Offered for sale is a stunning rotisserie restoration, real J Code, 1970 Plymouth AAR 'Cuda, 340 V8 Six Pack with a Slap Stick automatic transmission. Why pay the Barrett Jackson buyer's premium, when this high quality, real J code, AAR Cuda is available and ready to be added to your MOPAR collection. This beautifully restored AAR Cuda features a non-match high compression real period correct TA 340 motor, and has had a color change to the stunning, eye catching, and in your face, high impact Plymouth Limelight Mopar green. The car is less than 54,500 original miles, and features an upgraded rubber bumper, and a modern upgraded in-dash AM/FM/USB stereo with a correct 1970 Cuda retro look and design that puts are a very rich sound. The full rotisserie restoration of body is in near perfect condition, and the high compression 340 TA six-pack (3 x 2 BBL Holley carbs) engine drives strong, starts easily, and does not overheat. The 727 3-speed Torqueflite transmission is tight and shifts smoothly, and the 3.55:1 posi-traction differential makes this powerful factory rated 290 HP Mopar fast off the line, but very smooth and comfortable at higher speed highway driving. The body is laser straight with a rich multi-layer clear coat shine. The trunk, undercarriage and engine compartment are fully restored and detailed, and the interior is in very good condition with minor wear and a few scratches on steering column. The glass is tinted and in great condition, and the chrome is very nice and really shines. The correct Organosol black hood is very nice and one of the best you will find on the market today - as these hoods have a history of being very challenging to paint and present correctly. This car is a real head turner, and a car show favorite. To enhance the show quality presentation of this Mopar legend, it has period correct Goodyear Polyglas GT tires (E60-15 in front and G60-15 in rear), of which the AAR Cuda was the first production car to come standard with the rear tires larger than the front tires. Chrysler produced the AAR model for one year only to compete on the SCAA road race circuit and challenge Ford's BOSS 302 Mustang and Chevy's Z/28 Camaro. AAR stands for Dan Gurney's All American Racers race team, and there were only AAR Cudas 2,724 ever built (built during the March-April 1970 production runs). The production AAR 'Cuda was visually altered from the regular E-body Barracuda with unique 'strobe' stripes that held the AAR 'Cuda logo and a fiberglass hood that actually took in fresh air. It also had front eyebrow spoilers and a rear duck tail spoiler. Unlike the standard Barracuda, the AAR's exhaust came out the sides near the back wheels. Under the hood, the AAR had Chrysler's Six-Pack 340ci engine that was unique to this model and the Dodge Challenger T/A. This version of the 340 differed from a production 340 in many ways including a 3x2 Holley carb set-up, thicker main bearings webs and a set of new 360 'J-Heads' with 2.02/1.60 valves. In a way, it was a kind-of a 'small-block hemi' - it could really breathe. The motor was factory rated at 290hp. However, the de-stroked 305ci track version put out 440hp, which leads one to believe that the factory rating may have been a bit conservative. Power is delivered to a 3.55:1 posi-traction differential by a bulletproof Chrysler 727 3-speed Torqueflite. The fender tag reads from the top to bottom line as follows: Line 1: R11, V6H, Y06, 26, EN1Line 2: J45, J82, M21, M88, N44, N94Line 3: V1X, A53, B51, C16 C55, G34Line 4: FK5, H6X9, 000, 403, 155227Line 5: E55, D32, BS23 J0B 296235 The engine block stamp on rear of driver's side is: 3577130.T.A.340.The engine block stamp on front driver's side just below the head is: FW340 P37450454The engine block stamp on rear of passenger's side is very hard to read if there at all. This is where the block would be stamped with the last 6 digits of the VIN. I am not sure if it is very faint and hard to read, or simply not stamped, which would imply a warranty replacement block if it is not stamped. This is one nice MOPAR. Please call Paul at 248-573-5013 if you should have any questions. This car is also being listed locally, and the seller reserves the right to end the auction prior to the end of auction date/time.

