Regretfully selling my beloved 2002 Toyota 4runner with only 72,150 original pampered miles. (I impulsively purchased a new Tacoma) The 4runner has always been garaged in Arizona since day one and I'm the second owner. I purchased the vehicle from the original owner's family about a year ago. Here's the history from the daughter: Her father purchased the vehicle new in 2002 as a retirement present to himself at age 65. In his late 70's he was no longer able to drive and the family offered it for sale here locally in Flagstaff. As preventive maintenance and being overly meticulous about my vehicles, I had the following performed in early 2015 at Findlay Toyota here in Flagstaff by one of their master mechanics: *New Timing Belt w/water pump, thermostat, tensioner, and anything else related to that procedure.*All new belts and hoses*Every fluid was changed including: front/rear differentials, transfer case, oil change, brake fluid flush, coolant flush, and power steering.*New Spark Plugs and the entire wire set.*New Air Filter*New BFG KO'2 All Season Tires, (rated for snow/winter driving) The SUV drives, runs, looks just about perfect. Interior is near perfect with no rips or tears. Every single interior lamp, switch, heater, ac, windows, etc. works perfectly and quietly. The rear window rolls up and down perfect. The body is excellent and shines much better than the pictures show since we just had snow. A few scratches and tiny door scuffs from my wife's car being parked next to it. I can't emphasize enough how great this vehicle is running/looks. The heater and AC work faster and hotter/colder than my new Tacoma. Absolutely clear Arizona title in my name. The truck comes with one remote set of keys and two back up keys. It also includes the original service manual. I'm located in Flagstaff, Arizona and can help with shipping from Flagstaff only. We're right on Interstate 40 and there's a huge truck stop located at the Little America nearby. I once had a Land Cruiser shipped there so it's close and easy. My truck started its life as a 2wd with automatic transmission. The runner is now a 4x4 with a manual transmission out of a 2001 Toyota Tacoma, which is mated to a 1985 Toyota gear to gear transfer case, using a Marlin Crawler adapter plate and speed sensor adapter. The 5vze 3.4L came out of the same 2001 Tacoma with 124K miles. Before I installed the engine new timing belt, water pump, NGK spark plugs and wires were installed. The front axel is out of an 85 4Runner, rebuilt with all knew bearings and seals. It was installed using Trail Gears SAS Kit for both the front and the rear. It is a 4 inch lift with medium duty springs. Gearing is Toyota gearing out of an 88 4Runner with 4.38 (Gearing only made for two years) The gearing is setup for 35 inch tires. If you want to go bigger I would change the gearing again. Clutch, throw out bearing and pilot bearing would replaced at the same time. The wiring harness was built by Toyonly Swaps out of OR. The actual engine harness is intact, Toyonly built a jumper harness to mate to the body harness of the truck. Everything works, lights, AC, Stereo, Speedo, Temp Gauge etc. Exhaust is a high flow Magnaflow with a Cali legal cat, passed emissions with flying colors. It does have an OBII, but because its still a 94, it still has to do the sniffer smog test. Truck has less than 500 miles post swap. The trucks runs and drive, but the tires are old (9 years) and were mainly purchase for suspension placement. I have never taking her wheeling, nor would I with this old of tire. While she runs and drives, she is not 100%. The front drive shaft will need to be modified. There are options to modify the one that comes with the truck or just opt to purchase an 85 front drive shaft. It all depends on what your end game is. The transmission mount is the original mount, and the cross member has been modified. The modification needs to be tweaked.
