Rolls-Royce : Other 4 DOOR 1979 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith II (Long Wheel Base) ONLY 34,300 ACTUAL MILES Books/Records/Tools and Jack Babied and well maintanied since it came home from the dealership, this Rolls has been serviced at every scheduled interval at the local Rolls dealer Braman Motors in Miami, Florida. At the time these Wraiths were the most expensive of the Rolls Royce Motorcar line. All were hand built of which 2145 were produced and only 624 making it to the US market. It is complemented by a tan top and a monotone tan leather interior with a beautiful Acrylic White exterior. As you can see in the pictures the car is spectacularly preserved, the wood trims are all rich and free of cracks or fading. The leather is plush and lovely along with the wool headliner and carpets. The car runs soft and smooth, the transmission shifts perfectly and the ac blows cold. This is a Florida owned car and was maintained correctly as shown in the service stamps. This rolls has been gone through and everything that was always serviced as needed was always addressed on time. It has always been garaged and it shows. The leather is all original with no dryness or cracking, the wood is in great condition as well. It is complete with original owners manuals, brochures, original rear foot rests, and incredible service history. The car is all matching numbers. Constant development had resulted in a variety of improvements having been incorporated into the models from the Silver Shadow range. Having added a few important new features was the reason why Rolls-Royce choose new designations for models delivered from February 1977 onward. As the mainstream model the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II substituted the previous model and the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II was added. The latter's long wheelbase offered four inches more space for rear seat passengers and in fact this model was the successor of the Silver Shadow long wheelbase. The new rack and pinion steering in combination with a modified front suspension reacted more quickly than the recirculating ball steering of the earlier models. All in all however these were interim models helping to bridge the gap until a new model generation was developed for production. The best part about this generation of Rolls Royce are that they were built to last forever if maintained correctly. They have an absolute indestructible engine, The next owner of this Wraith II will be very pleased and proud to own it. Color Exterior: Dark Blue / Black Interior: Light Grey / Blue Piping The following was taken from an appraisal report dated 2007. Not much has changed. Exterior CosmeticsThe coachwork is in very good to excellent condition; no dings, dents or misalignments noted on the body other than some scratches on rear passenger side fender. The paintwork is in very good original condition with only someminor blemishes and cracking. The brightwork is in very good to excellent condition including the window frames, bumpers, mascot and grille. The wheels and tires (new) are correct and in very good condition. The rubber window and door seals are in very good condition. The side glass, rear glass and front windscreen are in very good condition. Interior Cosmetics, Boot and TrunkAll interior materials are correct and in very good to excellent condition. The leather seats and door panels are in very good condition. The wool headliner is in very goodcondition. The wool carpets are in very good condition showing only some signs of normal wear. The wood dash, door cap rails and rear cabinetry are in very goodcondition. The under-dash hand tools are complete and in very good condition. The boot is in very good condition and included all road tools. Engine Bay and UndercarriageThe engine bay is in very good original condition with normal wear and paint degrading for the age. No indications of any major leaks or electrical problems. No signs ofmodifications or missing items were evident in the engine compartment. The undercarriage looked solid with no major indications of rust or collisions. MechanicalNo comprehensive tests were performed on the electrical, mechanical, drive train or brakes. However, I witnessed the car being started and driven and it appeared to be inproper operating condition. The gauges, electrical switches and lights all worked properly. The engine, brakes, suspension, transmission and electrical systems appear tobe in correct and proper operating condition. Overall AssessmentBuilt in the United Kingdom from 1946 to 1959, the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraiths were the factory coach built vehicles. Hooper bodied vehicles were very well made and thecoachbuilders to the Royal Family at the time. The quality and reputation can make these hand-built vehicles highly prized by collector car enthusiasts. Rolls-Royce motor cars are known for appointing the finest materials available. This vehicle is a very well maintained example of a Right-Hand Drive 4-door touring limousine. The vehicle is invery good to excellent overall condition Nevertheless, due to the high cost of repairs, parts and materials these vehicles can quickly lose their value if left to deteriorate. Theextent of mechanical issues is beyond the scope of this appraisal. However, it appears that this car is in exceptional operating condition with no significant cosmetic or mechanical flaws evident. The car, when viewed, looked and ran remarkably well. The high quality of care and maintenance this car received was apparent throughout the vehicle. Any future owner would surely appreciate the style and original condition of this classic Rolls-Royce. These motor cars have a large following and increase in value on a regular basis due to their limited production and current demand, outstanding style and quality. This car is available for immediate purchase. Inspection is welcomed.
