This s a nice 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo otherwise known as the 951. The car has recently been repainted in the factory guards red color using high quality PPG paints and materials. The Porsche runs well and was intended to be a minor restoration project of my own. I have decided to move on and pass the car along to another 944 fan. The Porsche still has the factory original interior that is in good condition and comes equipped with the rare sport seat option. Seats are in fair shape and look presentable as does the rest of the interior.The dash is cracked in several places as most are and has a dash cover. There are services available now to repair these dash pads for a relatively good price which is what I had planned to have done. I have not done a timing belt service and have no record of when it was done last. Needless to say this was and is on the top of my list of maintenance items. The clutch has been replaced and should last many years. This is a major service on these cars much more expensive that the timing belt. Some noise in the front suspension is evident but it is tight and feels good. A squeak sound really not a rattle or loose sound. The exhaust has been cut at some point and an after market muffler is installed. Sounds fine not loud or obtrusive. The whole job could have been done better though as the exhaust is hung a bit tight to the bottom of the car and sometimes hits the chassis for a thump. Easily fixed item. Please as reasonable questions as I have been as honest as I could be about this car. I have owned several 944 models and know the cars well. This is a very good car with an excellent paint not a scratch. As stated still needs minor cosmetics and maintenance. I am not the original owner nor do I know the cars history. I purchsed it from a private party locally near my home in the Chicago suburbs. The car seems to have lead a fairly good life but as I said no records of maintenance. The car is currently in winter storage near my home and not being driven during the winter months. I have owned the car for less than 1 year I own several classic German cars this being one of them.

Hello, what I have for sale is a very rare car indeed. I am selling a 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo S. The car is in excellent condition. It is black on black. Car runs like a bat out of hell new car like it just left Stuggart Germany. Porsche only made 1385 of these cars for 1989. It was the last year they made these car for North America, but one more year in other countries. I am the 4th owner of this vehicle and I have all the service records since new. I've own this car since June of 1995. The car has never seen rain or snow under my ownership. This car spent most of it's life in a garage since I've owned it. Wife hates the car and since I'm a family man now, she states that the car must go or I go. I love this car with a passion and it's the fastest car I've ever own. It is all original except the wheels and radio. I put 18 inch Speedline wheels on my car and it looks unique. Speedline is an Italian company that makes wheels for Porsche and Ferrari. The wheels cost me almost $8,000 including tires. These are the same wheels you see from the movie Bad Boys on the 1994 black Porsche 911 turbo S. These wheels are no longer available and are discontinued. The radio is an Alpine in the car. This Porsche also have a very rare option for the car which is a factory Porsche phone. This was a $5,000 option back then when requesting this option. The only thing this car needs is a new clutch. I can feel the clutch is starting to slip, but the car is totally driveable. The car has a clean carfax and a clean clear title. As a bonus I will how ever include a brand new in the box Alpine cda 7998 radio if the buyer choose the buy it now option only. New rotors and brake pads, hydraulic system flush with new clutch slave and master cylinders, cam and balance shaft belts changed year ago with new rollers and waterpump, just installed elcantara suede fabric dash,a- pillars and roof looks amazing and gives no reflections on windshield which is perfect on a sunny day, car has limited slip 220 differential 40% from factory, spare parts: original us spec bumper with rubber pads, original rear rubber wing, new fuel filter, timing belt kit with rollers, special tools for timing belt job included i can add 3 cup2 17" porsche wheels.

On offer is my Zagatt Silver 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo (Type 951) with 122k miles in fantastic condition.It’s a very clean, well-documented, well-maintained, well-sorted driver with no modifications. Always garaged. Re-Spray paint (9.5/10), very minimal dash cracks. New tires with 90%+ remaining. It has spent most of its life in Texas. The last 3 years it has been in a Western Chicago Illinois suburb where it has been stored from Nov-May during the winter. During the warm driving months it has never seen rain. I and my 6 year old son love this classic supercar and wish it could stay in my garage for years to come, but I must sell to fund another classic car with an automatic transmission. My wife would like to spend more time with us at car shows and refuses to learn and drive a manual transmission. The saddest part is, I also have some health problems that cause me to have some pain driving a manual transmission car. The car has seen a great amount of care and maintenance in the past as well. I bought it in July 2011 from a friend and co-worker who lives in Texas. I knew the car for years before I acquired it, so when he offered it to me, I knew I had to purchase the car The records folder is thick. The previous owner is PCA member and had painstakingly approached his ownership of this car as do I, like the previous owners, with a near-open checkbook policy to maintain it. The last owner, kept it in storage and drove it every week for many years. During my ownership I unfortunately drove it less. Just never seemed to have the time or the weather was bad and didn't want to take it out for a drive. It’s been treated like a fine classic German sports-car. Pictures don’t do this car justice! Don’t get me wrong, the car looks great in the pics, but looks spectacular in person. The paint was re-sprayed approx. 4 years ago in the original color of Zagatt Silver. Then, many many hours were spent wet-sanding. There are a couple very small imperfections in the paint. Two of which were the result of the wet-sanding going too far into the paint.