RARE and VERY SPECIAL MOPAR: This particular AAR Cuda is a very rare and special car. With only 2,724 AAR Cudas ever produced – of which only 1,120 came with 4-speed transmissions - this is a very rare Mopar. Making this car even rarer and more special is the fact that it is a true survivor, highly original, and unrestored car in mint condition with less than only 35,000 original miles. As if this wasn’t enough, the car came for the private collection of NASCAR legend Ray Evernham. Ray Evernham is a 3-time NASCAR champion crew chief for Jeff Gordon, and was named the NASCAR Winston Cup Illustrated “Person of the Year” in 1999. Ray presently serves as a consultant to Hendrick Motorsports and hosts Velocity's TV show "AmeriCarna". He is also a classic car analyst for the Barrett Jackson car auctions. Ray is a great guy and philanthropist. He is very active for the cause of autism, and has a foundation named the Evernham Family Racing for a Reason. Finally, this special AAR Cuda just received Top Show Honors at the 2015 Le Concours de Livingston - an invitation only concourse event featuring over 100 premier classic cars and motorcycles. THEY'RE ONLY ORIGINAL ONCE: As mentioned above, this 1970 AAR Cuda it is a true survivor, highly original, and unrestored car in mint condition with less than only 35,000 original miles. The AAR-spec 340 Six Barrel engine is unstamped, and verified to be a warranty replacement by the original selling Plymouth dealership, which took place in 1971. With the exception of the dealer installed warranty replacement block, upgraded radio tires, battery, belts and hoses, the remainder of the car is all original and in fantastic survivor condition; including the Six Barrel carburetors, 4-speed transmission (D21) and rear differential (D57), fast ratio power steering (S74), power disc brakes, side exhaust (N44), very rare Elastomeric (A21) colored front bumper, wheels, all the body metal, chrome, trunk compartment, floorboards, black high bucket vinyl seats, carpet, dash, instrument panel, solid state AM radio (R11), and the finally, the all original high impact yellow paint (Lemon Twist, code FY1). In review of the pictures including in this listing, please pay special attention to the “hurray up and get these AAR Cudas out the factory door” paint over-spray in the engine compartment, trunk, and undercarriage. The first picture of the trunk shows paint drippings very common of original factory paint jobs. Again, this is a non-restored car, with all original metal and paint! MINT UNRESTORED CONDITION: This is an unrestored survivor in excellent condition. The body is rust free and straight, and the paint and chrome are in great condition and really shines. There are few very minor light scuffs on the side of the doors, and a very small dent on the hood of the car. The engine has minor wear marks and light rust in areas such as the fan blades. The original side strobe stripes (V6H) are in good condition, with very minor wear or peeling. The interior of the car is in fantastic condition, and shows very little if any wear. It even includes the original steering column lock instructions on the driver side sun visor. The trunk is in great condition, and only has slight surface rust stains in a few areas. This is the same for the undercarriage. It is in very good condition, with only light surface rust on shocks, springs, and a few other places. This Cuda starts easy and runs strong, and is perfect working condition, including the motor, transmission, brakes, and steering. All of the instruments are in great working condition. The battery is new, and the oil was last changed in April of 2015. Included with the sale is the original window sticker. OWNERSHIP HISTORY: Built on April 15, 1970 at the Hamtramck assembly plant, this four (4) owner Mopar legend was originally sold new at H.L. Moore Chrysler Plymouth in Albany, CA. It was originally purchased by Marshall K of Livermore, CA. He was the brother-in-law of the owner of the dealership. A great guy and avid car collector named Jon K out of the Minneapolis, MN area, acquired the AAR Cuda (as well as a 1964 Plymouth Fury) from the original owner in the late 1970s. The car had just over 30,000 miles on it at this time, and Jon bought it at the age of 40 to add to his fast growing car collection. Jon was early to recognize the future growing values of classic cars, and recognized the AAR Cuda as a special car that would only increase in value. As such, the car was acquired to become part of his collection and appreciate in value, and not to drive. Jon informed me that he removed the driver’s side hood spring when storing, as to limit the upward bowing of the fiberglass hood. Nearing retirement, Jon sold the the AAR Cuda as part of a block of other cars he had collected. The Cuda was sold in January 2013 at the Mecum Auction, at which time the actual mileage had increased to only 33,232 miles. Due to both its originality and rich racing history, Ray Evernham acquired the car to add to his collection of cars displayed in Mooresville, NC. For those of you that watch AmeriCarna, you know that Ray is a great car lover, and seeks out unique and interesting cars with a lot of history and originality. One of Ray’s bucket-list cars had always been a white 1958 Impala like the one from his favorite movies - American Graffiti. Ray contacted me earlier this year about my 1958 Impala. My Impala was not only the same look and color to the Impala in American Graffiti, but was very original and in great condition, featured a # match 348 tri-power motor, and had very low mileage at only 39K miles. After completely verifying the originality of the Impala, we agreed on a partial trade for the Impala for a car from his collection of over 80 classics and race cars. Included in the pictures featured in this listing are pictures of the AAR Cuda as part of the Ray Evernham collection of cars in North Carolina, and a picture of Ray with the 1958 Impala acquired as part of the transaction for the AAR Cuda. Ray mentioned how much he loves the 1958 Impala in the November 2015 issue of Hemmings magazine that included a feature article on Ray and his impressive collection. There are also pictures of Jon K, the second owner of the AAR Cuda. They include pictures of the AAR Cuda when it was owned by Jon, as well as pictures of other cars that were or are still today part of Jon's impressive car collection. There is also a recent picture of Jon with the ORIGINAL Goodyear Polyglas GT E60-15s and G60-15 tires that came original on the AAR Cuda from the factory. I took this picture recently when I met with Jon in the Minneapolis, MN area. The ORIGINAL tires ARE INCLUDED with the purchase of the AAR Cuda. Finally, there is a picture of the AAR Cuda receiving Top Show Honors at the 2015 Le Concours de Livingston. A review of Hagerty valuation information shows that the AAR Cudas have not only been steadily increasing in value, but have experienced an especially sharp increase in value over the past few months. This special and unrestored 1970 AAR Cuda would be a great investment and fantastic additional to any Mopar collection.

