Up for sale is a classic 1980 Porsche 924 Turbo. 2.0L, 5-speed stick shift, with great 26mpg. If you don't already know, in the four model years of the 924 turbo (79-83), a total of only 6795 were ever exported to the U.S. Please do some internet research on the rarity of this car, and check the NADA blue book yourself to verify it's current value. The price is way below the current blue book price, and you can drive this car home anywhere. This spring, due to the settlement of an estate, we found ourselves proud owners of this garage kept Porsche, that had been Grampa's baby. It has barely been driven in the last 5 or more years, just a few miles each summer, by an aging non-smoking retiree. With winter now upon us, we need the garage space more than we need this extra toy. Accordingly, we have priced the car very reasonably. This car is mechanically sound and very dependable, it does not leak oil, it does not overheat, transmission shifts smoothly in all gears. It always starts right up and drives straight, it both runs and handles like new, and is fun too! The color is gray, with black interior. No rust or dents. The hood is a matte black with the factory turbo scoop. The interior looks great. The seats aren't ripped/torn, door panels are fine, headliner is fine, carpet is like new. It comes with the factory Porsche floor mats too, both are in nice condition. Back seat looks like it's never even been used. All of the options work (clock, pwr windows, pwr mirrors, headlight doors, rear defrost and wiper, pwr antenna, etc.), and all glass is good. The car also has the rare A/C, although it's not blowing cold and could use a recharge. Rear seat folds forward to create larger cargo area. The pull out rear seat cargo screen is in great shape also, like it's rarely ever been pulled out. It has new rear hatch support shocks, so there's no problems with the hatchback staying up. All new front brakes, including both rotors & brake cylinders. Car drives very tight, just like a Porsche should. Car also comes with factory sunroof, that doesn't leak, and even includes the factory sunroof storage case, as seen in pics. The radio is the original Blauplunkt am/fm. The wheels are the higher end, factory custom Porsche rims with very good tread on the tires. This is a NO RESERVE auction. I have 100% LIFETIME feedback as a seller, so no worries here. Up for bidding is a factory slant nose 1985.5 Porsche 944, 2.5L, 5-speed stick shift, with great 25mpg. Please do not bid unless you already have the funds. As the last would-be buyer found out, any deposit made will be forfeited if the sale is not completed. This spring, due to the settlement of an estate, we found ourselves proud owners of this lifetime California Porsche, which has had only 1 adult owner. It was just shipped to us this March, and is completely rust free, with extremely low original mileage. It has never seen snow or salt, at all, in it's lifetime. If you don't already know, please do some internet research to fully understand the huge differences in the 1985 Porsche 944 model year. In a rarely seen automotive move, Porsche fully changed the 944 in the middle of the 1985 model year. This is the later half 1985 model with a slew of pricey factory upgrades, from the complete suspension to the complete interior. You do not want an early 1985 or prior year 944! This Porsche spent years in long term indoor storage. When it was brought out of storage a few years ago, it was mechanically restored to factory new. I have all of the original California based receipts to show that thousands of dollars in mechanical work was done since that time to fix any and all issues to make it mechanically perfect. This car really is minted out mechanically, with anything that even looked old being replaced. Car is very mechanically sound, with strong responsive engine, it does not leak oil, it does not overheat, transmission shifts smoothly in all gears. It always starts right up and drives straight, it both runs and handles like new. You just won't believe how well it drives and rides! The interior burgundy Recaro seats, door panels, and carpet are great. All of the options work (clock, windows, locks, cruise, pwr seat, sunroof, air, headlight doors, etc.), and all glass is good. The a/c is ICE COLD. Car drives very tight, just like a Porsche should. Car comes with factory sunroof (can lift up or remove), JVC cd player with Alpine speakers, the car was factory black and the body has been Plasti-coat upgraded in a stylish satin black look. All 4 tires are brand new. It also comes with the original Porsche factory owners manual. The body does have a couple minor parking lot kind of dings as would be expected with a 1985 car. The dash top does have some minor typical Porsche cracking, but the few dash cracks are thin, not some monster gorges with foam sticking out. Overall, while not showroom perfect, you would be hard pressed to find a lower original mileage and completely rust free 944 anywhere. The car shows very well and looks quite impressive for 30 years old. You can drive it home anywhere. Please check out the NADA blue book value on this car, as the price is way below the current "average retail" price. This is a NO RESERVE auction.
