Think University of Texas Longhorn burnt orange…it’s without a doubt the best orange I’ve seen on a Chevy truck as it’s not typical ‘over-the-top/in-your-face’ Hugger Orange I think looks better on muscle cars than trucks). To say I’m a HUGE Suburban fan is an understatement; I’ve owned ten in the last five years and always looking for clean, original examples. My preference over the years has definitely shifted to the 7th gen ‘Squarebody’ (1973-1991). While I use to like the 6th generation (1967-72) the most, I’ve grown to appreciate the Squarebody design of the 7th gen and appreciate the engineering improvements over the previous generation. Compared to the 6th gen, there’s no doubt they provide a more civilized driving experience…the 7th generation Burban is simply a better vehicle if you’re going to use it on a regular basis, yet it still maintains the classic boxy good looks fans of suburban’s appreciate. Of the 7th generation, the 1973-1979 grill/headlights is by far my favorite for a number of reasons. The single, large square shroud around the circular lens simply screams VINTAGE COOL. I also enjoy the clean, less-busy grill clusters of the ’73-’79. Once Chevy went to the vertical dual stacked headlights from ’81-’88, I believe the face of the Burban seemed confused from a design standpoint. Don’t even get me started on the 1980 example…those headlights are simply fugly (probably the reason it only lasted 1 year). Then Chevy made a comeback in my opinion with the ’89-’91 quad horizontal light design, yet they appear to give the vehicle a newer look which takes away from the vintage vibe I enjoy with the ’73-’79. Lastly, I appreciate rare vehicles, and anyone who’s been looking for a 7th gen Burban knows the ’73-’79 examples just don’t exist. I have owned three 1972 Burban’s that all were much more valuable in terms of dollars to this ’75, yet those Burban’s were (and still are) significantly easier to find. As a California resident (that must deal with smog testing and laws on any vehicle 1976 or newer), my desire to find a ’73 – ’75 Burban has been strong. But as mentioned earlier, the challenge has been finding ANY examples for sale, let alone clean, rust-free ones. I’ve come across less than five for sale in the last few years, and of those, none were desirable simply because they were way too far gone in rust, major body damage or general disrepair. I don’t buy show trucks as I tend to use them for ‘kids-to-beach haulers’ for my family, but I require my vintage trucks to be solid, mechanically sound, accident & rust free. I prefer original paint and patina…something that is not mint, has cool normal wear & tear that can only be accumulated over decades of normal, non-abuse use. When I found this example for sale not too long ago, I had to jump. I was not in the market for another Burban since I have three in the stable already, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to buy such a rare, clean example. I was convinced I would be able to talk my wife into seeing the light and letting me keep it, yet after almost four months of struggle, The Boss has won, and therefore this Burban has to go. I would gladly sell one of my other three instead, but one is a new Burban the family uses to haul our four small children on a regular basis, and the other two are 1990’s that I have a long family history with, so they too cannot go. So alas, the rarest Burban in my stable must go. MY HISTORY WITH THE BURBAN I found this Burban for sale not too long ago on eBay in Tennessee. The owner was an older gentleman, that like me, appreciated clean, unmolested Burban’s. He too bought it because he “had to have it”, but with a stable of numerous cars, after a short time with it, he decided he had scratched the bug of ownership and had to let it go. He reported it came from Oregon where he believed it spent its entire life, and the title he sent me was in fact from OR. It was listed as a company vehicle for a dynamite manufacturing business since the 1980’s. The extremely low miles was listed as actual on the title, and based on the way the Burban runs, I wouldn’t be surprised. Interestingly enough, I stumbled upon an internet link a few months after I purchased the vehicle from a fellow 7th gen Burban fan that had built a very comprehensive website on 7th gen stats. On that website, he posted examples of original paint colors for years ’73-’91, and when I selected 1975, sure enough MY Burban was on his site. Not a similar Burban, but my actual vehicle (from when it was obviously registered in OR). See the link below: http://www.1990suburban.com/facts/year_comparisons/1975_chev_suburban/index.cfm