Why? Perhaps it's because they made a fraction as many of these as they did pickup trucks. Maybe a lot of them were just used as intended and just got used up along the way. Or maybe it's just because their owners love them so much they're unwilling to let them go. Whatever the reason, it's easy to see why these trucks remain perennial favorites for off-road fans. The chiseled good looks are obviously based on the pickup trucks, but there's so much more to a Blazer than just a pickup with a cap. The proportions are exactly right and when rendered in white, it's a big, high-visibility piece of 4x4 hardware that looks tough enough to climb a mountain. It appears that this one is wearing a quality respray, which looks quite authentic and doesn't detract from the truck's purposeful look. There's not a lot of adornment on the sides of the body, so it looks sleek, and the black painted top gives it a unified look, unlike the usual white top that can be jarring to look at. The blacked-out front grille looks aggressive and is framed by bright stainless trim, a heavy-duty chrome bumper, and even the original hood ornament up top. It's definitely got the right look. The black interior looks straight out of the 1980s, and that's not a bad thing. New seat covers match the original velour material and patterns and work well with the factory door panels and replacement black carpets. It's got a few signs of use, but overall this truck continues to impress us with its preservation. The gauges still offer bright markings, the back seat looks almost completely unused, and even the cargo area shows well. Features include factory A/C, power windows and locks, a tilt wheel, and an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo system. The top is indeed removable and there's something special about a topless blazer on a sunny day, making it easy to imagine taking this truck to the beach or to your favorite remote spot. There's a full-sized spare on board, too, so you never have to worry about getting stranded with a flat. The engine is GM's tried-and-true 350 cubic inch V8 with throttle body fuel injection (TBI). It's easy to spot with that unique air cleaner and the engine bay is shockingly clean for a 30-year-old truck. Despite being a 350 Chevy, it's completely stock, so it starts easily and runs smoothly with good torque that moves the big truck without ever feeling like it's working hard. Backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, this big 4x4 actually does pretty well on the highway and with a 2-speed transfer case and heavy-duty axles, it also has the hardware to crawl through some pretty rough terrain. Thanks to a single Flowmaster muffler, the exhaust has a pleasant V8 sound that's muted enough to make this a favorite long-distance cruiser and it sits right on factory Rally wheels with big General all-terrain radials that fill the wheel wells perfectly. Look for these trucks to become a lot more popular in coming years as values on early Broncos skyrocket. And that's not even taking into account just how much fun these are to drive. Look at the price on this 1975 Chevy Blazer as you peruse the photos, and bear in mind that someone spent several times the asking price getting it into the condition you see today. The K10 Blazer was a handsome truck, perhaps one of Chevy's best designs ever. Even after more than three decades, this one still looks contemporary, helped, of course, by the towering stance and beautiful, rich copper metallic finish. It's clearly built for off-road fun, with big black fender flares to cover the wide-by-huge tires, a tubular front bumper with a pair of driving lights, and matching steps to help you climb aboard. Much of the trim was shaved, including the name badges and most of the tailgate hardware, and what remains was painted black to match the bumpers. Panel gaps are good, the finish is uniform, and you can tell from the reflections that someone invested a lot of time getting the metal flat before a drop of paint was applied. It's not perfect, but for a truck designed to play in the mud, you'll be thinking twice before plunging in. Expensive custom work continues inside, where there are high-back bucket seats that look like they may have been borrowed from a Camaro. The durable vinyl seat covers are a good idea on a truck with only a canvas roof, although they materials feel high-quality, not low-rent. Black carpets are a nice change from the usual bare rubber mats that you get in some 4x4s, and the color-matched roll bar makes it feel secure from behind the wheel. Chevy gave these trucks a fairly comprehensive dashboard layout, and you'll note that this one also carries a trick custom wheel that looks great. A locking center console is a practical addition in a vehicle without a roof, and someone has thoughtfully added a fire extinguisher, just in case. There's a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system that uses custom speakers in the kick panels and a big subwoofer behind the back seat to make sound big enough to be heard in the open-air Blazer. The cargo area has been painted with durable satin black paint and for weather protection, there's a removable canvas roof that actually adds to the Blazer's purposeful look. A built 350 cubic inch V8 lives under the hood, and here the builders were aiming for a restrained look. There's black paint on the block, and the chrome air cleaner and valve covers are the only real flashy parts. An Edelbrock intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor works with an HEI ignition system to make a reliable yet powerful engine, perfect for playing in remote places. Good maintenance and clean living have resulted in a truck that runs extremely well and feels strong on or off the road. The engine exhales through a set of long-tube headers dumping into a Flowmaster dual exhaust system that sounds muscular, while a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission makes it very user-friendly on the road. Lots of new suspension components, a Pro-Comp 6-inch lift kit, and Eagle Alloy 15-inch wheels with 37X14.5-15 Toyo off-road radials complete the look. The time and effort to build a truck like this is considerable, but the price is remarkably reasonable. In the same family since 1978, it's a clean, capable, and downright fun truck that's ready to rock. This 1976 Chevrolet K5 Blazer has an awesome look that still resonates today, a combination of ruggedness and sportiness that few other SUVs have been able to duplicate. With a strong-running crate motor, it's also able to live up to the look and offers a long list of upgrades, too. The K5's proportions are almost perfect: compact enough to go almost anywhere, but with a square-jawed functionality that makes it a popular off-roading choice today. The glossy black paint job on this one was done a few years ago, and the foundation underneath was a very clean, original truck, so it's holding up well. As with any vehicle of this vintage, there were a few bumps and bruises here and there, but you'll be hard pressed to find any evidence of previous sins on it today. The paint job was thorough, too, covering the door jambs, inside the doors, the tailgate, and anywhere else signs of a repaint might hide. There are no notable tape lines and the emblems on the sides and tailgate are new, and that means the truck was totally disassembled for paint; not cheap! Other noteworthy details include the bright trim, which is either excellent original or exact reproduction, and the billet grille that really cleans up the front end styling. The black and gray cloth and vinyl bucket seat interior is also a little different than OEM and the craftsmanship is excellent. High-back buckets wear fresh covers with grippy gray fabric inserts and the rear bench is original-style gray fabric which keeps it from getting too dark inside. New black carpets tie it all together nicely, including in the cargo area, which also helps control noise and temperatures inside the truck. Completely free of UV damage or cracks, I have to believe the dash pad is new, or else it's a testament to how beautifully preserved this truck really is. Factory air is also part of the deal, along with things like power steering and brakes, and an automatic transmission with column shift. Bright, clean gauges include an unusual factory tach and there's a newer AM/FM stereo radio in the center of the dash. Mechanically, the truck is ready to hit the trails thanks to a powerful 350 cubic inch GM crate motor under the hood and a substantially upgraded suspension. With 330 horsepower and a stout 380 pounds of torque, it moves more like an early Camaro than a full-sized SUV and they seemed to work hard to give it an OEM look. The engine bay itself is clean and it's been dressed up with chrome valve covers and a tall K&N air filter for the Holley 4-barrel carburetor up top. Long-tube headers and a dual exhaust system with Walker mufflers definitely add some attitude, and the heavy-duty suspension has been lowered to make it sit right. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission powers the original rear axle, and yes, this is a 2-wheel-drive truck, making it a bit more user-friendly around town. Big 18-inch chrome American Racing wheels have an IROC Camaro look and carry performance radials that are tall enough to totally fill the wheel wells. These trucks will never go out of style, and this one retains all the practicality of a stocker while delivering vastly improved looks and handling. Take advantage of this opportunity, because you just couldn't duplicate this truck for the price. With just 36,067 original miles, this handsome black wagon is both supremely capable and totally traditional in the most American way possible: wood paneling. Except for maybe a few PT Cruisers, the Grand Wagoneer was probably the last US-made vehicle to feature wood paneling on its flanks. It looks right, giving the upscale Jeep a country club demeanor and a traditional look that goes all the way back to the earliest woodies. Sure, it's pure style, but what isn't these days? And with so few miles, this Grand Wagoneer is in fantastic condition with glossy black paint that's one of the most popular colors today. The woodgrained decals are in excellent condition with no peeling or fading and aside from some of those inevitable polishing marks in the black paint, it looks far younger than 25 years old. The shape dates to the 1960s, but with chrome bumpers, a hood ornament, a big grille, and stainless window surrounds, the biggest Jeep was able to move upscale and realistically be mentioned in the same breath as the Range Rover. It doesn't appear to have ever been wrecked or rusty and the doors close with a remarkably precise feel, a rare feat for anything built by AMC. The rugged exterior contrasts neatly with the handsome burgundy cloth and leather interior, which is as plush as a contemporary Cadillac and loaded with luxury