EXCEPTIONAL 2005 Toyota Prius Hybrid - 45-50mpg routinely This may be the best hybrid vehicle out there. It only has about 168k Miles which isn't bad for those that know about the Toyota Prius. NEW (@ about 95k miles) Hybrid battery!!!! Huge bonus, see details below. RUNS GREAT - This just passed NJ Safety/Emissions Inspection a few months ago. If you know Toyota and the Prius specifically, then you know this model routinely gets hundreds of thousands of miles. Some over 400k miles without issue. UPDATED Hybrid Battery @ ~95k miles - When I purchased the vehicle it had around 100k miles. I asked my dealer to print out the service history for me. I found out that the hybrid battery was replaced with a NEW one under original owners warranty around 95k miles. It was not operating to spec. I can provide the dealer print out. This means that the most expensive, highest wear item on this hybrid only has 70k miles on it. They are routinely great to 250k miles or more. This is a huge bonus! UPGRADED Interior - While the interior was just fine when I bought it, I upgraded the seats to leather and added wood accents to the interior trim. It definitely updated the spartan plastic feel to a more comfortable, easier to maintain modern finish. UPDATED Rims/tires - The tires have a decent amount of life left in them, see pictures. When I replaced them last, I bought a set of 2011 OEM Prius rims which also update the look. The tires I placed on the newer rims profile matched the total circumference very closely of the original tires and even better accuracy on the odometer. CLEAR TITLE - The title is clear and in my possession. I am the 3rd owner. Second owner @ around 50k miles, I bought at around 100kmiles. I've retained the original carfax and inspection report from the Toyota dealer I had do it before I purchased. WELL MAINTAINED - I have changed the serpentine belt just after purchasing. I've recently done the brakes, pads and rotors on the car. To those unfamiliar with the Prius, it has regenerative braking which allows the electric motors in the wheels to capture back braking energy without using the brake pads. If you learn to anticipate slow downs and stops, a lighter touch on the brake pedal will allow you to absorb that energy into the hybrid battery with the bonus of not using the brake pads as heavily. The result can be brakes lasting well over 100k miles! One less thing for you to worry about. Oil changes religiously at about 3,000 mile intervals. NON-SMOKING CAR - This is a clean, well taken care of car. I don't have children either, so there's much less wear and tear on the inside. WEATHERTECH MATS & CARGO LINER - These are the best and they can be yours REAR BUMPER GUARD - I installed a black Toyota OEM bumber guard. This protects the top of the rear bumper so groceries and other items dragged across the bumber don't scratch it up. Pick up only. Vehicle is sold as is.