PAINT/BODY/MECHANICAL DETAILS As mentioned, the paint is original. Please see pictures for as much visual detail as I can provide. Panels all appear to be original without accident damage. Obviously the paint isn’t showroom perfect, it is slightly faded, there are normal 40+ year scratches and a few minor door dings, with the worst of the paint being on the roof. The best way to describe it is 42 years of above-average accumulated patina. It is the perfect type of paint for my desires, and if you’re like me, you appreciate the “only original once” aspect of quality patina paint, yet you also don’t want to drive a basket case. As I like to say, “Worn enough I don’t freak out about driving it and letting my kids crawl around it, yet not so beat up I’m embarrassed to park it in my driveway.” Glass and rubber is in great condition, tight and without leaks. Almost everything works on the vehicle, with a few minor exceptions (see below). It lights off, idles perfectly, has NEVER stalled on me (both in hot & cold weather), all exterior/interior lights (including front/rear dome lights), blinkers, horn, wipers (multi-speed), door locks, rear power window…EVERYTHING works as it should. The AC & heat are AMAZING! AC service & hoses are fresh as the system blows ice cold. The only non-original item I can find is an aftermarket radio/cassette player and newer speakers. They work perfectly, so you have music for cruising, but it’s not the original head unit. You’ll also see there’s a very cool vintage all analog CB radio, but it doesn’t appear to have power to it, so I’m not sure if it works. The ONLY mechanical issues I’ve come across is an intermittent cruise control…sometimes it engages, other times it doesn’t. But seeing as I use this as a beach cruiser, the need for sustained cruise control use is not needed. The voltmeter doesn’t seem to be working, and the gear selector indicator on column has come off inside the lens. But the rest of the gauges (speedo, gas, temp & oil pressure) all work perfectly…even the floor mounted high beam selector (and dash indicator blue light) work as they should. When I purchase older cars (especially sight-unseen as I did with this vehicle), I like to drive them for about a week before I take it to my mechanic. By doing so, I can get a list of needed areas to address and have my mechanic tackle everything at once. With this vehicle, I didn’t take it into my mechanic for almost 2 months simply because EVERYTHING worked, it drove perfectly and I couldn’t find any fault in it. But finally, I had a few issues when trying to start it where I would get a slight delay in the ignition, so I figured it was time to change fluids and have my mechanic go over it completely. Therefore, in January 2017 I had a complete inspection performed. The start delay issue was minor (the starter was loosely grounded), brakes inspected (all plenty of life left on the pads), and fluids were flushed. My mechanic found a slight rear leak in the master cylinder, and while the vehicle was stopping fine, I opted to replace the master cylinder with a new unit as I didn’t want any fluid potentially leaking into the booster. I also opted at that time to remove the rear leaf springs and have them re-arc’d and the worn bushings replaced with new. Total cost was $1,233.63. At that time, I also took it to my exhaust shop to have it converted to a true dual exhaust setup with 2.5” pipes, Flowmasters and new stainless exhaust tips. It sounds amazing…not too loud where you’re going to annoy the neighbors, yet enough tone to let people know you’re driving an American V8. So that’s the complete story of my ’75 Burban. It really is an amazing vehicle and a pleasure to drive. It’s solid, reliable and an all-around cool vintage ride. If you’re looking for a cool, not your average run-of-the-mill Suburban to haul kids around town, to the beach or sporting events, this vehicle is perfect. You just don’t see ’73-’75 Burban’s for sale anymore…they have quickly become ‘unicorn’ vehicles. I have no doubt I’m going to kick myself down the road for parting with this one, but alas, I just can’t keep my entire stable. CA residents have the added bonus of not having to worry about smog, for those that have had the misfortune of dealing with late 70’s – early ‘90’s vehicles trying to pass smog in CA, you know what an asset it is to have a ’75 or older vehicle. If the new owner is in CA, you can continue to use the solid original 350 engine, or drop any kind of monster engine (my vote would be a high torque 383 stroker) in it and never have to worry about smog or the CA Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). If you’re interested, please