features. There's plenty of room in the spacious cabin, so road trips are a genuine pleasure, and with such niceties as power windows, locks, and seats, cruise control, a tilt wheel, and A/C (which could use a recharge), it won't ever feel like you're "roughing it" in this Grand Wagoneer. The seats are in excellent condition with only slight comfort marks on the leather portions of the outer bolsters and the back seat looks almost completely untouched. Plush carpets are a bit faded, which is inevitable with anything red, but they're in good condition and help keep the inside of the Grand Wagoneer quiet and comfortable. An AM/FM/cassette stereo system dates the truck but works rather well and you get a full dash full of analog instruments that are easy to read. The rear compartment is positively huge and beautifully tailored with stainless rub strips to protect the carpet. AMC's biggest V8, a 360 cubic incher topped with a 2-barrel carburetor, was standard equipment. Its specifications may seem modest, but it's incredibly torquey and doesn't mind crawling around in the dirt. It has a hushed exhaust note befitting its upscale luxury mission and it has proven its durability inside Jeeps for decades. It's nicely maintained and runs well, and a tune-up would probably make it so smooth you couldn't feel it running. It's definitely clean under the hood and under the body, showing no signs of winter weather or harsh off-road conditions, and thanks to a recent exhaust system, it sounds just right. Jeep's sophisticated all-wheel-drive system was way ahead of most of the competition in 1990, with a 3-speed automatic transmission and a set of 2.72 gears, so it's a great highway cruiser. Handsome alloy wheels are a familiar look and they're wrapped in 235/75/15 whitewall radials for just the right upscale look. You'll note that prices on good Grand Wagoneers are skyrocketing. There's a finite supply of good, low-mileage units like this, and we'll wager that this one won't last long at all. Someone has invested tens of thousands of dollars in the mechanicals and cosmetics to create a high-visibility machine that will go anywhere and looks great doing it. The silver paint job was well done, and the addition of a steel cowl induction hood only helps the already handsome Blazer's looks. In fact, the whole truck has a muscle car vibe, as if it was built by someone who loved the utility of a truck but wanted the performance of a hot rod. And the shocking thing is, it really works well! The hood also includes a tachometer, possibly cribbed from an early GTO, and you'll note custom touches like shaved emblems that make it look smooth and sleek; well smooth and sleek for a giant 4x4 truck anyway. Pretty cool. Other custom touches include tinted windows, a custom power sunroof in the lift-off portion of the roof, and plenty of chrome, including a big push bar up front and tubular steps to help you climb aboard. Prepare to be amazed by the interior. I'll overlook the obvious stuff, and start by talking about the custom buckets up front, which appear to be from a late-model and work rather well here. The original dash is wrapped in matching fabric for a low-glare look, the door panels have been neatly modified with custom speaker enclosures, and overhead there's a nicely-fitted headliner that highlights the aforementioned sunroof. But the real story is the positively overwhelming sound system stashed throughout the truck. There are two big subwoofers in custom enclosures in the cargo bay, a few mid-ranges in the side panels and doors, plus tweeters where they'll do the most good. There's an in-dash AM/FM/CD/iPod head unit to power everything and the install is quite nicely done. All that gear has been built into custom housings throughout the truck: kick panels, headliner, door panels, cargo bay, everywhere. And, of course, it's loaded with options like A/C, power windows and locks, cruise control, and a tilt wheel, all of which are working properly. The engine is a fresh 350 crate motor that's been lightly warmed-over, but horsepower isn't the point of this truck. It runs well, the A/C blows cold, and most importantly, it generates enough electricity to keep the stereo kickin'. Augmented with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and a Summit aluminum intake, it brings plenty of power to move the full-sized 4x4. Underneath, you'll find an automatic transmission that makes cruising effortless, and a 3-inch lift kit that gives the Blazer its awesome stance. It's also got a 2.5-inch dual exhaust system that sounds suitably muscular, and despite the hardware underneath, it doesn't look like this truck has been abused bashing around in the mud. Heavy-duty shocks at each corner add to its off-road credentials, as do the giant polished aluminum wheels wearing 33x12.5-15 Wild Country off-road radials. The economics of a truck like this don't add up for a builder, but for the guy looking for a truck with looks, performance, and a stunning audio system, it's a screaming bargain. The final year for a full-sized 2-door SUV from GM, it was the end of an era. And unlike so many of this truck's siblings, this one hasn't been bashed and abused off-roading and hasn't rotted to a skeleton. Instead, it's one of the nicest, low mileage (39,068 actual) examples we've ever seen and looks years younger than it actually is. Wearing a sleek charcoal gray paint job, this handsome Tahoe reminds us of why the 2-door full-sized SUVs were