Built 3/25/66 Lynch Road Assembly, Detroit, MI VIN RP23-H61-240525 Shipped 4/17/66 to Secord Chrysler Plymouth, Meriden, CT I found this Satellite in eastern Pennsylvania with 86,000 miles on the odometer, 6000 of which had been put on since 1970! It still had the original alternator, water pump, starter, carbs, distributor, master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shifter, and of course engine, transmission, and differential. All of these items are still correct and original to the car. The car was purchased new at Secord Chrysler Plymouth in Meriden, Connecticut, by Richard and Kaye Patterson. Secord Chrysler Plymouth was famous for selling Hi Performance cars in the area in the 60’s and early 70’s. The Patterson’s were a middle aged couple when they made the purchase and bought the car as their only form of transportation. The only modifications they made were to add “Richard” and “Kaye” on the chrome molding on the dash below the ignition key and glove box, respectively (see pictures). They also had the car undercoated before driving it home. They drove the car a lot and put a lot of miles on it the first six or seven years. Included are the notes that Richard kept showing tire changes and brake changes. Some of the key dates and mileages are: New Tires front and rear39,300 miles7/5/68 2 BFG on rear 42,972 miles7/25/68 Pirellis on front 72,620 miles6/9/70 Pirellis off front 80,247 miles9/20/70 Remington’s on front80,247 miles9/20/70 As you can see, they drove the car! Nothing to this point had been replaced except the tires, brakes, oil, and filters. In 1969 the car was paid off. A copy of the title indicating when it was paid off is included. In the early 70’s, the car began to run rough and it was suspected that the rear carburetor was bad. After several failed attempts to rebuild the carb by several local experts, the carb was removed, left in the trunk, and the car parked. The car was last inspected and registered in 1973, as evidenced by the inspection sticker that remained on the windshield until last year. The Patterson’s later moved to the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area, where they became friends with Delores McAlister and her husband. The four became good friends, but the Satellite was never used during their friendship because it had a “bad carb”. In 1999, Mrs. McAlister and her husband were looking for a retirement plan and were leary of the stock market and the future that it held. They read an article in the local paper about the 50 best automotive investments. Mrs. McAllister was very proud to show me the article where the 66 Satellite Hemi was #33. Mrs. McAlister and her husband bought the car from their aging friends for an undisclosed amount of money and they had at least part of their retirement plan! They also bought a 79 Trans Am, another Mopar, and an MG! Soon after purchasing the car, their son began a light restoration project on the car. It included having the engine and transmission professionally rebuilt, and having the car painted. When the engine was disassembled the real root of the issue was obvious; the cup plug had fallen out of the bottom of the intake manifold and crankcase gases were being sucked into the intake. That was quickly fixed with some skillful TIG welding. The car was once again road ready in the early 2000’s. Mrs. McAlister and her husband drove it on nice days but put very few miles on it. Once again something began to make noise and caused the car to be parked. The Dana 60 differential was making a very loud growling noise! As a result, the car sat for 10+ years once again. When I bought the car from Mrs. McAlister, she told me the history of the car, and gave me every bit of paperwork that she had for the car including the original window sticker, a copy of the past titles, and a copy of when the car was paid off in 1969 by Mr. and Mrs. Patterson. The original master cylinder was leaking, the differential sounded like a bag of broken glass, but the engine ran well and the transmission was perfect. The restoration wasn’t flawless, but nothing was ruined or lost in the years of storage and minor use. The window sticker from the last required Pennsylvania inspection was still on the windshield. It was dated 1973. In a true testament to the car sitting for so long, the ring gear was solid rust on the half that was not submerged in the diff fluid. The main case bearings had spun, requiring some tricky machine work on a boring mill, and some special shims to bring it back to its durable original condition. It sports the stock 3.54:1 ratio. I restored the car over the past year and have done it to the best of my knowledge exactly as it was delivered in 1966 to Mr. and Mrs. Patterson. I chose to leave the undercoating on the floorpans since it was in perfect shape and allows me to enjoy the car and use it and drive it without having to clean the underneath. The car is correct numbers matching down to every mechanical part. All of the glass is untouched original to the car and