I am selling this 1959 Studebaker Lark VIII 4 Door Hardtop for a friend. The car has the 259 V-8 engine with automatic transmission. The battery and tires are like new. The chrome trim and wheel covers are in beautiful condition. The car is very clean, and is ready for a show or as a fun driver. It is fun to drive, gets lots of attention going down the road. It is ready to get in and drive home. No fluid leaks can be seen. The car starts easily, accelerates smoothly and shifts well. All of the gauges work properly, but the radio doesn't work. The carpet is original and in good clean condition. The headliner is original, clean and tight. The seats and door panels appear to be original and are in great shape. Some of the original clear vinyl seat covers, popular in the 50's, are still on the seats as you can see. The floors and trunk are in fantastic shape, The paint is new, original color. The trunk is full of extra parts collected by the owner. THE CAR IS BEING SOLD AS-IS, WHERE IS. It is up to you to determine the condition of the car and you must rely on your own assessment of the vehicle before you choose to bid. If you have a feedback score of 5 or less, please contact me before bidding or we will be forced to cancel your bid. The winning bidder has up to three weeks to remove the car from the premises from the date of auction close. A 20% deposit is due within 3 days of auction close via PayPal. 1960 Studebaker Lark VIII Barn Find Up for sale is this 1960 Studebaker Lark VIII. An incredible find. The condition is as shown and I think the pictures describe it better than I could!!! It is WELL above average. Glass is all clear all around (no milky fogged out corners or damage) This car does not run - however it does crank / turns over but there is no spark. This is a highly desirable color combination - very sexy!! The interior looks like you went into a time machine to 1960 showroom. The headliner, front seats, rear seats, dash, glove box - the entire interior - LIKE NEW!! The V8 engine was rebuilt 1,000 miles ago and this car has sat since 1999. I took off the valve covers and the heads are like new (see images) I suspect it has bad gas (clog) and no spark at this time - Engine is a period replacement 1960 V8 done right - 3 speed on the column w/OD. This car will run with some tweaking - I am selling as is - no warranty or guarantees - must be picked up in NJ. Tires are dry rotted somewhat. Pick up Only - 15 Minutes from NYC908-943-6131

0 0 1 209 1195 Ebby Halliday, Preston Center 9 2 1402 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE The original factory yellow paint is showing no signs of repair and no significant dents. Minor rust in the body is confined to the area behind the bumper and above the exhaust. Other minor rust is found in a few spots in the trunk and floorboards. The now great running engine had been rebuilt in the past but never run until my ownership. New parts include, water pump, belts and hoses, fuel pump, plugs and wires. The original radiator was reconditioned, the fuel tank was cleaned, and the exhaust was repaired. All brake hydraulics were rebuilt and shoes were replaced where needed. Both the front and rear seats were professionally recovered, the power top system was made to work with a new pump, hoses and rams. Both the front and rear bumpers have been re-plated. The car starts quickly, runs, drives, stops, the steering is tight, three of the four windows roll up and down as intended and all of the doors-trunk and hood fit well. The one mechanical problem not addressed is the driveshaft that bangs the under side and appears to be to short. The headlights, taillights, brake lights and interior lights are working, there is no radio or antenna and there is no fabric at all on the top frame. This is an original, fine, straight and solid car that needs restoration. Clear Texas title in my name. I will sell either of the two cars for $6,000.00 or I will sell the pair for $11,000.00. After my last experience with an insane Studebaker fan, I have decided not to risk using the auction format. Pete @ 214-505-5005
