this is a two owner car. the original owner took great care of this vehicle and was sold sometime in the late 60's to a collector. this plymouth underwent a full restoration in the early 70's and was used only for car shows but spent majority of its time in a garage in a collection. the brakes have been replaced and are still drum brakes. starter was rebuilt as the latest owner had inherited from his uncle, the collector, and had put a 12 volt battery in the 6 volt system and burnt the starter up. the car had set so long in a collection and hardly driven that the brake linings and clutch lining had deteriorated into mush. clutch has been replaced. the nephew that inherited it, could not get it started due to lack of knowledge and gas being so old that it would not burn and sold it to sweetrides restorations. gas has been replaced and now runs like brand new. everything works! even the am radio (which is original)the title has engine id on it and matches the engine inside. this vehicle is a rare one of a kind all original even the front license plate is the exact same numbers issued to it in 48! that tag will come with the vehicle. also to note, the spark plugs that were replaced were double check plugs that were produced in the 1930's. those plugs will come with the car upon buyers request. i have personally driven this car around 25 miles and am incredibly impressed with it. now for the repairs still needed. weather stripping needs replaced. i have searched and the weatherstipping can be found on ebay.there is a rubber step piece on drivers side that needs replaced but carpet and floor are in great shape. there is a ;rub" mark on paint job and a small ding in lower chrome on drivers side but otherwise, the paint job is in great shape and is original color and was painted in the 70's though i have no way of knowing 100 percent. i would not be surprised if this is original paint job. now for the prosthis is an all original car!! not a piece together restoration but all original!!there is no rust, no rust throughs anywhere! no rust at all!! radio works, cigarette lighter works, lights work, wipers work, horn works, emergency brake works. all doors shut tight.this car drives smooth and turns like it was power assisted steering!!this car is being sold from sweetrides restorations located in hiram georgia and i will give a 12 month powertrain warranty as long as sweetrides is allowed to make necessary repairs. i have full confidence in the engine and transmission. shippping is left up to the buyer! if you wish to see a video of this car in motion then go to youtube and type in search these numbers 20141007 164051car will be listed locally and will be pulled if sold locally. This car maintains an oil pressure of 40 at idle and up to 45 when accelerated. Pure oil, no additives. 97834 original miles.
