Up for sale I have a 2008 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4x4 SUV. The vehicle was purchased for $24,565 by my wife and I in September of 2011 with 27,688 miles on the odometer. It was sold as a "Toyota Certified Used Vehicle" with a clean Carfax by Westbury Toyota of Long Island, NY having had two previous owners. We've accumulated almost 45,000 trouble free miles since that time and have documented every oil (Mobil 1 Full Synthetic) and filter change (Purolator Pure One) while logging nearly every gasoline fill up since purchase. My wife and I are non-smokers and the vehicle is cosmetically in very good condition inside and out. It runs flawlessly and will have a fresh oil filter installed prior to acceptance of the vehicle. Aside from the prescribed oil changes the 4Runner has asked very little from us. The only other maintenance performed was the replacement of the two rear tires and the front wiper blades. On February 11th, of 2012 the vehicle was involved in a minor parking lot incident where it was backed in to. It was reported to our insurance carrier and we were awarded approximately $300 dollars to have the rear bumper realigned, it did not even require paint (I've taken pics of the crash report, we were unit 2). Based on the monetary amount of the damage I do not believe that it ended up on the current Carfax as an accident but I have not confirmed this for myself. I've noted all other discrepancies under the condition report at the top of the page. Also, please be aware that this has been a Northeastern vehicle for most of it's life and as such it does demonstrate surface rust on the undercarriage that would be typical for a vehicle of this year, there is no trace of corrosion on the body. To give you an idea of what I am referring to I have taken pictures of the engine compartment, underside looking forward, and underside looking aft. This is pretty much an original 1987 Toyota 4runner SR5. It is the most desirable color combination of Black/Gray with what I think was every available option that was offered for that model year. 22RE 4 cylinder motor mated to the 5 speed manual transmission. Options include Air Conditioning, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, Removable Factory Sunroof, Intermittent Wipers, Factory Aluminum Running Boards and window visors, Rear A/C and Heat, Factory 6X9 Rear Speakers. This has been my labor of love for the past year. I acquired this vehicle from the second owner that had not used it for the past 5 years. It has always been a southern vehicle and it was stored under a carport. There was minimal rust around the wheel wells so before painting I replaced both front fenders and had the rear quarter panels repaired with welded in metal. The rest of the truck minus the roof and rear tailgate was treated to a high quality base coat clear coat paintjob. This was not a $8000 show paintjob but a very nice $3500 paintjob that looks great and will last for a long time to come. I was on the fence about putting the factory decals back on the truck as it looks so good just all black. I will leave that decision up to the next owner. The whole truck was gone through mechanically to include all new synthetic fluids in the engine, transmission, transfer case and both front and rear differentials. Radiator was flushed and filled with the proper coolant. A full tune up was also preformed. 4 new heavy duty Gabriel shocks were installed. Truck had aftermarket wheels and tires on it so I decided to upgrade them with a newer year model 4runner 16" wheels. Installed was a good used set of 265/75/16 load range E Kelly tires. The factory radio was already gone so I installed a new Pioneer AM/FM CD player with 4 new high quality speakers which sounds great paired up with the still functional factory power antenna. Truck runs and drives great with no issues other than a small throw out bearing noise while in idle. All power windows and locks work great. Fan motor is only working in the high position at present but A/C does work. A couple of small interior items still need attending such as 2 of the rear seat hinge covers are missing as is the plastic surround for the pass side door lock button. The right side of the dash is cracked and I was going to replace it with a factory unit but have not yet found a good enough replacement. Passenger side top corner windshield molding is missing (ordered)and the rod for the battery hold down is also missing. Front skid plate is missing. All minor fixes. I believe this is probably one of the best surviving first generation 4runners available in the country.
