1954 356 Pre A Cab # 60584 The car in manufactured in July 1954 189 of 327 cab manufacturer that year. I found the car in a garage under a pile of boxes. It ran 3 cylinders and no brakes. I bought the car 5/17/91. In the next 2 yr. the car was completely disassemble and restored. the paint was down to the metal leaving the factory lead, all rust was repaired. The engine, transaxle, front and brakes were replaced with 1965 356 parts. The engine (P*71368*) was balance, line bored, 1750 pistons, crank hardened, rebuilt heads, Weber carbs.. Brakes front and back are disk. The car was not cut up. Parts were bolted in. except for the mounts for the transaxle were welded in. I have all the original part except the engine. I do have a engine that is 50 number off (P*41407*) the case is wrong, this engine is out of a 55 pre coup.. The paint is vary good shape. close up you can see small rock chips. The body was clear coated about 5 yr. ago. The engine sheet metal was powder coated 2 yr. ago. The seats, mat, & door panels are in excellent shape. The stock gas & heat gauges do not work. If you want a stock car the part mention available to purchase. From the street the car looks stock, except wheels & hub caps. Original part are $ 15,000.00.