cool. Yes, it's big, but it's also tidy enough to go places today's giant trucks can't. Its proportions are excellent, meaning that the "Sport" in Sport Utility Vehicle isn't a total joke, and everyone can agree that Chevy hit a home run with the styling on these trucks. The fender flares, blacked-out chin spoiler, tubular step plates, and other details are a handsome contrast against the charcoal gray paint, which is in fantastic condition overall. There's a deep shine, the gaps are excellent, and even the Z71 decals on the quarters are bright and crisp. Add in a blacked-out grille, the flush-fitting side windows, and an elegant light gray pinstripe, and you get a truck that looks great from any angle. The only other notable modification are the tinted covers on the parking lights, but those can be removed in seconds if you don't like the look. And honestly, who doesn't love the way this truck looks? The gray leather interior is in equally fantastic condition, and it's loaded with just about every option Chevy could come up with. The power buckets show only minor comfort marks on their leather surfaces, but no rips or split seams, and the massive truck provides truly epic seating. Factory carpets are in equally nice shape, with matching floor mats keeping them safe all these years. The list of features includes A/C, power everything, a wide center console, tilt column, and a great-sounding AM/FM/CD stereo, so this truck still feels quite contemporary and civilized. Everything works, which is truly the sign of a vehicle that's been well-maintained, and if you've always wanted one of these, I can't imagine finding a nicer one. The back seat offers great accommodations for three full-sized people and you can still pile all your gear in the cargo area, which uses an overhead hatch instead of the less functional swing-out barn doors. Chevy's erstwhile 5.7L Vortec V8 is the right choice in the Tahoe, offering plenty of real-world torque without epic fuel consumption. It's been augmented by a K&N air intake system and a custom program from a Hypertech programmer unit, so there are a few extra ponies on tap to make it feel energetic around town. But otherwise, it's pretty much as the factory built it, so it's reliable and easy to service. The engine bay is shockingly clean, again suggesting that this truck has never been off-road. It uses a familiar 4L60E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission linked to a 2-speed transfer case, and all the 4-wheel-drive hardware works as it should. Underneath, the upgraded Z71 suspension has been treated to Rancho shocks that make a noticeable difference in ride quality and there's a Flowmaster exhaust system that just sounds great. Shiny American Racing aluminum wheels look fantastic and carry big 285/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler A/T radials. Go ahead, try to find one of these, never mind one this immaculately preserved. Perhaps the best we've ever seen, it may be your last chance to own a legend. This 1985 Chevy K5 Blazer, with all its square-jawed ruggedness, massive off-road rolling stock, and a burly V8, remains a first-class ride both on pavement and off. Hard to believe this was the small 4x4 back in the '80s, but if you wanted a truck that could pretty much do it all, the Blazer was your best choice. It's also quite remarkable that someone gave this incredible red and silver Blazer a comprehensive restoration, equipped it to go into the most remote areas imaginable, then made it absolutely beautiful. The paint is extremely nice with a contemporary red and silver color combination that works well on the big SUV. It's highly unlikely that this truck was one of those rusty beaters you see all the time, because with sheetmetal this straight it had to be good or else someone spent five times the asking price to make it so. Whatever the story is, this sucker looks amazing in the flesh and carries an air of sophistication that belies its working-class origins. All the bright trim was reinstalled after the paint was dry, and up front there's a cowl-induction hood just to add the right amount of attitude. Nice chrome bumpers, proper Sliverado emblems, and lots of polished stainless steel give it a very finished look. You want a nice one, well they don't come much nicer than this. The handsome gray cloth interior is also in excellent condition, offering what appear to be new seat covers and carpets, which complement some very nice original door panels and a dash pad that hasn't been baked by the sun. The original gauges are in the dash, because this truck hasn't been extensively altered from original spec inside, still sporting the original radio, steering wheel, and a long list of factory options. Power windows and locks, a tilt wheel, a center console, and cold A/C make this Blazer as much luxury vehicle as trail-blazer and if you really want to attract attention, try making this your daily driver! If there's any demerit, it's that the window switches are upside-down, but that's an easy fix that'll take less than an hour to fix once you get it home. There's also a massive cargo area that's fully upholstered and offers enough room for all your gear on a weekend getaway. There's still a small block Chevy under the hood, but this one is fortified with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and open-element air cleaner to help move those oversized tires. As many OEM parts as possible were retained, including the serpentine