Just passed CA smog with no issues, registration paid through July 2016. White exterior, beige cloth interior in great shape, no rips/tears or strong smells. 251,870 highway miles are up there, but they were easy miles (previous owner commuted between Sacramento and Oakland).Michelin Primacy tires only have about 20% life left, some minor cracks in the sidewalls.Weather package (heated seats and side mirrors, weather band radio) Manual transmission was replaced at 219k miles. Maintenance has been done on time which is also reflected in the Carfax report. Done in last 3k miles: 4-wheel alignment, new front rotors and rear brake pads A/C blows cold! The system was also charged in the last 3k miles. I have had the car for 2 years (purchased at Fremont Auto World). The only thing I've done are oil changes, professionally installed tint on the passenger rear and back hatch windows, and added a properly fused 12-volt socket (the original one wasn't working). Everything works well except on some drives, the clutch pedal does not return on its own (this is apparently due to a $30-55 clutch slave cylinder that needs replacing). Most drives I do not have this issue but when it happens, I just use my toe to nudge the pedal a bit.The car does have a salvage title due to a mild fender bender (see last 2 photos - these are the BEFORE photos, not what the car looks like now) and in fact the hood was never replaced. The hood, all 4 doors, and trunk are original (see VIN pics)! So you can feel comfortable that the car has never been in a bad wreck. The Carfax history is good - made sure of this when I bought the car and I would not have gotten it if I didn't have a sense of what the prior damage was. It is mechanically in very good condition and the engine / transmission / clutch feel great. I drive the car a few times a week and the car drives great. Cosmetically there are some issues. The paint is overall in great shape (looks to have been garaged or waxed by prev owner). However there is a good sized dent (2-in.) on the front hood from the fender bender, and the driver's side fender has some paint chipping. Minor door dings present on the other doors. Bumpers have some paint flex cracks. The weather stripping on the driver's door is a little loose so the wind whistles when you drive at higher speeds. With the exception of the good paint quality, I think the exterior flaws are reasonable for a daily-driven, 14-year old car. I am only selling the car to replace with an automatic trans car so my wife can also drive. Car comes with the original owner's manual and booklets, scissor jack and tools, retractable cargo cover and rubber trunk mat. Now has California Catalytic Converters and Smog Certification!We bought this all wheel drive car when it had 115,000 miles on it and knew we could drive it for many many years if we did the major work all of these cars need at that point. Therefore, when we bought it we put over $3000 into by having our Subaru dealer pull the engine out and replace the head gasket, water pump, all belts, hoses, etc. The car has performed flawlessly since because we always did the major services it needed, e.g, tune ups, spark plugs, wires, front end work,coolant flushes, transmission fluid changes, and of course oil changes every 3000 miles. I have all the service records to document this. I just put new front Struts on last month and aligned it: a $750 service. The car has four new Bridgestone Ecopas on it that we bought at Costco at a cost of $530. Has a new removable face plate Bluetooth hands free cell phone link CD system with aux input and usb charger port. The car runs perfectly,is ready to go and will go for many more miles because of the money that we always put into it.
