Before you start reading all the good stuff about this car, please note... This car has a manual stick-shift transmission. Sadly, it seems like driving stick is a dying art. If you cannot drive stick/manual, or you're not willing to learn, this is not the right car for you. OK, on to the good stuff. BASICS Acura TL, 2006 88,176 miles (as of November 11th, the time I stopped using this as my primary car) Redondo Red Pearl exterior Beige leather interior Moon Roof Manual 6-speed transmission 23 mpg normal driving. 28 mpg highway (this is from my own real-life experience, not the published specs). VIN: 19UUA65516A063327 HIGHLIGHTS Very low mileage for a car that's 10 years old. My commute to work is only 2 miles. Factory GPS navigation system built into the dash. Works great. Premium sound system with XM satellite radio. Sounds great. Bluetooth link for hands-free phone. Works great. Tire Pressure sensors in all four tires. Monitor them year-round with the reading on the dashboard. iPod link in glove compartment. Leather front & back seats. Both front seats are heated. Dual-zone climate control. Factory trunk liner & cargo nets. MAINTENANCE I take very good care of my cars. Please see the attached maintenance log for details. I have never had any serious problems with this car - everything has been regular stuff that you expect to wear out. I spent over $1,000 on Goodyear Comfort Tread tires about 35,000 miles ago. They are designed to ride extra quiet. They are nice. One of the tires got damaged, and I had to replace it about 9,000 miles ago. So that one is much newer. I spent over $1,800 on a new clutch just 5,000 miles ago. I spent $1,500 on totally new brakes all around just 3,000 miles ago, so they will be good for a long time. MAINTENANCE DIAGNOSTICS In October 2016, we checked this car with a computer diagnostic tool - the same thing the pros use to plug into your car and scan for maintenance codes. We confirmed there are no codes displaying to indicate any problems. So, the computer analysis shows this car is totally healthy. FLAWS Not many. This car has been wonderful for me for a long time. There is a crack in the rear bumper where I got rear-ended at very low speed. I had it evaluated at a professional body shop (will provide documentation to you if you'd like) and they said it was purely cosmetic. The other driver wanted to keep it off their insurance, so I took the cash and never had it repaired. I've been covering it up with a bumper sticker. Otherwise, just normal wear and tear on the car. There are a few dings in the paint that I covered up with a factory-match paint repair kit (included with sale). There are a few scuffs on the interior, but nothing serious. The floor mats have seen normal wear, especially from our salty winters. WHY ARE YOU SELLING? This has been a great car for me for a long time, with no serious maintenance hassles. That's why I bought an Acura to begin with - their reputation for excellent reliability. I'm selling because I needed something with more cargo space. I'm driving a hatchback now. BOOK VALUE If you buy from a used car retailer, Edmunds says you would expect to pay around $9,000. If you buy from a private seller like me, Edmunds says $7,300, and Kelly Blue Book says $7,400. ASKING PRICE Since I have been so good with maintenance, and the clutch and brakes are so new, I'm asking $8,000. I am willing to negotiate with a serious buyer.