accessory drive, and it appears that much of the A/C system has been recently rebuilt. The engine itself was powdercoated black, so it's easy to maintain and looks good and it runs like a small block Chevy should. There's an automatic transmission driving a two-speed transfer case with the stock 10-bolt rear end housing 3.08 gears, so it's great on the highway. The suspension is a Skyjacker setup featuring new Hydro 700 shocks, springs, and other hardware. And with that lifted suspension, the only way to fill those wheel wells is with massive 35x12.50-15 BFGoodrich all-terrain tires on factory Rally wheels. Probably way too nice to bash around in the dirt, this Blazer is still ready, willing, and able. Are you up to it? We take SUVs for granted today, but in the 1970s, if you wanted a 4-door wagon that could climb a mountain, the Jeep store was the only place to go. With V8 power, a sophisticated 4-wheel-drive system, modern amenities, and enough room for the whole family, these Jeeps represent the beginning of an entirely new category of vehicles. You're used to seeing these with wood paneling, but the originals had no such pretensions and came pretty much the way you see this one today. The Jeep bodywork is easy to recognize even at a distance and for a vehicle that's more than 35 years old, this one is remarkably well preserved. It's been restored as needed over the years, but never warranted a full dis-assembly thanks to an easy southern life, giving it a sturdy all-of-a-piece feeling going down the road. The bodywork is in good order, just about the way you'd expect for a vehicle with this one's capabilities: not perfect, but certainly nice enough to be driven with pride. The paint has been re-sprayed in its original color and although it does show some signs of use and age, quite honestly there's nothing that says all-weather competence like this Wagoneer. A few chrome pieces add distinction, including the window surrounds, big Jeep grille, and a shiny luggage rack up top that's practical as well as handsome. The tan interior is spacious, perfect for family vacations to that out-of-the-way spot most folks don't know about. The control layout should be familiar to anyone who has driven a full-sized Jeep product of the era, with a fairly comprehensive array of gauges for the driver and plenty of comfort and convenience items. A column-mounted automatic transmission works with the sophisticated 4-wheel-drive system to ensure that you've always got traction and things like the AM/FM/CB radio, A/C (fully functional, by the way), and a tilt steering column make it feel far more luxurious than its price would suggest. The carpets are brand new, and cover floor boards that have been professionally coated with bed-liner, should you want bring the elements inside the cabin. Door panels and seat covers are original and in great condition and the back seat is spacious enough for a no-complaints road trip from anyone you put back there. Of course, there's also the massive cargo bay, which is neatly carpeted and looks like it would carry just about anything you could imagine. AMC's rugged and torquey 360 cubic inch V8 was standard equipment and with a recent top-end freshening, this one is not only fresh but drives superbly. The under-hood area is beautifully detailed and is very correct, from the air intake to the factory engine enamel on the block, to the ultra-clean firewall and inner fenders. Turn the key and it starts easily and has a muscular V8 sound thanks to a correct single exhaust system. Underneath, you'll be amazed by how clean this Wagoneer is (especially if you've ever been under one of these before) and it looks like it's never been anywhere more challenging than a gravel driveway. Recent shocks give it a very smooth ride and with power steering and brakes, this big wagon handles well and is still a great choice for today's modern world. Industrial-looking and correct steel wheels are a favorite 4x4 look and they're wrapped in right-sized 235/75/15 Firestone all-terrain radials. With a 2-page list of new parts, this expertly maintained Wagoneer is a rare find. There are plenty of later Grand Wagoneers around, but very few like this. Nicely preserved and maintained by a meticulous owner, this truck is ready to be enjoyed but won't last long, so call today! 1979 Jeep Wagoneer for Sale 1979 Jeep Wagoneer for Sale Stock # 2594-ATL Charlotte Showroom 5400 West WT Harris Blvd Charlotte, NC 28269 Local/International: (704) 598-2130 Toll-Free: (866) 542-8392 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Atlanta Showroom 213 Thornton Rd Lithia Springs, GA 30122 Local/International: (678) 279-1609 Toll-Free: (877) 367-1835 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM EST Sat: 9AM - 5PM EST Email: [email protected] Dallas/Fort Worth Showroom 5400 Sandshell Dr Fort Worth, TX 76137 Local/International: (817) 764-8000 Toll-Free: (855) 877-2707 Hours: Tues - Fri: 9AM - 6PM CST Sat: 9AM - 5PM CST Email: [email protected] TERMS OF SALE 1. V8 power, a hugely competent suspension setup, and a bare-bones attitude that's all about low maintenance after a day playing in the dirt. It would be a mistake to call the Bronco "Ford's Jeep," but when it's pared down to its very essence like this, the comparison is apt. Designed to go anywhere and have fun while doing it, this Bronco's list of equipment reads like a performance off-road catalog. Much of the body, what's left of it anyway, is original, but it's been