call me directly at 714.756.0993 to discuss. Vehicle is located in Huntington Beach, CA. I REFUSE to answer a laundry list of question via email (hence the reason I wrote so much), so don’t even bother sending them to me…and all you SCAMMERS out there, please spare yourself the trouble of trying to contact me. I’ve sold enough classics over the years that I’ve seen every one of the current scams and I’m too busy to deal with you. If you’re a seriously interested party, by all means call me and we’ll talk about the Burban. But if you’re simply the typical “internet tire-kicker” let’s not play the games and talk when we both know you have no intention of buying (or the wife is never going to sign off on you buying this awesome classic…please seek permission to buy from The Boss BEFORE calling me). Also, since I’m downsizing my stable, please no offers for any kind of trades as I need to get rid of cars, not simple swap one for another. Asking $15,000, but open to ANY reasonable offer. I will NEVER be insulted or get upset over an offer; I just can’t guarantee I won’t laugh. I’m sure I’ve left out info, so please call me directly to ask questions. Reserve the right to end listing at any time as vehicle is for sale locally. Thanks for reading! Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE

1974 Toyota FJ40 Land cruiser belonged to my brother in-law and he kept it in his parent’s garage while he served in the air force. Stored in Long beach it was started and ran periodically. The vehicle was meticulously maintained and in great shape in addition rust free. He bought it from the 2nd owner which was originally sold at a Southern California Dealership. Eventually he agreed to sell it to me, and I spent the next year restoring it to the original factory condition. All Body panels, hardware, suspension, interior engine and accessories removed, body was stripped and painted original Toyota paint code, all hardware replaced and restored. All hoses, belts, and engine accessories replaced using genuine Toyota components only. After completion the vehicle looked and drove as it did when purchased brand new. Driven mostly to car shows and events, always popular because of its original condition and pristine state. Vehicle has been stored indoors and is driven seldom but always maintained. In July of 2015 the vehicle was modernized for safety and drive ability at one of the top Southern California Landcruiser specialists. This included, Disc break conversion, electronic ignition system, FJ60 Carburetor, aluminum radiator, water pump, fuel system, all belts and hoses replaced and adjusted, FJ custom powder coated wheels (to accommodate discs). The entire vehicle gone thru and checked, all upgrades are professionally done and genuine. Toyota vehicle can be maintained at any Toyota dealership. Drives better and more dependable then when it was new, but still looks factory. One of a kind, all Toyota Landcruiser, beautiful, rugged dependable, easy to maintain, will go anywhere and last for decades if cared for properly. Your bidding on the most complete and best driving and looking 1968 Ford Bronco on the open market, this is my 3rd Bronco that I have had but my best built Bronco out of all 3 (trial and error) paint was just completed a little over 2 years ago and always garage kept under a cover so the paint is perfect, the interior is all original done to the highest level using only the best material available. Tires are new, a built 351 Windsor that I just invested another $2K into less than a week ago for the new owner sealing up everything possible so does not leak a drop runs like a Brand new Ford Truck. the power steering is the best you can have on these older Broncos along with the disc brakes, its a manual transmission put on the floor for easy driving, if your looking for a turn key Bronco with only needing to worry about oils changes and gas this is it you wont regret it just look at the pictures its the perfect height for a comfortable smooth ride not all over the road straight down the road like it should be. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and 3rd party inspections more than welcome I can also help with transportation if needed so don't let this one pass you up they are getting harder to find like this and not trying to ask the world put it this way under $40K owns this Bronco and any experienced Bronco fan knows that cant build this Bronco. The only reason I'm getting rid of it is we are expecting our first child in 7.5 months so I have to say goodbye tone baby for the other baby.... $1,000.00 deposit due at time of sale with the remaining either cashier's check or bank wire.

