2000 Porsche Boxster SS 3.4ltr, 5-spd, 315 HPThis 2000 Boxster started life as base 2.7ltr from 2000, with a 5-speed manual transmission and an E-gas throttle. It is Alpine White with a blue top and interior. In 2005 (at 35k miles) the original engine was swapped out for the much more powerful Carrera 996 3.4ltr motor. The original programming of the DME for the upgrade was performed by FVD, with recent upgrades by Softronics. In 2005, this engine upgrade cost over $20k to have done, as it included the DME programming, engine, mounts, sport clutch, high flow intake, etc. It is, and always has been, a rust free vehicle., so when the factory engine no longer functioned this upgrade was the obvious way to go.It currently has a full Cayman exhaust. it originally had Schnell headers on it, but had to remove them for the California visual part of the smog inspection. It had to have all 4 Cats. Previous owner purchased the car at 35k miles and it now has 92k. the engine is about the same. 11 years of faithful service as a regular commuter (60 miles round trip). Was just was offered a 997 Turbo at a deal I cannot refuse, so I need to make the room. The body is in excellent shape with only one small door ding in the rear fender and minor parking bumper ding on lower front spoiler. Rest of the body panels are great.Overall, this is a rocket ship and BLAST to drive. The car is docile enough to drive everyday, yet put your foot down and it shoots forward with force. The mid-engine design makes this handle like a dream and the extra power just makes it that much more fun. I have owned a number of Porsches in my life, and this might be one of my favorites (ok, make that the best all around) I've owned. Additional featuresIt has cruise control, but to be honest, I usually do not use it. Tested it the other day and does not seem to engage. Will leave it to next owner to repair or leave.AC is ICE COLD! Automatic Climate controlThe wheels were a rare option at the time. They are Hockenhiem design, a 17" upgrade.There is no smoke, ever, out the exhaust that I have seen. Never raced, street or track.High Flow IntakeNew Optima battery installed, lighter and higher capacity than factory, with no acid or filling requirements. Clean no-accident CarFax. Maintenance: No CEL lights have ever come on in the 11 years since the conversion. The oil has always been changed every 5,000 miles with Mobil 1 and factory Mann filters. New fuel pump, AOS (air-oil separator), oil filler tube, and coolant reservoir tank in 2016. (typical Boxster problems)New front Metal Master brake pads. New front hood releaseTemp gauge reads actual temperature, not stuck at 180 until too late like factory. It now peaks out at about 200 when both fans are on. New Sumitomo HTZ lll tires in the back (one month old) and fronts are Continental Extreme Contact and about 1/3 gone. The serpentine belt and spark plugs were replaced at 80k. What does it need?Not much other than a driver!The interior is in good condition except for the driver's seat which has some MINOR bolster leather cracking. (typical). Not torn, just cracked. See picture, not very bad, but there.Never has had IMS issues, so never had any upgrades done. It has the optional cup holder console, but the plastic hinge is broken.The rear window is clouded up, so visibility through it is at times can be challenging. It is the second top the car has had in the 16 years of its life, so not surprising. Doesn't leak and looks decent overall. SummaryUpgrading from a weak 217HP motor to the 3.4ltr 315HP version transformed the Boxster into what it should have been originally. It took Porsche over 10 years to realize this.The Boxster is completely California legal and passes emissions so low they have trouble measuring it.Previous owner was very happy with the conversion for over 11 years, and it was extremely well done conversion. The car has only 8,500 miles. This is a second generation Boxster with third generation engine (2.7L, 240 BHP) which I bought new on 10/28/2005. Beyond all standard options it has the Preferred Package (heated seats, self dimming mirrors, sound package plus, rain sensor, floor mats, wheel caps with colored crest), Automatic Climate Control, Aluminum Roll Bar look, Chrome exhaust pipe. I have all related sales literature, the original window sticker showing all standard and optional equipment as well as the price - $48,000. I also have a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity signed by CEO of Porsche Cars of North America, Inc. The car was stored every winter in a heated garage under the soft flannel cover (every 4-6 weeks it was started). It was driven only once in the rain, first year in order to check if there is any leak and if rain sensitive wipers work. The car was driven only on weekends and in nice dry weather for a few hours at the time. The rest of the week it was stored in the garage. So it has seen only very limited hours of the sun. This car was always gently driven. Most of the time top was up (due to my wife’s allergies) and with being rarely in the sun it looks just like a brand new. This is a non-smoker car which still even smells like a new car (no kidding). As matter of the fact the car was washed only 12 times! I always personally washed the car and in a very special way in order to avoid any potential micro abrasions due to washing off particles of the dust. Every fall, all the rubber seals were wiped off with the silicone lubricant in order to keep them pliable (I intended for that car to last a very long time!). There are no any parking dings, scratches or stone chips anywhere on the car. The wheel rims are without any blemish. Interior is also in absolute pristine condition with no any sign of wear. There are no any scuffs on the door sills. Carpets are like new, I always used a small rug over the original carpet mat. I have all service records (one recall and all time phase service like the oil change, brake fluid change and even spark plugs were changed). It has a new battery. My primary reasons for buying this great car (only one Porsche car in production designed from scratch as an convertible!) was to one day pass it to my son with super low mileage and in an absolute pristine condition. However, recently he does not show any interest in getting (and keeping) this car! Furthermore, beyond having severe allergies, my wife complains, more and more, that the car is too low, too stiff and too loud (of course she is comparing it to our Audi A8 car!). By the way, Porsche Boxster has a double insulated top fabric and is one of the quietest convertible around. So, with a real mixed feeling I am selling it. I am selling it for $28,000. I feel it is the right price for my car considering how the car was used and cared for. The third generation Boxster was introduced in USA in 2013; based on my research of all second generation cars offered for sale in Autotrader very few cars have less than 15k miles, probably none is cared for as great as mine was and all of those cars are $10-20k higher. Also, since the new like this car costs over $56,000 my car appears to be a real bargain.$500 payable immediately via PayPal, the rest via personal check. The title transfer and picking up the car after the check clears my bank. If necessary, due to snow/salt on the road I can keep the car in my garage up to 2 months.

I have a mint 2006 Porsche Boxster S with only 20,700 miles, and one year remaining on the BUMPER TO BUMPER Porsche certified used car warranty for the buyer. I purchased it from the Bluegrass Porsche in Louisville, KY with 17,500 miles. They had received it in trade from the original owner's daughter. It has been maintained according to Porsche recommendations by the dealership and never wrecked. I have kept it in my garage since buying it last September. It is a 6 speed manual and extras include chrome exhaust pipes, Bose speaker system, a transparent plastic bra which keeps rocks from dinging the front end (an expensive add on I was told). It is advertised as running a zero to sixty in 5.5 seconds with a top end over 150 mph. With the high performance tires that were new when I purchased it, it handles and corners like nothing I have ever driven. This was a "bucket list" thing for me, and now I must regrettably sell it.