enhanced with some stylish fiberglass body parts that transform the look. Obviously the cowl-induction hood is an aftermarket part, as are those door inserts that give it a finished look that doesn't seem to need anything more. Finish quality is about what you'd want for your off-roader, nice enough to get nods of approval from your fellow Bronco fans but not so perfect that you're afraid to use it as intended. Black means that extra time was spent on prep and it shows only minor signs of use since it was completed, suggesting it's had excellent care. A heavy-duty front bumper adds to the rough-and-tumble look, while a custom rear bumper with a beefy spare tire mount makes it look purposeful. Fender flares cover the rear tires and just about anything that was chrome has been painted black or shaved entirely, save for the shiny Bronco emblems on its flanks. You want attention, this truck delivers! The interior is only the basics, covered in materials that don't mind getting wet, and designed to help you handle the rough stuff. The stock seats have been replaced by racing seats that hold you in place no matter what you're doing and the entire tub has been treated to spray-on bedliner material, so it's durable and easy to maintain. This was originally a 4-seater Bronco, but the rear seat was removed a few years ago to make it resemble a U14 model and added dual roll bars for safety. A Grant GT steering wheel is wrapped in leather and looks racy, while the original gauges still monitor the basics, joined by a pair of aftermarket dials under the dash. It does have an original AM radio in the center of the dash, but you'll never use it after you see how much fun this thing is to drive. It's basic, but very well executed. And just in case, you do get a bikini top and a half-cab fiberglass hardtop; nobody said you had to drive in the rain. For power, you get a reliable, torquey 302 cubic inch V8 that still looks quite stock. The heavy-duty air cleaner, Ford Blue paint, and other systems all look very much like they would have in 1977, and that's good news for reliability. It starts with a characteristic V8 burble from the twin Flowmaster mufflers, sounding more Mustang than truck, and with things like power steering and brakes, it's especially easy to handle in the rough. Obviously the suspension is heavily modified, with a lift kit, heavy-duty springs and shocks, and upgraded hardware throughout, and you'll note that the chassis is in great shape. If anyone went off-roading in this truck since it was done, they used care and cleaned everything up properly when they got home. A C4 3-speed automatic transmission drives the 2-speed transfer case and it's a good thing they added that lift kit, because the giant 35x12.50-15 off-road tires need every bit of space they can get. Nicely finished, lots of fun, and expertly built, this is an early Bronco that truly delivers on the promises made by its outrageous look. Take this 1968 Bronco "half cab" for example. With a set of wrenches and about 15 minutes, it goes from cool mini pickup to a fully open 4x4 beach comber. Add a fabric or lift-off hard top and you've got a standard Bronco, and none of it takes more than a few bolts. Cool, right? This one was originally born a full-cab converted into a half-cab, which was popular back in the day and easy to do today. In truth, the Bronco's modular nature means there's no real difference in value, but the cool thing with this one is that it was all restored at the same time, so it fits together extremely well. The bright red paint with white accents is a traditional Bronco look, and on a Mustang they might call it Candyapple Red. This one doesn't appear to have lived its life on the trails, with straight sheetmetal, excellent rockers, and fenders that are smooth and ripple-free and haven't been modified with oversized fender flares. The bed area now wears a spray-in bed liner material, and offers modest utility and the ability to go just about anywhere with your cargo. Slim chrome bumpers are about the only shiny bits on the body, but the white grille, stainless trim surrounding the body, and tall FORD letters on the tailgate give it a dressed-up look. We see a lot of early Broncos here at Streetside, and this one can be proudly added to the fleet. The interior is pretty stock, with bucket seats that look remarkably like they belong in a Mustang (they're close, but not quite exactly the same). Liberal use of sound-deadening materials makes the cabin nice and quiet on the road and there are black carpets on the floor that give it a more luxurious feel than the original rubber mat. The bright white instrument panel remains simple and utilitarian, with only basic instruments and controls, which also means there's less to go wrong when you're miles from home. The steering wheel is an aftermarket 3-spoke unit that could probably be replaced without anyone shedding a tear, although it's just the right diameter to work perfectly with the column-mounted shifter. The other lever on the floor is for the 2-speed transfer case underneath, an integral part of any Bronco's spec sheet. An AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit was built into the dash years ago but needs speakers to be complete once again. the heater and defroster are downright powerful. A torquey 289 cubic inch V8 lives under the hood, and we strongly suspect that it's the original engine for this truck. Nicely finished in Ford Blue with a correct air cleaner