2001 Ford Excursion Limited Edition RWD Green w/3rd row seat The good the bad and the ugly: THE GOOD: Runs & drives! Has cold factory A/C. Cruise Control works, all power windows & door locks work.Has state inspection and I currently still drive it. Will drive anywhere. Strong powerful V-10 gets better gas mileage than the V-8. Rear wheel driven.It had a complete transmission rebuild a couple of years ago and works great! Has ALL functioning seats including 3rd row! THE BAD:Probably needs another tune up (spark plugs etc...) Possibly due to the fact that it uses oil, about 1 quart every 1,000 miles. It has 226,000 miles on it! The driver's door latch started acting "funny" last week. Just in time for me to sell it! It goes into the first latch and stays shut but it doesn't close firmly into the 2nd position. Probably needs replaced, unless you can fix it. I still drive it like that, but makes a lot of air noise and needs to be fixed.The back hatch has to be locked/unlocked manually. Has a nice DVD player & pop down screen etc..., but it does not work correctly half the time. The A/C only works on FULL BLAST cold, not slow or medium speeds. Which is fine for Texas. That's the only way I use it! I WILL NOT be fixing anything...I need to sell it, and will pass on the savings to you. THE UGLY:It has a small dent on the driver's front fender. (see photo)A couple of small pieces on the grill have broken off. Just cosmetic issues see photos:The leather on the 2 front seats, is OLD and separated in several places. I've got seat covers to hide the worn leather, but I took a photo with the covers off for you to see. Same is true for the steering wheel leather, and I have a new cover on it as well.The carpet and the rest of the seats are all intact, but have 226,000 miles worth of a family of 9 wear & tear on them! There are various chips, scratches, dings, stains, etc...from a 14 year old vehicle, but I have priced it accordingly. It actually looks decent from 15 feet, I'm just trying to be real in describing it. It has a grey jump seat installed from an F350 instead of the console. I have the original console and arm rests that you can put back into the truck, if you care to. The jump seat added a 9th passenger & still has storage when folded down. I wish all Excursions came with the console/jump seat like the F350. The "Buy Now" price is $2950, but I am open to the best CASH offer IN PERSON over the next couple of weeks!Spend a little on some new cosmetic stuff (mainly seat upholstery), a few maintenance items (mainly the door latch & tune-up), and this could be a really nice vehicle. I'm making the purchase price low enough to make that happen. Contact me for more information or photos.
