Porsche Boxster 2001 S Roadster For Sale Best Offer! Engine runs, but needs repairs Well, here beholds our beloved Porsche Boxster S that we have owned for almost 10 years. It has taken us everywhere and we absolutely adore this baby. I tried to do what I can to fix it up and put a lot of time and money already into it. Sadly, a bigger problem arized with it and we came to the realization of how expensive it is to fix it and out of our technician expertise. As you can see, this was going to be a project car and I was planning on customizing making it one of a kind. With the problems that have ocurred though, I just do not have the time anymore to work on this car and completely restore it. It is just sitting there now and I truly want it to have a new home with someone who can bring it back on the road. This is the 2001 Porsche Boxster S with the 3.2 L engine. It comes in a beautiful Ferrari Yellow color (as told when we purchased) and the interior is all black. This car engine runs great, but the only problem is that the head gasket is broken/popped off and needs to be replaced. It is VERY expensive and costs thousands of dollars to perform due to labor. So, this would be a perfect investment for a mechanic who knows how to work with Porsche and can fix it yourself. Here is a short video of how the car looks like all around and how the engine sounds upon start. As you can see, it runs pretty good, but cannot be driven longs periods of time as the head gasket is broken and can cause the car to spew white/grey smoke. In the video, the smoke is not present and seems to be random. However, if you do leave the engine on for 5 minutes plus, smoke will start to be present. Once again, this car is NOT a car that can be bought and driven!! It MUST be repaired first, the head gasket which is the main problem with this car before it can be driven. Please understand that what you see is what you get. This car is NOT meant for someone who is looking for a daily driver. It is a car that needs to be repaired. We are the third owners of this car since around 2005 and have a clear title of this car in hand. The previous owners of this car really messed it up a lot and we had to fix it up many times. It really is a beauty and it just sucks that it had to have such expensive problems. I would love to keep it forever, but at the moment, I just don't have the time and need to clear up space for our driveway. Car has had services done before including flushing the oil out. We have recently flushed out the oil and added brand new oil at least half a year ago. Some other components and parts about the car that needs to be repaired - One cupholder is broken- The seats power function is broken- Windshield fluid tank has a hole- Middle compartment hinge Body of the car also has a couple of dents and scratches.
