:Pimento Documented 1 Owner Since New!! Original Pimento Red Paint & Beige Interior Complete Service History, Manuals, Tonneau Cover Never has the term survivor been a more suitable adjective to explain a car than now. Presented in Pimento Red with a Beige interior, this all original TR6 is simply stunning. The exterior paintwork shows little wear as well as the trim and luggage rack. Never having been perfect from the factory, panel fit is correct and original while the black soft top looks and works well, and the windows are clean and clear too. The original beige interior is a time capsule and a true testament to exemplary ownership. The switches, seats, door panels, carpeting, gauges, and wood dash are all in remarkable condition and function correctly. The TR6 is powered by a 2.5 Liter straight six, adorned with twin Stromberg carburetors, which produces 104hp. Regular service throughout its pampered life has kept this TR6 in pristine condition. Recent service includes all new brakes and a clutch service. Driving this TR6 is a gas! Pull the choke, turn the center mounted key, and the engine springs to life immediately. Steering is very direct, and the taut suspension holds the tires to the road and allows for a truly fun, spirited drive. The TR6 is the quintessential British sports car and this example is surely the finest available. Thorough documentation and service history paints a precise picture, and included in the documentation is a church leaflet left by a British Leyland factory worker! A thorough TLD detail has just been performed to make sure that this Triumph meets our strict standards, stop by our showroom, drop the top, and see how nice car really is, down to The Last Detail.
