62,729 ORIGINAL MILES 1983 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale 4 Door Sedan with notch windows. Charcoal gray metalflake body color. Silver gray vinyl roof. V8 307 (5.0 L) 4BBL engine, automatic transmission, power windows, power steering, tilt wheel, [note: Cruise control does not work - see conditions below], Wire hubcaps, original air conditioning. Non-smoker driven its entire life. This car was owned by my grandfather, who kept service records (included) and stored it in his suburban Missouri garage most days. As a vehicle of this age, obviously there are a couple issues, but be aware that it was reconditioned to successfully be driven 800+ miles from Missouri to its current location... The interior is in spectacular condition for its age. Gray velour seats, very comfortable, steering column / dash are not cracked or faded, dash looks great. Documented replacement of headliner, quarter trim panels, and sun-visors in 2003. Note issues below regarding speedometer and dash clock. New components: new radiator, new alternator, new Firestone whitewall tires.Fluids and lubrication have been kept up. Known age conditions: Body:* Driver side-view mirror is missing its adjustment mechanism - mirror itself is siliconed in place.* Paint is overall good. There are 1 or 2 scuffs, and about 4 locations back at the trunk where body was dinged from the inside, with resultant tiny bits of surface rust.* Plastic shroud at rear bumper is cracked and missing a piece behind driver side rear wheel.* Retractable radio antenna is stuck in extended position (see below)* Vinyl top overall good - plastic trim around back and rear sides very cracked/crazed. Mechanical/Electrical:* 1 circuit (dash clock, cig lighter, antenna) drains battery - if you leave out that fuse, battery is fine.* Cruise Control/Speedometer: speedometer cable that passes thru cruise control unit is sheared off at unit, so speedometer does not register and cruise control does not work. Cruise Control could be bypassed.* Radiator overflow plastic reservoir has a slow leak at hose from radiator.* Driver's seatbelt slightly frayed at buckle. This would be a nice collector car if restored, or a very comfortable daily driver without doing much more to its current condition. Needs body and mechanical work. Planned on fixing it up but have not had the time. Last driven and passed Maryland Emissions testing in 2005. Has been sitting in driveway covered with tarp since 2007. Needs at least a battery and new brake lines. Will start with new battery but cannot be driven without brakes. Some rusting has taken place and there are dents that need to be addressed. Will need new paint job as well as interior work on front driver seat and ceiling fabric needs to be replaced. Have 2 of the original hub caps, both in good condition (not in photos). The car was owned by my dad who was disabled and passed away in 1999. It was then driven by my son for a few years until he bought his own vehicle. Engine only has 62,204 miles on it and had great V8 pickup. It has not been driven since 2007 but I got it started recently by temporarily hooking up a friends new battery and priming the carb. It was run for a good 25 minutes where I found that the brakes did not work although the emergency brake was fine. The transmission worked but the A/C needed help. My guess is that the fr-eon leaked out after a period of time. Now, I am intending to move shortly and need to sell the car. This is a great deal for someone who wants to take on a moderate restoration and who likes cars with real pick-up. I can provide some maintenance records from 1986 through 2003. This is a very nice 1960 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 4Dr hardtop . This was pretty much a one owner California car from the early sixties until I bought it from an estate sale about 5 years ago I have all the California annual registrations and original bill of sale. the car had very little rust and was repainted in the original color, the paint job is very good quality and has a clear coat to protect the color that the original paint did not have . The interior was in need of a redo when I got it, the years of California's sun had taken its toll on the original upholstery. A new headliner was installed, and I located some yardage of the original Cloth material and original color & grain vinyl and had a local shop redo the seats in an original style as close as we could ( there were some original stamped vinyl sections we could not reuse or reproduce , but otherwise original stock patterns were maintained for a factory look ) , new carpets were installed and metal interior trim that needed freshening up was color matched and professionally repainted , the best door panels I could locate came from a Super 88 model and they were freshen up to match by the upholstery shop to match as close as possible , all the effort resulted in a very attractive new interior that shows well and will last for years with reasonable car .The car has fairly new radial tires , new battery , generator , voltage regulator , belts, hoses, brakes, carb was rebuilt, all the lights wiper horns etc. all work , and the car drives well. The original AM radio is not working is was going to look into doing a modern stereo conversion done on it on because I didn't want to modify the dash for something more modern, but never got around to it. This is a very nice fun car that turned heads and provokes admiring comments whenever its out and about. Its nice enough to show well in local shows , parades , and car meets I can't verify the mileage but this car was a registered daily driver with one California owner for almost forty years and that documentation comes with the car I added some pictures of the underside that were requested , I had pressure washed all the dirt and muck off the bottom and knocked some of the original under coating that was loose of the floor pans a while ago , and I cleaned up those areas and re sealed them with fresh undercoat so dirt couldn't collect again, but the floor are all original and good other then a small spot that was cut out on the drivers floor (see photo ) and replaced with new metal , dirt had collected in the original undercoat that blistered and it cause a small area the pinhole so it was fixed when the new carpets were installed . all the typical rust prone areas around the rear wheels and inner panels are completely solid and original and the trunk floor is original and very solid I can only get so many pictures on here but these show how original and solid the car is

1954 OLDSMOBILE SUPER 88 2 DOOR HOLIDAY HARDTOP. THIS CAR IS IN AMAZING CONDITION, IT WAS A WEST COAST CAR MOST OF ITS LIFE AND IS COMPLETLY RUST FREE. IT HAS BEEN MAINTAINED TO ORIGINAL STOCK CONDITION, JUST AS IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY 60 YEARS AGO. IT IS POWERED BY THE ORIGINAL 324 CUBIC INCH ROCKET MOTOR AND 4 BARREL ROCHESTER CARBURETOR, THE MOTOR HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REBUILT AND IS BACKED UP WITH RECEIPTS AND PICTURES TO DOCUMENT. THE TRANSMISSION IS THE ORIGINAL HYDRAMATIC 4 SPEED WHICH HAS ALSO BEEN REBUILT AND DOCUMENTED.