and "Powered by Ford" valve covers, it is obvious where the big money was spent on this restoration. It does show signs of use but no evidence that it's been banging around off road, and pretty stock specifications means that it's reliable and easy to service. A custom dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers gives it a muscular feel and sounds amazing, so you can forget about sneaking around in the woods with this one. The three-speed manual transmission is a little balky but you'll get the hang of it and it still powers the stock transfer case and axles. Relatively recent shocks and steering stabilizer give it a nice ride when you're on the pavement and shiny aluminum wheels carry 31x10.50-15 white-letter tires on all four corners. Early Broncos are still the most fun you can have playing in the dirt, and while this one isn't perfect, it always pays to buy good base stock. With more luxury, more performance, and, well, more everything than the venerable Jeep, this 1975 Ford Bronco is go-anywhere utility that looks equally at home on the trail and at the country club. While you see a lot of early Broncos with big tires and burly engines, restored examples like this are a refreshing change of pace. Wearing a factory color scheme of copper with a white hardtop, it has been faithfully preserved in pretty much the same state it must have been in, say, 1977. There's no evidence that this Bronco was ever left for dead, and the paint work is decent achieving a vintage look that seems appropriate, not over-restored. You'll note it has the dual tank option, which allows it to go just about anywhere, any time. Fit and finish are decent, and probably on par with what you'd get from the dealer when it was new and we like the contrasting look of the white fender flares which tie it all together quite nicely. Simple bumpers, a body-colored grille, and good glass all around further reinforce the idea that this truck has always been well-maintained and treated as something special. Handsome tan leather seats may seem inappropriate in a truck designed to play in the dirt, but the OEM materials mean that it is easy to clean and holds up well in use. Borrowed from a late-model, it works rather well in the boxy Bronco and even the back seat was apparently appropriated from the same vehicle, so it looks consistent throughout. New black carpets make it feel luxurious, not spartan, and the white dash and door panels keep everything nice and bright inside. The C4 3-speed automatic transmission is managed by a column-mounted shifter, and the lever in the center is for the 2-speed transfer case, and you'll find that everything has a direct, mechanical feel that's part of the Bronco's appeal. Basic factory gauges keep an eye on the engine, while an upgraded AM/FM radio provides better entertainment than the original AM unit might have. And, of course, you can always pull the hardtop and enjoy open-air off-roading the way it all started. The top engine in the Bronco was Ford's venerable 302 cubic inch V8 topped by a 2-barrel carburetor. Built for torque, not all-out performance, it moves the lightweight little truck with ease and makes great V8 sounds while doing it. The engine bay is largely original, although the engine itself is fresh, with bright Ford Blue paint, a rebuilt Autolite carburetor, and a correct air cleaner designed for the rigors of off-roading. The undercarriage is original, too, but there's no evidence of previous repairs or issues, and the stock axles and transfer case suggest that this truck has never been abused or assembled from parts. The exhaust system is new, and with power steering, it's easy to handle even in the rough stuff. Factory steel wheels from a later F-series truck look right on the Bronco and are wrapped in oversized off-road radials that give it a great stance. If you like them mostly stock, this one sticks to the factory recipe and looks great. With V8 power and an unusual color combination, this Bronco will win fans wherever it goes. The 2500 uses big block power, so it moves effortlessly regardless of the terrain, and with a long list of upgrades, it's the ultimate machine for taking everyone you know to some pretty remote places. Incredibly, that's original paint on this big 'Burb, and it's in fantastic condition. Despite the off-road-ready looks, it appears that this one has spent most of its life protected and carefully driven and the shiny finish is a testament to the care it has received. These trucks are still handsome and functional-looking, one of the best designs if you're a fan of big SUVs, and with details such as the fender flares, chrome brush guard, and matching tubular step plates, it takes on a very serious look. We don't see any evidence of paint work or repairs and having lived in a warm climate all its life, obviously rust is not an issue you need to worry about. It sports the desirable dual "barn door" configuration instead of a conventional tailgate, which makes loading it up in close quarters a lot easier. Chrome bumpers, big driving lights up front, a roof rack, and a CB antenna only add to the highly capable look. The sumptuous tan leather interior was one of GM's best, rivaling anything from Cadillac and making the Suburban the most luxurious GM vehicle you could buy in 1997. The seats, even the driver's chair, are in excellent condition with minimal wear and no damage or discoloration. Heavy-duty mats have been protecting the carpets since Day One