"Stainless and Chrome" 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe. These post-war coupes were designed for the returning troops who wanted a little more from their ride. Plymouth loaded these down with stainless steel, chrome, and hardwood accents. This beauty has 61,000 Original miles and it is bone dry.... There is not even any scale on the frame. Not a single rust bubble anywhere.. This is essentially a 2 owner car that was brought down to Florida from Virginia back in the late 80s, where the owner did a complete paint and restore . . It is 100% complete.. Resprayed original color some 30+ years back,.I have pictures of the whole restore and there was no rust back then.. Original headliner, new upholstery ordered from the factory, all wood is refinished and looks beautiful, new door panels, rubber mats, etc.. I purchased this car from the second owner.. He systematically went through most everything.. Under the hood every gasket, hose, belt, clamp, etc. is new, as well as the water pump, battery, plugs, wires, radiator, complete fuel system from tank forward, had the motor rebuilt too. Original 6 volt electrical system with a new battery . It runs beautifully.. On cold start I don't touch the gas.. Just blip the start button and it fires up and idles perfect.... .. All of this on the dryest, coolest, stock survivor 50 Plymouth around.. All of the bakelite knobs and handles are perfect.. The chrome is excellent, bumpers are straight but not perfect with a few dings, The grill, headlight rings etc...Amazingly clean and straight and original.. And I can not over emphasize how perfectly rust free this car is... Look at all of the pictures. These cars are clearly appreciating nicely I have all the original manuals and all the pictures of the repainting in the early '80s, as well as lots of extra chrome parts, even upholstery fabric and paint...
