Built 3/25/66 Lynch Road Assembly, Detroit, MI VIN RP23-H61-240525 Shipped 4/17/66 to Secord Chrysler Plymouth, Meriden, CT I found this Satellite in eastern Pennsylvania with 86,000 miles on the odometer, 6000 of which had been put on since 1970! It still had the original alternator, water pump, starter, carbs, distributor, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shifter, and of course engine, transmission, and differential. All of these items are still correct and original to the car. The car was purchased new at Secord Chrysler Plymouth in Meriden, Connecticut, by Richard and Kaye Patterson. Secord Chrysler Plymouth was famous for selling Hi Performance cars in the area in the 60’s and early 70’s. The Patterson’s were a middle aged couple when they made the purchase and bought the car as their only form of transportation. The only modifications they made were to add “Richard” and “Kaye” on the chrome molding on the dash below the ignition key and glove box, respectively (see pictures). They also had the car undercoated before driving it home. They drove the car a lot and put a lot of miles on it the first six or seven years. Included are the notes that Richard kept showing tire changes and brake changes. Some of the key dates and mileages are: New Tires front and rear39,300 miles7/5/68 2 BFG on rear 42,972 miles7/25/68 Pirellis on front 72,620 miles6/9/70 Pirellis off front 80,247 miles9/20/70 Remington’s on front80,247 miles9/20/70 As you can see, they drove the car! Nothing to this point had been replaced except the tires, brakes, oil, and filters. In 1969 the car was paid off. A copy of the title indicating when it was paid off is included. In the early 70’s, the car began to run rough and it was suspected that the rear carburetor was bad. After several failed attempts to rebuild the carb by several local experts, the carb was removed, left in the trunk, and the car parked. The car was last inspected and registered in 1973, as evidenced by the inspection sticker that remained on the windshield until last year. The Patterson’s later moved to the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area, where they became friends with Delores McAlister and her husband. The four became good friends, but the Satellite was never used during their friendship because it had a “bad carb”. In 1999, Mrs. McAlister and her husband were looking for a retirement plan and were leary of the stock market and the future that it held. They read an article in the local paper about the 50 best automotive investments. Mrs. McAllister was very proud to show me the article where the 66 Satellite Hemi was #33. Mrs. McAlister and her husband bought the car from their aging friends for an undisclosed amount of money and they had at least part of their retirement plan! They also bought a 79 Trans Am, another Mopar, and an MG! Soon after purchasing the car, their son began a light restoration project on the car. It included having the engine and transmission professionally rebuilt, and having the car painted. When the engine was disassembled the real root of the issue was obvious; the cup plug had fallen out of the bottom of the intake manifold and crankcase gases were being sucked into the intake. That was quickly fixed with some skillful TIG welding. The car was once again road ready in the early 2000’s. Mrs. McAlister and her husband drove it on nice days but put very few miles on it. Once again something began to make noise and caused the car to be parked. The Dana 60 differential was making a very loud growling noise! As a result, the car sat for 10+ years once again. When I bought the car from Mrs. McAlister, she told me the history of the car, and gave me every bit of paperwork that she had for the car including the original window sticker, a copy of the past titles, and a copy of when the car was paid off in 1969 by Mr. and Mrs. Patterson. The original master cylinder was leaking, the differential sounded like a bag of broken glass, but the engine ran well and the transmission was perfect. The restoration wasn’t flawless, but nothing was ruined or lost in the years of storage and minor use. The window sticker from the last required Pennsylvania inspection was still on the windshield. It was dated 1973. In a true testament to the car sitting for so long, the ring gear was solid rust on the half that was not submerged in the diff fluid. The main case bearings had spun, requiring some tricky machine work on a boring mill, and some special shims to bring it back to its durable original condition. It sports the stock 3.54:1 ratio. I restored the car over the past year and have done it to the best of my knowledge exactly as it was delivered in 1966 to Mr. and Mrs. Patterson. I chose to leave the undercoating on the floorpans since it was in perfect shape and allows me to enjoy the car and use it and drive it without having to clean the underneath. The car is correct numbers matching down to every mechanical part. The interior is 100% original restored except the carpeting and package tray which are new. All of the glass is untouched original to the car and has been buffed to restore and remove any light scratches. All of the aluminum and stainless trim has been restored to perfection. The floor pans still carry the original undercoating that was applied when it left the dealer. The floor pans are absolutely perfect in the car. The suspension and K Frame have been restored. The car runs and drives like the day it was new. The transmission and diff have been restored and rebuilt with all new seals and synchronizers and gears. The engine has been professionally balanced and blueprinted. The carbs are restored and replated and operate perfectly. The 5 rims are the correct 66 Hemi only rims wearing reproduction Blue Streak 7.75-14 tires. The factory console mounted tach works perfectly. Down payment of $2000 will be accepted on Paypal, the rest will be due in cash upon pickup of the car near the Detroit area. Jeff 313 363 8093 Please call with any questions. I am listing this vehicle for my husband and all questions will be directed to him. For Sale: 1965 Plymouth Satellite Two Door Commando. 383 engine with 727 Torque Flite automatic transmission with console shift. Engine, transmission and brakes were rebuilt in 1995 and have less than 2000 miles on them. This car has been in our family for the last 30 years and has been stored inside. I recently purchased it from my older brother to do a complete restoration on it but have realized that my current project car will be all I want to handle. The under carriage of this car is solid, no holes visible in the floor pan and frame looks good also. There are two spare front fenders and patch panels included, along with a spare dash panel and instrument cluster. There are also some miscellaneous parts like tail light lens, mirror etc. I believe this car has a lot of potential and has a good solid base for restoration. Please note: This is not a numbers matching car and the intent was not to restore to show quality. All offers will be considered. Car is available for local pick up with cash. If not able to pick up, buyer must make all arrangements and pay for shipping. Please email with questions or for additional pictures. Thanks for looking!