and the second and third rows are almost like new. Unquestionably someone loved this truck and treated it like something special. Just about everything was standard, including front and rear A/C, a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo with custom speakers and an amplifier hidden under the seat, cruise control, power windows, locks, seats, and mirrors, and the list goes on. The instrument panel has been dressed up with a walnut veneer and there are a myriad of storage cubbies, cup holders, and other useful touches. There's also massive storage in the rear area, even with the third seat in place, making this this ultimate road trip warrior. As I mentioned, the 2500 came with a 454, but the one in the truck today has been heavily fortified to make considerably more power than the stocker. There's a bigger cam inside, the ECM has been reprogrammed to ensure smooth running even with the upgrades, and a throaty dual exhaust system gives it a wonderful muscular soundtrack. It looks fairly stock under the hood with signs of careful maintenance and care over the years and as with most GM trucks of the period, parts are plentiful and service is easy. The 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago and the transfer case and axles are fully operational. The suspension wears a six-inch Skyjacker lift kit, which includes new control arms, new urethane bushings, and heavy-duty shocks that shrug off impacts on the road, and all the factory skid plates are still in place. Shiny Mickey Thompson "bullet hole" alloy wheels are part of the package and wear big BFG All-Terrain rubber. With lots of receipts for all the recent work, this immaculately kept Suburban is a rare find. So many of these trucks were abused and used up, it's remarkable to discover one that's been loved. Need V8 power and truck toughness without excessive bulk? Then this 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is the right choice! With a lot more room and power than a Jeep and the same wind-in-your-hair experience, this is a cool off-roader that will stand out simply by virtue of being so unusual. Recently repainted, this ultra-clean Blazer is almost too pretty to head off into the brush and get dirty. You'll undoubtedly notice a lot of folks doing a double-take when they see it, as they realize it's not a pickup and it's not quite the usual Blazer, either, most of which kept their removable hardtops in place almost all the time. There are only a few signs of use on the bodywork and given that it's both black and straight, we have no trouble believing that this Chevy has led an easy life someplace warm. The doors fit well and the tailgate shows off big, bold CHEVROLET lettering, and if you really want to make this sucker pop, a professional buff would make it spectacular. Lots of chrome and stainless trim sparkles against the inky black finish, including new bumpers, polished stainless side trim, and an original grille that's in great shape. The interior is in fantastic condition wearing black seat covers with tooling marks that look like old western saddles, a Blazer trademark for many years. Bucket seats up front add to the Blazer's sporty demeanor and black carpets on the floor make it feel a bit more upscale and finished than a plain old rubber mat would. The back seat offers room for three and plenty of fresh air and there's still a bit of storage space behind it. All the gauges are in great shape, including the factory tachometer and this truck also offers features like power windows and factory A/C, both of which are a rare find in an open-air vehicle like this. The original AM radio is gone, replaced by an AM/FM/cassette head unit with speakers throughout the interior, so it sounds great even with the top down. And speaking of the top, it's an easy-to-use folding vinyl setup that is more like a Jeep and offers the flexibility of sealing up tight or going alfresco on a moment's notice. The 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood has no problem delivering entertaining performance in the Blazer. It's pretty stock and nicely maintained, with a 4-barrel carburetor under the stock air cleaner and proper Chevy Orange paint on the block itself. There's plenty of room in the engine bay, so service access is good and you already know the small block Chevy is bulletproof, so there aren't many better companions when you're heading someplace remote. A few chrome dress-up pieces give it a great look, but you can tell the emphasis was on performance and reliability more than flash. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic linked to a 2-speed transfer case with live axles at both ends to maximize traction and suspension travel. The dual exhaust system gives it a nice V8 growl without getting annoying on the pavement and truck-spec Rally wheels carry big 32x11.50-15 BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires at all four corners. We can't seem to keep trucks like this Blazer in stock, and it's pretty obvious why. For summer fun, nothing's more versatile than this and it's fun no matter what you're doing. If you decide to purchase from us, we require that you give us your complete name, address and phone numbers (home, office, mobile and fax) and a port of entry that handles containers. We do not ship vehicles open (RORO: Roll On Roll Off) due to risk of damage to vehicle and theft of parts. All international purchases must be paid by bank wire transfer in US Dollar funds only.
