I WILL TRY TO FIND AN ORIGINAL HORN IN MY GARAGE TO INCLUDE. For sale is a 1973 Ford early Bronco. Partially restored and modified with original c4 transmission and 302 engine. This bronco is great for someone to further restore or just use as a daily driver. I have had it for 6 years and have used it in the past to make 300 mile round trips to home from college! Its solid but just know that it isn't perfect. Be sure to ask questions about what you are bidding on. I painted it my self so the paint isn't perfect. It is mostly very strong but has cracked in some places like the hood and around the right rocker panel. A little on the edge of back quarterpanels also. Paint is about 3 years old I think and is AUDI ORANGE single stage polyurethane Top was painted with white single stage polyurethane (I believe to the correct ford color) Just like every old ford its going to seep a little bit from places. It certainly isn't leaving in puddles occasionally you will see one drop of fluid from something needing a new seal or gasket. I have receipts for most mods but will have to look for them all and I will attempt to list most of the work that has been done. Heavy Duty extended James Duff radius arms for toughness excellent travel and safe handling at high speeds. Just the install on these from a shop would probably cost you at least a grand. Relatively new starter, battery, and alternator, as well as plug wires, plugs, ignition coil, distributor, starter solenoid also new I believe 33 inch BFG's 3 and a half inch lift from bronco grave yard with highly adjustable rancho 9000's(this bronco is ALL suspension no body lift or blocks) LL Long tube headers guaranteed for life not to rust through. 23 Gallon aftermarket fuel tank Regeared and rebuilt steering box with frame brace plate (much safer ratio for high speed) Rebuilt automatic C4 transmission with shift kit good to 600hp I was told Warn Premium Hubs New felt for windows new weather stripping in some areas New heater core (will run you out in the winter it works so well) Street Avenger Carb Coated inner tub with something similiar to rhino lining with kevlar in it Full Roll Bar from Tom's Bronco Parts Small Hitch Rear bearing replacement Custom driveshaft and proper rear diff shimming (has NEVER broke a U-Joint) New aluminum radiator Front disc brake conversion with I believe steel braided lines New arm rests and some new door parts and handle mechanisms Inside of doors and most of underneath has been coated to prevent rust with Zero Rust (used on barges) Bottom of doors have no rust ask for pictures I didn't have enough space to add them on here. I know there are things I'm missing... but here are a few things it may need. BOTTOM OF ROCKER PANELS LOOKS ROUGH AND HAVE A LITTLE ROT BUT I JUST RAN A MAGNET AND ITS ALL METAL. I HAD TO REMOVE SOME POOR BODY WORK FROM A PREVIOUS OWNER WHEN A SHOP WOULDN'T GIVE ME A STICKER THINKING IT WAS RUST. Hood needs replaced or paint discrepancy repaired Brakes could use bleeding and a brake booster would help Carb probably could use adjustment but runs fine enough for me Wheels and Tires seem to need balancing (vibration at 65mph) This has happened before and a balance and rotation fixed it Driver side seat torn, passenger side is just cracked a little Reverse lights are on red covered hot switch with a red light to warn they are on. Neutral safety switch needed to fix it. Just never got around to it and didn't mind the switch. (Fix it yourself and then you have an extra red guarded switch) Alternator belt squeaks a little on occasion I think it is missing one rear seat belt. Speedo bounces a little bit likely needs a new little plastic speedo gear. There are a lot of little fixes that could be done here and there and this bronco would be a good place to start to build a much nicer one. I have used the holes for the original radio for other switches like a heater fan with more selections but I believe I still have the original radio somewhere. Up for sale is a 1977, almost all original Bronco. Body- original light jade poly paint. It has some patina as one would expect and is Very Solid. Absolutely zero body filler or bondo. The doors have that crisp “ping” sound when you shut them. The weatherstripping is starting to show its age and is fine for the time being, but will need to be replaced (a full kit is about $500). The driver and passenger floor pans have been replaced some time ago and have been done right. I believe the inner fenders or apron have been, I only say this as the fender bolts are newer and not painted as they were from the factory. The hardtop has been repainted at some point. There is a small spot of rust in the gas tank shield and a rust hole in the bottom left of the tailgate. The door posts and tire carrier were painted with POR-15 by the previous owner to prevent any rust in the troublesome spots in addition to seam sealer between the bedsides. These are some of the notorious spots for the “R” word that we hate to hear. There is a small vertical dent beside the left hatch and a small dent in the rear left corner. I have the chrome trim to replace the one that is dented. Lastly, there is a very small dent/scrape on driver door and fender. Interior-original seats in good condition, minus a small tear in the drivers seat. I have new seat covers that will be included with the purchase. The back seat is in great condition. There is carpet throughout that is in great condition, which I believe is not original, but could be easily removed if desired. The steering wheel has a couple cracks in it, and the center piece is loose and needs replaced or fixed. Drivetrain- Original 302 with automatic transmission, with approximately 82K original miles. It has some minor seepage from the gaskets, but no drips or seepage. It starts like any typical carbureted engine, but once it is warm a simple bump of the started brings it to idle very quickly. Absolutely no engine smoke! The carburetor was recently rebuilt. The valve covers are not original, but everything else appears to be. This has manual brakes and stops fairly easily. It has the factory quick turn ratio steering gearbox and tracks very nicely down the road. Also, it has the factory disc brakes, Dana 44 front axle with 3.50 gears. The transmission shifts very strong and the shifts into 4WD easily. This Bronco isn’t perfect, but could be quite easily, or driven as is without any issues. Also included is the original hubcaps which are becoming more difficult to find. The wheels are from a mid 90’s F-150, however, I can trade them out for the original steel wheels if desired. The tires are 215/75/15 and in great condition with very little wear. Feel free to message me with any questions you may have!