Runs and drives, I believe it is all original except body work, carpet and paint job with {original color I think they named Richard Petty Blue} was done in the 1980's. I don't see any cracked or broken glass.Side and Door Windows all go up and down. Beautiful car.. Rotisserie Restored by a local award winning Mopar Guru. nothing spared with this restoration...all metal. Originally a very low mileage Plymouth Satellite, stripped down to every nut and bolt. Everything is either new or rebuilt. The engine is a rebuilt 440 with 915 heads, and a 525 cam. It has an RPM intake, and a 830 pro carb. The drive train is a 4 speed manual with a 6 pack lower end with 4:56 gears. We haven't had the car dyno'd, but would estimate it having around 450-500 hp. It rumbles, and is very fast. The interior is immaculate. Cragar wheels with Mickey Thompson sport radials...275/65/15 in back We are a dealer, there is a $150 documentation fee with every sale, and every sale is as-is. Thanks and good luck!

1968 Plymouth Road Runner Tribute QUICK REFERENCE Miles: 0 Stock # 8G142250 Engine: 8 Cylinder Body Style: Convertible Transmission: Automatic Interior Color: Black VIN: RH27D8G142250 Exterior Color: Red Video Click Below for Video Click Below To Watch Video Click Above To Watch Video Click Above for Video 1968 Plymouth Road Runner Tribute Convertible   History   The Plymouth Satellite was an automobile introduced in 1965 as the top model in Plymouth's mid-size Belvedere line. The Satellite remained the top of the line model until the 1967 model year, where it became the mid-price model with the GTX taking its place as the top model. Significant restyling and a higher trim Sport Satellite model was introduced in 1968. 1968 was also the first year that the Satellite line was expanded beyond the 2-door hardtop and convertible, when a 4-door sedan and station wagon were offered.   The Plymouth Road Runner was a performance car built by the Plymouth division of the Chrysler Corporation in the United States between 1968 and 1980. In 1968, the first muscle cars were, in the opinion of many, moving away from their roots as relatively cheap, fast cars as they gained options. Although Plymouth already had a performance car in the GTX, designers decided to go back to the drawing board and reincarnate the original muscle car concept. Plymouth wanted a car able to run 14-second times in the quarter mile and sell for less than US$3000. Both goals were met, and the low-cost muscle car hit the street. The success of the Road Runner would far outpace the upscale and lower volume GTX, with which it was often confused.     VIN RH27D8G142250   If you are looking for a rare car that will have people turning their heads as you roll down the street….  look no further! This Mopar creation was built out of a Plymouth Satellite and a Road Runner. All of the mechanical components are out of an original Road Runner…. everything from the suspension to tach, dash, beep-beep horn and more! This creation was built 6 years ago with over $40k invested in the ground up restoration. This car was originally from Florida, and then moved to North Carolina.  This car is a must-see! The 1964 Belvedere is notable for being the car used to introduce the 426 Chrysler Hemi engine. This was such a significant high-RPM breathing improvement that Hemi-equipped Plymouth Belvederes won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at NASCAR's 1964 Daytona race. One of the winning drivers was the famous Richard Petty. In 1965 the Belvedere became the intermediate size offering. The 1968 television show Adam-12 featured a 1967 model black and white Belvedere as the standard Los Angeles police cruiser. Our inventory is always stored indoors! We have a brand new, state-of-the-art, 30,000 square foot facility that is open to the public. We would love for you to stop by and see us! We are located 20 minutes away from Detroit Metro Airport, and would be happy to pick you up and drop you off if you fly in. New cars arrive daily, and our inventory is always changing. Vanguard Motor Sales owns all of our inventory, we are not a consignment dealership. You are dealing directly with the owner of the vehicle, not a middle man. All of our vehicle titles are free of liens, and we are not selling other peoples problems. Every car we purchase is of the utmost quality. Our mission is to exceed your expectations! If you are interested in this car, or any of our other 100+ cars, don’t wait for the auction to end on eBay. You may loose out if you wait! Our shop is open to the public, and when a walk in customer puts a deposit on a car we reserve the right to close the eBay listing before the auction ends. If you think this car is “The One”, we can end the auction by adding a “But It Now” to the auction for the reserve price. If an auction ends and the bids do not meet the reserve price, we will continue to relist it until it sells. Do not hesitate to contact Tom 7 days a week! We take over 100 photographs of the car, as well as a high definition video, so you know exactly what to expect. We encourage you to hire an independent inspector to check out the car, prior to purchase or bidding. We have a hoist available for views of the undercarriage, and our mechanics are available to speak with if you have any questions. A very nice Satellite project car for you to make a daily driver or clone to a Roadrunner/GTX. The car is located in Bad Axe MI which is about an hour and a half from my home. I drove there this afternoon to check the car out so I could take new pictures and give an updated description. Although there is rust on the undercarriage the body is solid and so are the frame and floor pans. The car has not been started in 3 years because the starter is bad. The drivers front brakes rusted and the wheel will not turn. You must have a trailer with a wench attached to load and haul away the car.I cannot assist you in this process. The last 6 pictures were taken 3 yrs ago -- the others taken today. Regardless of what ebay states there is NO SHIPPING!!! I have included the Best Offer feature to consider your REASONABLE offer. This is the last time this Satellite will be offered. I'd like to see it go to a good home however I will not accept any lowball offers. Happy Bidding! The car is sold as is. Read the description, review the pictures, ask questions. If the winning bidder does not follow through ... meaning PAYMENTan unpaid item case will be opened.
