Standard equipment includes the Automatic Climate control, Power Sunroof, Fog lights, 18” 5-spoke light alloy wheels (Michelin Pilot Sport shod), 3-spoke steering wheel, Monoblock 4-piston anti-lock brakes, Porsche Stability Management, and of course that race bred 3.6L 325hp flat six engine driving the rear wheels through a 6-spd manual transaxle. The Artic Silver paint on this particular 997 has absolutely no environmental paint damage from acid rain or bird droppings, and has a high gloss shine from ever angle. It just has perfect paint from very careful ownership. Amazingly, there doesn’t appear be any UV fading of the plastic trim pieces either! It has undeniable spent all it’s life garaged and under a cover. Additionally there isn’t a single ding or evidence of any ding repair ever being performed anywhere on the car. With the exception of a small number of imperfections (all very small and difficult to see) in the nose area from regular use, the exterior of this Carrera is perfect. The 18" light alloy wheels are free from any defects or curb rash, and have been inspected for lateral runout, with all 4 wheels being at .01" or .254mm well inside Porsche spec of .028" or .7mm max permissible. They wear Michelin Pilot Sport tires with about 80% tread depth. The oil and filter have been changed within the last 1k miles, and the gearbox oil has been changed within the last 5k miles. The spark plugs and all the coil packs have been replaced within the last 10k, as well as the having the MAF sensor and throttle body cleaned. It has a new correct size Intersate battery. This Carrera is ready to be driven and enjoyed, and needs absolutely nothing. The Black leather interior, featuring heated dual power seats w/lumbar, is just as clean, and shows virtually no wear on the seats, controls or carpets. With the exception of a small amount of wear on the drivers seat side bolster, the inside of the car looks new. It features a black Alcantara headliner as well for a contemporary look. The traditional 5-gauge 911 instrument layout, and classic dash board design returned in the 997 series, and is instantly familiar, as well as the single round headlight design and curvy body of the classic 911. The standard Carrera Coupe has a slightly slimmer rear end (2 inches narrower in the hips) than the “S” or “4S”, and in my opinion is much prettier and well proportioned like the early 911's. This combined with the square oval stainless steel exhaust outlets make for a cleaner look at the rear to go along with that pretty face. It just works from any angle. This car is already classic! With just 68k miles, this Carrera Coupe is in perfect mechanical condition with extensive maintenance records and documentation of obsessive care. This is a stunning example of a 2006 Porsche Cayman S, and I have owned the car two years. I am the second owner and I purchased the car with 12,170 miles from the original owner. It is a loaded car with PASM, Sport Chrono Package Plus, Bose Surround Sound System, TPMS, Sport Steering Wheel, Heated Seats, PCM 2.1 (Porsche Communication Management), Bi-Xenon Headlamp Package, 19" Carrera S Wheels, and black mats with Porsche lettering. The original sticker is laminated and is included along with both keys, valet key, Porsche Car Cover, along with all books and service records. The exterior color is arctic silver with black standard leather / black interior. I searched for over six months for a car with very low mileage, impeccable condition, and as close to this option combination before I found this car. I came very close to buying a Boxster Spyder but the Pre Purchase Inspection was not glowing so I settled on this car. My plan is to find the right Boxster Spyder if the Cayman sells…but, I'm not in a hurry to sell. The Cayman S is a fun weekend car for me on pretty days. The car is not driven in the rain by me and it shows, especially the undercarriage - the original owner said he had driven once in the rain. Although this may not be important to some people evaluating this Cayman S, there are some folks out there looking for as close to new as possible. The Porsche Cayman S may be the best sports car for the money currently available on the used market - the steering and handling is so connected to the road - almost old school and reminds me of the connection to the road feel of the 993. The car is so balanced…the mid engine design is very rewarding in the twisties. Obviously there are newer and more powerful cars available, but I think the design of the first generation Cayman will be a classic years from now. Time will tell. My Cayman S is always kept in a climate controlled garage. The paint is as new and shows very well in person (harder to photograph with the iPhone though). I had a PPI completed when I purchased the car and will help facilitate this for a potential buyer if requested and at their expense. All service is up to date as of today as I had the oil and filter changed at Tom Williams Porsche in Birmingham, Alabama. The previous owner had the car serviced at the Sewickley Porsche Dealer in Sewickley, PA. The Michelin tires appear to have 50-60% left in the rear, and 80-85% in the front. The meticulous side of me wants to point out the imperfections as the car does have close to 15,000 miles. The state of PA mandates a front license plate so it has been drilled. Bumper plugs are available if you wish to cover them up. There are minor rock chips on the front as the car did not have a clear bra installed when purchased. It is probably a good thing as they typically have to be replaced after 10-12 years. One of the wheels has a minor blemish from the previous owner, but it is hard to see. All in all, this Porsche is in fantastic shape to be almost 10 years old. As a real car enthusiast I know how difficult is can be to buy a car in a different state so if you are serious about the car I will happily discuss the car in detail as well as provide additional photos and videos as requested. The goal is for this car to change hands to another enthusiast who will enjoy the car and both parties are happy with the transaction. Thank you.