Options include RARE factory cruise control (yes, CC in a ’72 Burban…I didn’t even know it was available until I found this one…currently not working, but a solenoid away from cruising), tilt-wheel (very rare), in-dash tach, in-dash clock (rare, but unfortunately intermittently working), power steering, power disc brakes (front), front/rear A/C (works, but not charged), factory front bucket seats & sport steering wheel. ALL gauges, lights (even both A-pillar search/flood lights), horn, turn-signals & wipers all work as they should. All doors lock via keys (including rear barn doors). E-brake is not hooked up. Sorry for the poor video quality (iPhone edits), but wanted to give a true sense of how solid the vehicle functions. 3rd row seat came from my ’72 K5 Blazer – installed rear-facing via floor bolts in order to provide ease of access and still have the ability to use the cargo area without removing 3rd row. For safety, I added retractable 3-pt shoulder harnesses to front & 2nd row (I’ve been using the vehicle to transport my three sons under the age of 5 to the beach & around town…so seatbelts are key for securing child seats). Even the 3rd row has the factory retractable lap belts (I transplanted them from the front buckets to the rear…they are now welded to the bench seat frame, so obviously secure as can be). Body is a very solid driver…a few small sheet-metal rust bubbles that are typical of these vehicles…but underside of doors are not basket cases and the rockers are solid. The worst door is the inside bottom of the rear driver barn-door. The worst paint section is of the top that is coming off (see pictures)…I received 3 different quotes to correct issue ranging from $400-$800 to respray the top white and was planning on doing it, I’ve just been too busy w/ work and my family to take the time to drop off the vehicle to get sprayed. I would also clean up the left rear barn door…can’t really figure out what happened, but it has multiple areas of the paint that has small hairline cracking and should be cleaned up if you want to show the vehicle. This has been a beach cruiser for my family, so not a huge deal, but if I kept the Burban, I would clean up those few small areas as obviously they are not going to get better with time. Frame is solid with only light surface rust. All windows roll up & down, but front passenger is very tight. Another weekend project I haven’t gotten around to, but no doubt the door cards need to be taken off and the track needs to be cleaned and oiled to get it performing perfectly. As I said, it still goes up & down completely, just very tight. I purchased this Suburban from essentially the first owner – Mr. Bob Sykora, the founder of Bob’s Chevy Parts of Middlefield, OH. He was technically the second owner, but bought the vehicle when it was around 10 years old in the 80’s and has had it ever since. He used it as a company promotional vehicle for the last 20+ years, but since he’s now retiring from his business, he just didn’t need it anymore and it had been sitting in his garage only being used slightly during the last few summers (and never taken out in the OH winters). He did a complete restoration of the vehicle in 1988; at that time the engine & transmission were completely rebuilt and he spun the odometer to reflect “starting over” on the major parts. That said, the vehicle is now reading a little over 60K miles and the engine runs strong and transmission shifts perfectly. I’ve driven this Burban at least 3 times a week for the last year and have now logged enough miles to know it’s extremely reliable…I’ve NEVER had an issue with it on the open road…I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. It lights right off, idles perfectly and never misses a beat. The worst thing that happened to me was a leaking fuel pump in my driveway last month…I had the vehicle towed to my mechanic and had them install a new pump and look over the whole system for any further issues. At that time they found a slight oil leak in the intake manifold gasket and one head gasket, so I had those gaskets replaced. Other than those issues, it’s been rock solid. The other major mechanical / cosmetic ‘upgrade’ I did was to returned the vehicle to stock ride height via new coils and shocks. When it came to me it was slightly lowered (via not only shorter coils, but they were also worn out and slightly sagging). So I replaced the suspension components to restore it to stock height, and also sourced a set of factory rally steel wheels (to replace the 80’s alloys that just didn’t look correct to me). I finished it off with a new pair of 31” BFG T/A KO’s - tires are essentially brand new. I flushed all the fluids (oil, brake lines & master cylinder, radiator & diff) in order to