1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am 20th Anniversary Pace Car This is a very clean and well maintained 76k mile Pace Car. This rare one year only car is one of 1550 Pace Cars produced in 1989! The exterior has received a professional re-spray while the interior has also been refurbished. Mechanically the car is in exceptional condition. It runs and drives very well. The interior, body and mechanicals are all in extremely nice condition. Detailed Vehicle Description Remember – we’re talking about a 26 year old car!!! INTERIOR: The Camel interior is in near perfect condition showing only minimal wear. The dash, gauges and all interior hard trim pieces are excellent. New leather seat covers and headliner – both professionally installed. As ??? previously stated, the leather seats, front and rear, have been recovered. The new headliner, sail panels, door panels, etc. are all in excellent condition. Carpeting is in good condition showing only minimal wear. The original AM/FM radio has been replaced with an aftermarket unit that works well. The power windows & locks function properly. MECHANICAL: It carries the standard Pace Car equipment, i.e., the 3.8L Turbocharged V6 engine, TH200 transmission, power steering, power brakes and A/C. Everything works including the A/C!! It does not smoke/leak/etc. The car starts easily, runs well and the transmission shifts with authority! The 4 wheel disk brakes are excellent. The tires are brand new Falken 245/50R16. They look, ride and handle great. EXTERIOR: The re-sprayed Bright White finish shows very well. The exterior trim pieces and glass are all in good original condition. Any worn weather stripping has been replaced. Under hood is all there, all stock ???and 26 years old! Mileage of 76k appears to be accurate!!! The Toy Barn of Dublin Presents: 1979 Pontiac Trans Am10th Anniversary Limited Edition The Toy Barn is proud to offer this fantastic 1979 10th Anniversary Trans Am with only 16k original miles, a recent trade in towards a Shelby here at our store. This collector-ready survivor is certainly a time capsule, featuring a numbers matching W72 Pontiac 400 and an original aluminum 4-speed transmission in an original silver on silver color combination. Assembled at GM’s Van Nuys, California manufacturing facility in April of 1979, this all-original 10th Anniversary Edition Trans Am was originally delivered to Schappe Pontiac in Madison, Wisconsin. The care of this car over the years is easy to assume when you see it in person. The paint looks excellent overall, and the underside is VERY solid and original. This Trans Am is finished in original combination of correct GM code 15 Platinum Poly and GM code 16 Dark Charcoal, topped with a set of correct black and red outlining stripes, and finished with the world famous five color ‘super bird’ hood decal. Pop the hood and you’ll find an ultra-clean and mostly original engine bay which houses the original 400 cubic inch W72 V8. Behind that motor, a W72-exclusive Borg Warner T10 aluminum 4-speed sends power to the car’s original 10 bolt rear end and optional WS6 ‘special performance’ suspension package. And at the corners of that suspension are the classic 15 inch turbo style wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich rubber. Hello, I hate to do this but it's finally time to sell my pride and joy that I have owned for over 8 years. This description is going to get a little long but please read entire description carefully. I have a 1996 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 for sale. The car is in excellent condition and is probably one of the best of this era you will ever find! Only around 62,000 original miles for a 1996! The car is insured through Hagerty insurance for $25,000 and was recently appraised for $27,000. There is over $30,000 invested into this car. Car can run 12's at over 110 mph. with no trouble and made over 440HP TO THE REAR WHEELS. Blower goes from 8-24 psi and is only at 8 now. With a build motor this car is capable of over 1,000 hp. The car has every option, all power, I am the 4th owner and the previous owner basically restored the entire car from top to bottom with no expense spared. Car has zero rust, bondo, cracks, dents, or chips. Every interior clip and panel was replaced new from gm. The car has very subtle ghost flames on the hood that were added when the car was repainted with a $5,500 dollar paint job with original dupont base coat and dupont hyper clear which is very hard to scratch. The underside of this car is so clean you can eat off it, not matter where you look there is no leaks or dust or dirt at all. Everything is powdercoated and base/clear. Car has never seen, snow, rain, cold weather, major highways, smoking, always stored inside. Interior is near perfect down to the original floor mats with gm logos. The rear spoiler and rear tail lights ect. have been upgraded to 98-02 ones which really improve the look of the car. The following are things I have done to the car in the last 8 years I have owned it: -new fan motors and rewired fans to hidden switches