I bought this truck in 2010 with only 45K miles on it. At 85K miles this is probably the LOWEST mileage 1997 Suburban you’ll find! This was a truck that was kept at a friend’s vacation house (celebrity chef Charlie Palmer) so it did not get much use. I’m the third owner of the vehicle, the second owner was my friend who started the build – I bought it from him and completed the build. I LOVE this truck, put $30K as you can see from the build sheet into it but am not using the truck since I travel a lot so here it is for sale. The truck is painted Boyd Codington flat black. We painted the exterior and all the door jams but not the inside of the engine compartment. Taillights were misted over. Overall mechanical condition of the truck is good. Starts every time and runs great with no known mechanical issues or oil leaks. Truck has NEVER, EVER been taken off road, mostly driven around town and to and from Denver. It was my daily driver for four years – very reliable and always properly maintained – oil changed every 3K miles. New transmission in 2011 as part of the build. I have the complete service records since I owned it and most of the receipts from the project. This is a nineteen year old truck so……condition comments that I’d note (see pictures): crease in driver’s side door, touched up hood rust spots, minor rust underneath vehicle, third row seat missing, significant wear on driver’s side seat, rear headliner sagging, and backup camera connection behind stereo keeps coming loose. Tires have about 40K in miles on them so probably 10-15K left. Not a perfect vehicle but looks really cool! No trades, cash only. Purchase requires a $500 PayPal deposit, balance in cash only. I love this car and took excellent care of it, and am selling because I no longer have need - I walk or bike for most everything now, and also have another vehicle. I am the second owner, purchasing in March of 2008 from Copple Chevrolet in Louisville where nearly all the servicing since new has been done. Since I've owned it, the car has spent the past several years in the garage with about half of that being complete storage with no driving and regular starts. This car is fully loaded and in near pristine condition inside and pretty good condition on the outside. It is Aztec Gold in color with dark tinted windows that do well to cut out the sunlight from harming the interior or heating up the car. The rear hatch emblems have been removed, and the front GMC logo replaced with a brushed aluminum logo. This car comes equipped with an amazing Viper security system with remote keyless entry and remote start with tons of features. These tires were replaced then the car mostly garaged, they have approximately 17,400 miles on them, with plenty of life left.3/7/11 - 129515 miles - Serviced/Cleaned the Mass Air Flow Sensor and replaced Air Filter, Replaced the Right Lower Ball Joint, Replaced Left Front Axle Seal and Diff Pinion Seal, 4 wheel Alignment, and Replaced Front Left Wheel with Factory Alloy Rim2/15/10 - Installed Viper 5301 Security System and Remote Start w/ADS Combo Door lock Bypass. This Remote Start system has up to 1000 ft range for starting/unlocking the doors. Two way remote to alert you of doors locking/unlocking, vehicle starting, alarm going off, etc. It's fully integrated into the factory GM security system that completely kills the engine/transmission if the alarm is set for complete vehicle disabling. 11/11/09 - 110868 miles - Replaced Air Ride Suspension Compressor and Assembly, Replaced Internal Steering shaft8/7/09 - 108537 miles - Complete Braking System Replacement including: Replacing Front Brakes with Ceramic Disk Brake Pads, Both Front Brake Rotors, Both Rear Disk Brakes, Rotors, and Calipers. Flushed entire brake system and new fluidAs you can see I've taken care of the vehicle in every way. This car was my pride. There are a couple scuffs, dings, and minor dents on the exterior caused by parking in a garage, however there is no history of accident. I have plenty pictures of the vehicle.
