There is a short block 79 Pontiac 400 big block to take its place. Very nice project car. Been garage kept for the past 24 years and no rust. Has never been driven in the rain or snow.

It is in EXCELLENT condition both inside and out. This Trans Am is powered by the LS1 V8 engine paired with an automatic transmission. The engine runs great and the transmission shifts smoothly. The exterior is very clean and the paint still shines like new. The Collector Edition decals and badges are still in perfect shape too. It has some minor scuffs at the bottom of the front bumper from being a low riding car. It appears to have been a garage kept vehicle for its whole life. The interior is extremely clean and well kept. The leather seats are clean and show no signs of wear. It has never been smoked in. The dash pad and console lid are in excellent condition. It has a very small crack (~1 inch) on the driver's side door panel. It comes with the Collector Edition floor mats and trophy mat as pictured. Everything on the car works as it should. Overall, this is a very clean and rare find.If you are looking at this you probably already know about how rare of a car this is. 1980 Trans Am Smokey and the bandit edition. NEEDS RESTORED. Has a 301 Turbo engine but was rebuilt not including the turbo so I do not have it. I will start with assistance but the cam is worn out so you can't get the timing set just right. CLEAN TITLE IN HAND. This is a PROJECT CAR!! This car is NOT in driving condition, please understand that. This was my 16th Birthday present in 1983 and has been in the barn since 1997. I had hopes of restoring it but I have 2 young kids now and priorities have changed. The body is ALL original and has never been wrecked. ALL decals sill visible. I've had this vehicle since 2003 and has been a very reliable car. The only reason I'm selling it is because my daughter is needing a car and this is not the one for her. Fluids have been changed on schedule. I've put alot of work into this vehicle over last year keeping it reliable 2013: Plugs and wires 2014:Engine: Upper and lower intake gaskets, tension pulley, coolant flushed, thermostat, coolant sensor, oil pressure switch rear brake pads, wiper pulse board, and A/C sealed and charged; Fuel System: new fuel level sensor and built in access door in hatch for easy fuel pump removal; Transmission: Rebuilt valve body with updates (due to 1870 code), new 1 2 and 3 4 shift accumulator pistons, pressure sensor, and internal wiring harness It does have dents, dings, and scratches. Radio cd player doesn't work and radio display light comes and goes. Needs another center console lid. Will need new tires in the near future. It has cracks on top of each door panel (common stress point on these cars)