has been buffed to restore and remove any light scratches. All of the aluminum and stainless trim has been restored to perfection. The floor pans still carry the original undercoating that was applied when it left the dealer. The floor pans are absolutely perfect in the car. The suspension and K Frame have been restored. The car runs and drives like the day it was new. The transmission and diff have been restored and rebuilt with all new seals and synchronizers and gears. It was rotisserie restored about five years ago by a man in Michigan. He did most of the work himself and did a fantastic job. The car has mostly brand new metal on it. The most interesting part of this build is that he cloned it into a Hemi Cuda. The car runs and drives very nice and has only been driven a few times the build was completed. He stored the car in a climate controlled garage. Spare keys, dyno information and a stack of receipts from the build are included in the sale. Built 3/25/66 Lynch Road Assembly, Detroit, MI Shipped 4/17/66 to Secord Chrysler Plymouth, Meriden, CT I found this Satellite in eastern Pennsylvania with 86,000 miles on the odometer, 6000 of which had been put on since 1970! The interior is 100% original restored except the carpeting and package tray which are new. The engine has been professionally balanced and blueprinted. The carbs are restored and replated and operate perfectly. The 5 rims are the correct 66 Hemi only rims wearing reproduction Blue Streak 7.75-14 tires. The factory console mounted tach works perfectly. Down payment of $2000 will be accepted on Paypal, the rest will be due in cash upon pickup of the car near the Detroit area. Jeff 313 363 8093 Please call with any questions. I'm listing this car for my Dad and I will describe it as best I can. This is a California car brought to MI around '96. He bought it in 97 and its been garage kept with very few miles put on it. This is an all original complete 1968 sport fury convertible. H code 383 4 bbl original motor as far as I know. Power windows, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, power steering, power brakes, A/C, power top, power driver seat, bucket seats, console. It does need a little TLC, I did find a small tear(about 1 inch long) in the back seat. The paint is a 20 ft, paint job, looks great from 20 feet away. the only rust on the whole car is in the rear floor boards and is basically some pin holes that I cleaned the rust out and sealed, still very solid. He put a new top on with the glass rear window and also a new cover for when the top is down. The interior is in very nice condition but not perfect, the drivers door panel has some wear in the area where you'd rest your arm while driving and some faded or worn chrome in places. the dash pad looks to be in nice shape. a/c doesn't work. breaks work great but it does need a break booster. dash lights don't work either. Always starts right up, runs and drives good, we just drove it 250 miles from Indian River MI to my house in Gregory MI with no problems. It might need a tune up though because it does idle slightly rough. I was told the trans was rebuilt just before it was brought back from California but i cant confirm with receipts, I wouldn't even have mentioned it but even before I was told about it I kinda wondered because when i lifted it up on the hoist it looked very clean like a rebuild and the trans really shifts, down shifts and goes into gear very nice! there is also some spare parts in the trunk. looks like spare skirts, extra back seat, a spare instrument cluster and some other misc parts. I can email more pics upon request. shipping: Reliable Carriers inc is located in Canton MI. which is near my place of employment. I am willing to drive the car there. reliablecarriers.com 734-453-6677

I am listing this vehicle for my husband and all questions will be directed to him. For Sale: 1965 Plymouth Satellite Two Door Commando. 383 engine with 727 Torque Flite automatic transmission with console shift. Engine, transmission and brakes were rebuilt in 1995 and have less than 2000 miles on them. This car has been in our family for the last 30 years and has been stored inside. I recently purchased it from my older brother to do a complete restoration on it but have realized that my current project car will be all I want to handle. The under carriage of this car is solid, no holes visible in the floor pan and frame looks good also. There are two spare front fenders and patch panels included, along with a spare dash panel and instrument cluster. There are also some miscellaneous parts like tail light lens, mirror etc. I believe this car has a lot of potential and has a good solid base for restoration. Please note: This is not a numbers matching car and the intent was not to restore to show quality. All offers will be considered. Car is available for local pick up with cash. If not able to pick up, buyer must make all arrangements and pay for shipping. Please email with questions or for additional pictures. Thanks for looking!
