The time has come for me to sell my beloved 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis. Having only recently arrived in California, this car has been driven gently, garage kept, and very well maintained. Thanks to regular servicing, the 4.6 liter Ford V8 and automatic transmission run like new and perform well both in town and on the highway. In fact, when I had the car smog-tested in late September, I was told by the technician that she blew cleaner than the 2007 BMW that tested before me! The dark blue paint has been cared for and is in surprisingly good shape for its age. The vehicle has no rust and only sports a few small dings, scratches, swirl-marks, and chips. The two-tone leather and blue cloth interior are in very good shape and the 8-way power seats, power windows, and power locks work brilliantly. Furthermore, the air conditioner works like a dream, the heater is so toasty that it could melt lead, and the radio, though original, is surprising good. There is a minor ding on the front right bumper - I've even posted a zoom in of this so you can see it's barely noticeable.2. The handbrake release is a slightly loose and needs pulling hard to release.3. The car is debadged ( the original owner didn't want the attention - though the AMG wheels, exhaust pipes, seats and engine are all dead giveaways ).4. There was an issue where one of the seats might have been eating into the battery when it was low, so I disconnected them. I have gotten a new battery though not tried reconnecting the seats to confirm if this issue still exists. I am the second owner of the car and got it from the first owner when it was at 16K miles - he was a personal friend who was moving out of the US, and I had to coax him really hard to persuade him to give me this car. I love this car though got a Tesla and kept it around given how much I like it, though I just don't end up using it often enough so I've decided to sell it. Other than that, it's an awesome balance of luxury and power at a dirt cheap price for what you get.
