This is a 2000 Ford Excursion XLT, 7.3 Power Stroke Diesel, 2 Wheel Drive. I purchased this Excursion used from a dealer in South Texas in 2001, it had 13,000 miles on it and was immaculate. I have been the only other owner of this awesome Excursion. I have also strived in keeping immaculate too!. It has been maintained regularly by me and a local Ford dealer and a local Firestone Certified Auto repair shop. It had the transmission cooling system service radiator replaced about two years. It has also had the Steering Gear Box replaced about three years ago along with complete new upgrade heavy duty front end suspension (tie rods, idle arms, pitman arm, ball bearings you name it I had it done, also upgrade front/rear shocks with Rancho Shocks, upgraded all four front/rear new Slotted & Drilled Rotors. It also has two new Interstate Batteries also about 10 months old. New hood with scoop from LMC upgrade because of small minor hail shower in 2012 (hence the front of the hood has a small spot about fifty-cent piece size peal because of a boo-boo while I washing it). New rear LED Taillights; New LED Parking Lights & Halo Headlights; New 24" LED Light Bar; New Chrome Grill; New authentic Sheep Skin ultra plush front seat covers (the original leather seats are good shape, it’s that I’ve always have had sheep skin seat covers to protect the seats and for comfort in summer and in winter). There are plenty of other upgrades or replacements here and there that I’ve done thru out the years that I’m sure I’ve forgotten to mention.. There is absolutely no rust anywhere. This baby runs like almost like new and once it gets going it’s gone!... This vehicle has NEVER been in any accidents or wrecked!!.. I've really enjoyed this wonderful vehicle and it has always been meticulously maintained correctly. The ONLY problem that I recently encountered was the check engine light turned on, I took it to my local auto parts store to have them plug the diagnostics computer to see why the check engine light had turned on they indicated to me that it was glow plug # 4 that was not working properly. About four years ago I same thing happened with glow plug #3 and I went ahead and replaced along with 1,3,5,&7. I checked with my local Firestone mechanic and he indicated that it could run like that for a pretty long while with no problems especially being I live in a warmer climate that is not too cold, being the glow plugs are what kicks up the engine to start being its a Diesel. It is my understanding to have the 2,4,6,&8 glow plugs replaced should be no more than $300.00 to $500.00 at a qualified/certified mechanics shop. Only reason I'm selling this Excursion is I have accumulated too many vehicles and have to get rid of some because of limited parking spaces.. Lol.. It needs very very very little to no work on it to make it pretty perfect (there is a small 1"scratch/dent on the rear passenger door, you can see on photo), I truly believe this Excursion has many many miles of dependable driving and fun road trips left on it. The Excursion has 190,325 miles, 85% of that was city driving to my office and back for the past 14yrs (about a little over 11k mi a year) and the additional 15% were road trips. All it needs is a new caring owner!