reset the clock on those critical components. The interior is now brand new. It came to me with decent black vinyl seats with a few minor cuts, but I wanted to upgrade to the black and orange hounds-tooth pattern you see now. The interior took almost 3 months to get and wasn’t cheap (almost $1300 just for the material, then the install fee of another $600). The front bucket foam was newer and still very firm, so it was retained. But the 2nd row bench was very soft and sagging and the 3rd row (out of my K5) was completely shot…therefore the 2nd & 3rd row bench seats received brand new custom foam. The end results are three rows of great looking/feeling seats. The Burban also had an 80’s tape deck and equalizer, but since the dash wasn’t cut, I decided to install a Classic Car Stereos Premium Slidebar Stereo Kit (http://www.classiccarstereos.com/product/1967-1972-Chevy-Pickup-Truck-Radio/CHTKL-SBR-PSK.html) which included the cool slidebar feature to cover up the modern digital head unit…the system looks like it’s vintage analog, when in reality it’s a modern digital unit (that even accepts smartphone hookups via glovebox). System included the radio headunit, kick panel speakers, Rockford Fosgate Punch Boosted Rail 300 watt – 4 channel amp, and Undercover II – 250 watt speakers…all makes for a very nice audio system, yet looks vintage. Over $1000 was spent on the audio system and install alone. I also installed a dual 2 1/2” stainless exhaust w/ 44-series Flowmaster mufflers. The 44-series provides the deep, rich tone of the 40-series without the overly obnoxious decibel blasts of the 40’s…this 402 big block sounds amazing from the exhaust…everyone knows you’re coming, yet you’re not going to piss off the neighbors or cops when you’re driving around your neighborhood early in the morning. I also installed premium window tint all around to help cut out the heat in the hot summer months. Upgrade/Maintenance Summary from the last 6 months (receipts included): New suspension (4 coils & shocks) - $2000New interior (fabric/cushion materials + install) - $1900New factory (GM, not replication) steel wheels/caps/centers - $650New 31” BFG T/A KO - $700New stereo/speakers/amps - $1100Tint - $550Flush/new fluids (radiator, engine oil, brake lines/master cylinder, differential, transmission) + tune - $600New fuel pump - $200New intake manifold & head gaskets - $200 TOTAL - $7,900 The very unique 3-door Suburban’s from 1967-72 are becoming increasingly harder to find in this condition and price point. It seems the majority for sale are either complete basket cases with major rust/rot issues (both frame and shell) yet still selling in the $5K-$10K range, or the total restoration projects where sellers want $25K+ to own. But to find clean examples at the sub $20K range is becoming increasingly difficult. As an owner of three 1972 Burban’s over the years, they have always been a cool way for me to transport my family and friends around town as I prefer out-of-the ordinary classics that provide style beyond your typical new car. I purchased this particular Burban to be my family beach cruiser…I wanted a mechanically sound, rust-free vehicle that would see 95% of its use going & coming from the beach. I also didn’t want a showroom queen as I knew kids would be piling in & out, so the fact it wasn’t a mint “trailer queen” appealed to me. Lastly, it HAD to have rear barn doors as the extremely heavy lift hatch & drop gate configuration on these Burban’s is not practical, yet the ease of opening/closing the barn-doors make this vehicle that much more user friendly. Anyone that has felt the weight of the lift hatch/drop gate of the non-barn door variant can attest to how unruly those doors can be. Again, the barn-doors are a HUGE advantage for those that actually want easy access to the useful storage area of these Suburban’s. If you too are looking for a cool beach or weekend cruiser, this is the Burban for you. Or, if you want a great base starting point for a vintage Suburban project to take to the next level, this vehicle would also be a prime candidate. If you’re interested, please call me directly at 714.756.0993 to discuss. Vehicle is located in Huntington Beach, CA. I REFUSE to answer a laundry list of question via email, so don’t even bother sending them to me…and all you SCAMMERS out there, please spare yourself & me the trouble of trying to contact me. I’ve sold enough classics over the years that I’ve seen every one of the current scams and I’m too busy and impatient to deal with you. I’m asking $19,500, but open to reasonable offers. I will NEVER be insulted or get upset over an offer; I just can’t guarantee I won’t laugh. I’m sure I’ve left out info, so please call me directly to ask questions. Good luck.