under dash (due to the retune and the blower is is required to override fans with switch to keep car cooler, works great, no big deal) -always changed oil with royal purple synthetic and premium filter and used stabil for winter storage and injector cleaner when car came out -replace headlight module with a used one -new driver and passenger window motors -replaced coolant level sensor -car has monsoon stereo and I installed a double din direct fit pioneer cd player with remote and case (have original monsoon radio but cd player does not work in it) (Pioneer is in car now, the pic was taken when stock deck was still in car) -changed spark plugs with NGK TR6's -changed both 02 sensors -custom painted brake calipers -changed fuel filter -replaced header gaskets, and collector gaskets and bolts -installed a casper fuel pump wire harness upgrade -installed a SLP line lock brake control kit -changed oil in supercharger and supercharger belt (just for maint. purposes) -installed a vortex t-rex inline fuel pump for better fuel pressure -installed a red top optima battery -replaced coolant overflow bottle and battery tray and cap -replaced throttle body elbow and all vacume caps and plugs -replaced throttle position sensor -replace idle air control valve -less then 2 years ago I replaced the MSD box because the other one went bad -also less then 2 years ago the serp belt, a/c compressor, expansion valve, and dryer were all replaced and system was vacummed down and recharged Extras: I am not done yet as I have plenty of extras to go with the car. -2 sets of keys with remotes -extra supercharger oil and a belt ($200.00) -a $400.00 custom fit car cover with plastic bin to keep it in in the summer when it's off -original 17" ws6 wheels in mint condition with the original good year tires with about 60% tread left (people pay $500-$1,000 for these as they are rare) -2 16" z28 wheels with hoosier street legal slicks for going to the track (they have almost no use on them and I paid $500.00 for wheels and tires) -original owners manual -a complete set of factory service manuals -tons of brochures and flyers and ads and articles about the trans. am ws6 (all come with the car) -THIS CAR IS FULLY DOCUMENTED WITH 2 BINDERS FULL OF RECEIPTS AND RECORDS OF EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN DONE WITH ORIGINAL INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS AND EVERYTHING -Title is free and clear with no liens or anything!!! Now for the negatives: The only thing I can say bad about this car is it does show some signs or wear here and there as it is a used car such as a little wear on the drivers seat bolster and the fuel gauge does not work. This is common and I just never got around to fixing it. I use the odometer to know when I need to fuel up. Always run premium fuel only! Please serious buyers only. I am not here to play games!!! I am a honest person and I expect the same from you! Car must be payed for in full within 7 days of auction end and must be picked up within 10 days of auction end. For sale is my 1998 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. It has the 5,7L LS1 motor. LS6 Intake, port an polish head work, new BBK long tube stainless headers, whole exhaust is new from headers back, including catylic conveter. has about a year old ibach springs in rear. Front struts were replaced at sometime, also front bushings have been replaced. new rear break lines, new 3 days old drilled an slotted rotors an pads all around. Transmission is about a month old an I spent $1,100 on the rebuild. A vavle body shift kit was installed, 6 pack cluthes, instead of the usual 4pack, new torque conveter, an external heavy duty trans cooler. She runs an drives great! Very powerful, goes straight own road, tight suspension rides smooth, no squeaks an rattles. It isn't a brand new car but it is a very nice, last of a era trans am. The exterior id give a 9 out of 10. There is no dull spots, no clear coat peeling, no paint missing, there is two bad spots on passenger which I have pics of them included an I circled the bad spots in the pics you can zoom them an see them. They have been touched up with exact color paint an is hardly noticeable unless your two foot away. interior id give a 8 out of 10, but it spotless an really clean. the dash is cracked, the Traction control button is broke an the plastic around it is cracked. The seats were sewed at sometime but there not ripped or have any holes in them they look fine, the carpets are really clean an not all stained up, the seats are clean, an all the plastics are really clean. gotta shut driver hard sometimes, but passenger side bushings were replaced about a year ago an shut an close like new. the windows go up an down slow but they work an go up an down. head lights go right up an right down like they should. keyless entry an it works. does have a check engine light because of the headers, but its nothing but a light at this point, nothing is wrong with car an wouldn't hesitate to drive this car across country. it has no rust ever, an is act very clean underneath.
