Up for your consideration is one 1979 trans am. This is a mostly complete project car that will need a fair amount of work to get back on the road, has been sitting for a few years with only brief periods of starting it up and moving it around. It does move under its own power,but the more it sits,the harder that becomes. The motor and trans and everything else will need to be gone through just because it has been sitting a while. Very good starting point though. This is a great chance to own a piece of american muscle car history at a reasonable price. For those that remember a better time when gas and tires were cheap, summer nights were spent at the drive ins or on the streets, your girl at your side, or your buddies calling shotgun, here ya go, The good: Comes with a ton of parts, some used,some new,some extra, some better than others. T- tops, a/c( assume that there are missing parts with the a/c system as usually there is with any of these old cars), power locks,power windows,power trunk lock,four wheel disc brakes, dual exhaust, floors including trunk are mostly solid with only minor patching required, tail panel is solid, lights work, most of the interior and trim pieces are there, all glass except for the windshield is good( small crack on the drivers lower corner of the windshield), all seats intact but will need front covers, V8 ,automatic, clean title in hand, will aslo come with three service/repair manuals (Chilton,Haynes, and the third is a factory supplement type service manual) Body is in overall good condition, Will need work in some areas though, restorable regardless. The not so good: Been sitting a while, seals, hoses, gaskets etc. start to break down over time. Brakes need attention,brake light is currently on, at some point in time one of the previous owners did a pretty thorough rustoleum paint job( there is paint on some areas where it doesn't need to be), shaker hood has fixed scoop, shaker base and components long gone,needs a package tray, wheels are camaro( looks good on this car,personal preference i guess. they were on the car when i aquired it),tires were free on the side of the road, hold air for a bit then go flat, they worked for me just moving it around the yard,missing the radio,will need some body work, some minor damage to the lower radiator support panels( looks like it may have gone over a curb or something), probably been raced at some point in its life,fenders hood nose are secured on the car but not completly,put them all on to save some space, have the front lower plastic piece currently off the car, total project car, can't stress that enough, want the buyer to be informed and certain on every aspect prior to buying.Ask questions as i'm sure to have forgotten something, or if you need pictures of a specific area,let me know and i'll try to get them for you.
